my next 2 pages are finished

Here is my revised September and my remaining month; December. The original photo I was going to use was too wide so this one became the stand in for December. the 3rd photo is the one I couldn't fit. I had wanted a festive vintage movie camera shot for December. I was painting with light. 20-25 second exposures in pitch black and using a very small flashlight to highlight areas. Best with no background but this was on my wall unit so I left it as it and my flashlight is that horrible blue color, but it was fun to to experiment with the technique. I made 4 shots, and used lighten blend mode in the layers. Tomorrow I'll get to the cover. I still have lots to go back and polish in the previous months and text to add and research to do about the camera. (I collect them cause they look cool, not because I want to know about them. Now, I'm getting more interested in getting some knowledge about them....yup, a sign I'm getting old 😔) .

At last, my first attempt. Strangest month ever made for a calendar. Use the echo script and just a lonely tree, because it is still cold in January in the northern hemisphere The original file looks to big in size, was nearly 2 Mb So resized it till about 0,28 Mb

Working on the cover gave me the opportunity to showcase this elephant photo which is one of my favorites. The title font is still Wakanda and the font for the year is Witch Mystery because I thought it looked rather African. I do love African art.

Great workshop. I also attended your calendar making webinar awhile back. Learned alot in both "workshops". Here is my end result for August. The main photo was taken with my drone at the local arboreum in August of this year and the other is looking up at some cabins off of Lake Cumberland in Kentucky several years ago...from a boat.

My offering for the Cold challenge. Warwick Drive-In snowed in in 2017. I used the cass-framed-mask3, my photo and the embellishments and background paper from my Iceland mega kit. It has really come in handy for anything wintery.

Regardless of how cold it must have been, with clear blue skies and sun's rays radiating above, it's an invitation to go outside. The radio sends out wind chill warnings, and extreme cold warnings, stating how long it can take before frost bite sets in. Usually within a minute or so. I frequently sit out with the horses, out of the wind and in the sun. Their coats are toasty warm to the touch. Quite often I will have to open a coat, as there is still a fair amount of heat in the sun, eeven in the dead of winter. At least I get a small dose of vitamin D on my hands face. Our sky is almost always a clear Caribbean blue year round. Unlike Wales, which has an endless cloud ceiling. Which I'm looking forward too in a funny sort of way. I think to much time in one ambience, makes me long for something new. In a way the blank sunny skies has deprived me of the visual diversity that I may crave.

So far, I have created January thru June. The font is Samantha Upright from Creative Fabrica. I use the Vectorstroke script to add the birthstone for each month. The flowers for Jan and Feb are from Creative Fabrica and for March my own photo and bow. I used layer styles to highlight the month. The background is my own which I call glitter streaks. I redid the months using the cass custom calendar script which was just updated. Thank you Carole. All the calendar photos are my own or from family. Jan is a picture of Lake Erie in winter, the second is from my grandson on his way to snowboarding and the third is my picture of Detroit taken from across the river.

Thanks for the heads up on the video. I watched it and it's really good. I think I'll be getting the script, what a time saver for making Calendars.

I purchased the Custom Calendar script, and I can see it will speed up their creation... I think it is genius, and I am curious to see how it is coded. 😉 😄 This morning, I was happy to see that the YouTube video was uploaded: Custom Calendar I know it takes time (there are hundreds of scripts!), but having a video explaining how it works is very helpful.

I use Fontbase. There is a free version which is fully functional. The paid version is $39 a year, which is what I use. It has features that let me sync fonts between my two laptops. The viewer does a good job of giving access to the glyphs.

Already many, many years ago when I was in the Swiss Alps, it was - 20c but when we were at or near the summit of a mountain (by cable car) there was a very strong wind blowing too. There were warnings in place that the wind chill would be -40c and everyone was advised to take shelter in the restaurant and not linger outside! It was a clear day and the views were amazing, but at that point I hadn't a camera with me.

Forgotten if I "reply to topic or start new thread" Apologies if I got it wrong ! What a learning curve this all is. I started the January page and noticed how some of you had changed so many different things on day one or 2two and thought I had to try to do the same! What a disaster, computer nearly going in the bin ! I was then taking care of a friends 6 three week old puppies and the mother dog while they took a short break. Calendars were no longer foremost in my mind but puppy gazing was ! I now realized some of you have done this before. I didn't realize that each day Carole would give us further instructions. I might be 74 but I don't expect my brain to do this to me , what an idiot I was !! So today I have followed each days tutorial to the letter and tried to apply it to January at least . I had no idea that a character map existed or how to do so many of the things in the 7 day tutorial. I changed the colors on some dates to correspond with my Blue Green and Brown refuse bins being emptied .The purple jacket had something on I needed to remove and have already learnt to brush over in the purple and I added a snowflake to detract from a large purple area. Any graphics were from Pixidoodles. Have a nice day everyone

The wind here is a force to be reckoned with, at any time of year. There isn't anything natural to curb it. The cold itself is tolerable, with adequate clothing.

I thought I'd try adding more than one image to a post. I'm still playing a round creating gold decorated frames. The ivy was an ivy green in colour, which I turned to gold. It worked, now I know how to add more than one image.

No, I got them with my ON1 Raw editing program. they are called Two Little Owls - Autumn Whimsy Textures. They are actually presets but they also included JPGs so was able to use them outside that program.

Sue, I haven't yet had a problem with that, but the maximum number of pages I post in a comment is 2. What I do is after clicking "choose files," I choose one page, and after this is uploaded, I choose the other.

I love your use of color. what a good idea to use birthstones and the Vector Stroke. Wait till you get to November, it's a deco-looking frame, do you think?

I posted the months of Jan and Feb from my mammal calendar, because I used the the same templates. Here is the front cover and a little information on each mammal showcased in the calendar. Which is printed on the back of the front cover. My personal choice of preference is to maintain a minimalistic consistent flow throughout my calendars.

I have been doing some additions and revisions and here's what's finished so far:

Yes I have used blendmodes to all the images under the date boxes and for some background gradients too. I have used different ones because different colors needs different blendmodes to get the effect I want. I always check in the layers palette which one I'll choose and very often I reduce the opacity too. I have PSP 2023 and in this version you can scroll along the blendmodes and see on your image what it would look like. For me one of the great assets of this version.

I don't know why, but unlike many I can only ever post one image at a time. Even when keeping within the parameters of the file and page size.

Lesson 6 November I like the feathering technique in this lesson. I added a small photo of the camera closed. It looks rather like a brick, hard to imagine that this is a camera. I will be adding text above it, to fill in the space. Oh boy, not being able to right click and move the selection is a real bummer. I'm just not that precise and I rely on that. I hope that gets sorted out soon. November's template is really nice.

I don't decorate much at all. I put some decorations out at Christmas usually after Thanksgiving. These days I use table top trees since I have no gifts to put under a big tree and I can't handle a large tree by myself anymore. I have 4 table top trees that I keep decorated and when not out, they are covered by a plastic bag and live in the bottom of a closet. One goes in my office, one goes in my living room and the other 2 I alternate putting them on the dining room table. Last year I added an ornament tree with some of the pewter Longaberger ornaments I've had for yours as a decoration in my living room. I never put it away! Also, last year I never took down the tree in my office. That may be the extent of my decorations this year. I had my surgery follow-up this week and the replacement valve has not settled in place like it should have so I haven't been feeling too great lately. I'm having a test on the 27th to see what can be done. Once that is done, I wait until the cardiac structural team has a meeting about their cases to discuss what treatment is indicated. No idea when that meeting will be so it could very well be that anything will get done before the holidays so I probably won't be able to put anything else out unless I get someone to come get the stuff off the shelves of the closet for me.

Hello Carole and members, I'm still very happy about winning Diamond membership and I'm really interested in PSP and participating here in the forum, but age is taking its toll. My husband (hemiparetic for 20 years, but no need for nursing care) and I have been having increasing health problems for a year. We now increasingly have various appointments away from home and, due to various health policy challenges, we also experience frustration and therefore a need for rest. At the moment I want to concentrate on my course and learning PSP, which I love and a welcome distraction. I read along in the forum, but I don't feel like joining in the discussion. Once I've completed the courses and a few lessons and our appointments have been completed and "suffered", then I can get involved in the forum a little more. So it's not a lack of interest, but simply a lack of time and concentration at the moment. Anyone who would like is welcome to pray for us. Thank you. Doska
