This year I used gnomes as a theme for my youngest grandsons' Christmas Cards. The backgrounds are from CF and Canva. The front letters are pngs from CF which were stacked using Carole's Alpha Stacking script and then entered into the Text Creator script. The candy cane frame is my own from my Build a kit 2. The purple belt Taekwondo gnome is from Adobe Express AI in honor of Thomas just receiving his purple belt. The inside gnome is from CF, and the candy cane letters are from my alphas in Build a Kit 2. I did not save the name of the inside font but it is from CF.4 points

Week 51 The little town where I live goes in for quite a lot of Christmas decorations which is lovely and helps cheer up the short days of December. A new addition this year was this reindeer in the florist’s shop window. It made me smile when I first saw it – just because it’s so cute. Having taken the photo I had to laugh when I noticed the way the phone number is positioned – perhaps it’s a hot line in case anyone recognises a reindeer who slid of a roof, banged its head, and can’t remember who it is…3 points

When our Church added on two additions right & left of the original, the ladies in the office wanted to know if I could create a unobstructed view of the whole thing. Whew, it became quite a challenge. I could not get nearly far enough back to get the whole thing because of large trees. I took several picks from the sames location, and some from different places but at the same distance. I finally got it the best I could and they were very happy with it. It has been used many times. (the bricks on the new part are darker so that is not a mistake).3 points

N = Night of Nights I thought this was fascinating: "The Night of Nights is celebrated annually every July 12. It commemorates when the last commercial Morse code transmission in the U.S. was sent. Many years ago messages, usually in Morse code, were transmitted by radio waves. Through the efforts of the Maritime Radio Historical Society (M.R.H.S.), West Marin’s historic Morse code radio station KPH returns to the air for a day and transmits in Morse code from 5:01 pm to midnight. Listeners wait to hear the signals of the great station once again fill their receivers. Many will join the M.R.H.S. at the receiving station at the Point Reyes National Seashore to marvel as the signals are transmitted by hand using vintage telegraph keys."2 points

I have never thought of you (or anyone else) in that kind of "traditional" garb. My mother and her sister each made their own "kroj" (pronounced kroy) when they were young and wore them in Canada and the US in the 1940s & 50s for special occasions. This photo shows them (mother & sister) as children in their native garb in Moravia). I wish so much I had one of those intricate, lovingly-made dresses to preserve.1 point

It seems like the weather pattern in my area has changed over the years. I do remember snow at Christmas time as a child. Most of the time it was just enough to cover the grass and not cause driving problems Every once in awhile we will have a big snowfall. I just looked through my photos and in 2012 we had a big snowfall. I think it was at least 10 inches. I chose to stay home and not travel the 35 miles to a cousin's house. Looks like the last time we had any snow was 2017 which also was the year of really cold temps with wind chills of below zero through the new year. I'm OK with one really big snow a year. I like taking photos of it when it is fresh. I just hate going out in it and thankfully these days I don't have to when it does snow!1 point

Christmas has been hard for me since Mom passed away in 1996 on December 26th. I've gone through phases where I decorate a lot or don't decorate at all. Most people get their seasonal depression in January... not me, it starts right after Thanksgiving. On January 1st, I'm a whole new person! The last couple of years I haven't done much decorating at all. Last year was very little because of everything going on and having surgery on the 18th. I just didn't have the energy to do it. I hope to do more this year to celebrate my health being much better! For a few years, Christmas music was a trigger for me and I couldn't listen to it. Still can't listen to certain songs as they were favorites of Mom. I have some Christmas music of artists (mainly country) that I do enjoy listening to. But what turns me off the most is the constant Christmas movies on all the different Hallmark channels starting in late October (and can't forget the whole month of July). I used to enjoy them but not anymore.1 point

I, too, have all 4 of Carole's books. The 1st 2 on Kindle. and the next 2 in paperbook. The previous 1 is marked with numerous paper clips as that is how I marked it for places to study as needed. I just got my copy of the new one and am looking forward to reading and marking it!1 point

yes, Apple just got fined 30 Billion or something ridiculous like that, very recently for the app store situation. Europe has good practices, you are lucky to live there. I think North America might still be the wild west in that respect. I will check out the the FB thing. I just presumed I would be part of the learning for the AI whether I like it or not. Didnt they deal with some issue over being able to use anything we post (photos, layouts etc) to promote FB. I'll try to put much better work on there...🤣, it might be scary what it will learn from me. Either way, I will likely never know if they are actually doing what they say they are doing (reference: the doorbell cam company, which as Rene mentioned in a post was 5 yrs ago....yet it's still front and centre in the techy news and still not yet resolved, nor has the company apologized).1 point

My color group and a fitness person I follow is there and my friend who moved to Scotland posts there, so if I want to see these things I have to go there. I have to log in from my computer as I don't have data on my phone and wifi doesn't work - the phone is old. Neither FB nor instagram appeal to me but I do go on for those few people I follow. I'm trying to be better about posting to FB...after all, my data seems to be the worlds A.I.'s data for learning...let's train them to only love Digital Scrapbooking! 😅1 point

I have read these posts and have found many suggestions, but I have not seen a suggestion of an early question that should be asked. What is your Digital Scrapbook / Page for? How will it be Dislayed? If I were to print a traditional Scrapbook page 12 inches X 12 inches I would need an A2 size printer. My printer is size A4 (letter size USA). Should I make my page to fit my Printer? Am I going to display my page on my computer screen or send it to my Tablet / IPad / Phone ? ( So many different sizes and shapes ) If I am making a Scrapbook (instead of just a page) I could send it for printing and to be made into a book. How about displaying it electronically ? Many of us will have received a copy of Corel FastFlick with our copy of PaintShop Pro Ultimate. Has anyone used this to display their Scrapbook ? I have Scrapbooked a title page for a series of photographs that were made into a video with background music using Fastflicks.1 point

Interestingly, I sent a notification to anyone who has purchased this script, yesterday, to mention the updated version. I suspect many have not received that notification. I have reset the downloads for anyone who had purchased this script before this weekend.1 point

Right off the start, I was able to find nine balloon clues. Then I had to leave it behind. Tried again today to find some more, but I am bleary-eyed with looking. Think I'll just put together what I have and try another time, before the fun expires.1 point

I'm stuck on the last two pieces....I'm going back in for a deep dive now. Cool thing is, I downloaded some stuff that I was wondering about. Now I can read it and get my answers.1 point

Looks like Hook near Basingstoke, England is already there so I guess that is me from before. Quite amazing to see all the contacts and know during the webinars, particularly, that we are connected worldwide. This photo is of a lovely pavement mosaic made of pebbles, in the centre of our village.1 point
