Scrapbooking Theme – Paper
Unlike newspapers,
People all over the globe use millions of metric tons of paper every year. Luckily, it is one of the most recyclable materials. Paper, typically made from wood pulp, is a sustainable product because it can be easily reused, recycled, and renewed. Although not all paper products can be considered recyclable, there are still a whole lot of them that can be reused such as magazines, newspapers, and office papers.
Have you tried recycling papers? Do you collect paper scraps simply because they’re too pretty to throw away? Or maybe you keep some papers because they hold memories you don’t want to forget? Whatever it may be, we hope that the layouts featured here will spark your interest to put those papers into good use and flaunt them in a scrapbook project.
Using overlays in PaintShop Pro
Among the various supplies that one can use with PaintShop Pro, overlays are not native or specific to the program. You will not find a tool or a command to use overlays. You use them "on their own".
Featured Resource – Clip to it
If you are pressed for time and need to complete a scrapbook album for a particular event, you might want to use a template. That will ease the work of deciding where to place this photo or that element or that paper. Templates can definitely be time-savers. Once you have chosen the template and the photos you want, you can go through the creation process even faster with a simple script called Clip to it.
Selective focus in PaintShop Pro
Photographers have been able to adjust their camera settings to take great photos with a focus on their subject while the rest is purposefully out of focus. However, we don't all have a camera with that capability or we just happen to have a photo that could use that effect, but it is too late to take it again. With PaintShop Pro, we can recreate that selective focus (a feature available since version X4).
Using “reversed” shadows
In creating digital projects, we have to be well aware of the power of shadows so we can replicate their effect and avoid a flat digital look, especially if we want to have a realistic layout. You already know that shadows will indicate the source of the light, the thickness of the element, and its distance from the surface the shadow is cast on. However, there is another way to use the Drop Shadow command in PaintShop Pro to mean something else.
Scrapbooking Theme – Shoes
Shoes are intended to protect and comfort our feet. Sometimes people buy them for decoration and others use them for fashion purposes. You'd be surprised at the variety and styles of shoes available today, even though they're primarily designed to keep our toes warm and covered. There are ones that are ideal for working. Some are great for walking and other everyday activities while others are perfect for special occasions.
Are you fond of collecting shoes? Do you pick a pair of shoes because you like the style or do you usually go for comfort and durability? Whatever the answer may be, we hope that you’ll be inspired to showcase your favorite shoes on a scrapbook page after checking the beautiful layouts featured below.
Adding an element to a photo
When you have a photo, sometimes, you would like to add a little something that was not in the photo. It could be for a laugh or something more serious but adding a new element to a photo can be used in many contexts. Let's see how we can add a simple element to an ordinary photo.
Add Text Along any Path
In various projects, adding text is essential, whether it is for a title, a name or additional information. By default, text will be displayed in a straight line. However, with PaintShop Pro, one can get very creative and place the text in different ways, following a different path.
Scrapbooking Theme – Outer Space
Outer space, also known as ‘space’, is the area outside the Earth’s atmosphere where planets, stars, and other celestial bodies are situated. Scientists have said that this particular zone is about 100 kilometers (60 miles) above sea level. There are about four different regions of space. They are the Geospace, the Interplanetary space, the Interstellar space, and the Intergalactic space.
Have you ever dreamed of going to outer space? Do you imagine yourself wearing space suits and go on space exploration? Make that wish come true even just on a scrapbook page! Here, we’re going to share some great layouts that showcase anything related to outer space.
