They are plastic bins that come from Canada Post that we use to put bundled newspapers (that we print for our client) and then the totes go into cages and get shipped to a Canada Post distribution centre, who then distributes the totes to the smaller post offices for distribution to the mailboxes of the readers. There is paperwork and tags that instruct us what to put in each tote. They are about 20" long on the long side, about 10" wide on the short side and about 14-16" high and there are lids to snap on if the client requests it. I think Canada Post calls them "Letter Flattainers" they have silly names, like the metal wire cages are called "monos". Weird. You wouldnt likely see them as it's something used within the postal system, the end user (reader of the papers) just gets there paper in the post box and don't realize it rode to that post office in a tote. We call those jobs "Mail Prep" as they are being prepared a certain way for our client and for Canada Post.
The banner is configured to not show up again once you click on the X (assuming if you do that, you already saw it and it does not need to be shown again). I use the banner mostly to point visitors to upcoming events/classes/workshops.
I always use the remember me box, but now I just logged out and when I login I can see the banner, but as soon as I fill in name and password it is gone and I can't see the banner any longer. Now I know if there is a banner I will have to logout and login to see what it is all about.
Interesting. I just tried on my laptop and it displays normally. And yes, there should be an X to close it. You changed the zoom on your computer, but did you try changing the resolution?
If you cannot see the banner and the X, do you see the Login/Register link on top? They are supposed to be at the same height.
Good evening Carole, at the moment there is a banner in the start screen when I open the Campus above what there normally is. You use that frequently but I work on a laptop and for me it is impossible to read because it is too high up on the page, I just can see the bottom and I suspect there is a X to close it. Of course I have tried if changing my computer's zoom does help, alas no. I wonder if I'm the only one with this annoying problem on a laptop? Maybe you aren't aware of this tiny problem and well after a couple of years thinking "ok I can live without seeing that banner" nothing will change if I don't mention it.
