I actually like taking pictures of the moon when they are clouds or trees partially obscuring it. My absolute favorite picture I took was maybe 15 years ago. I was attending a camera club meeting at my church (we talked and learned about all things from usage of the camera to setting scenes for taking photos). When we came out it was a Harvest Moon in the sky with a cloud cover. I stood with my back against my vehicle to be as still as possible (didn't have my tripod which is highly recommended for night photos). I held my arms very close to my body and took several photos. One of them is absolutely amazing. I ended up having it printed as an 8x10 and put into a larger frame with matting. It was displayed in the church along with other photos from members of the camera club for awhile. It now hangs in my living room. I love the spooky feel of it!

I also did this layout of the photo.

That is a nice one, I bet you did a little Happy Dance when you came out and saw that moon just begging to be photographed.   I added another pic after seeing this.

  2. Here is a picture of my Foxy girl.  My desk chair is about 12" from that harry tail. I happened to have my camera on my desk and for once she didn't move before I got the picture.  This is one of her favorite spots when I am playing on my Computer.  (the harry beast comment is because she sheds like crazy all the time LOL)

Anne nice picture of the moon; you must live in an area without light contamination!  I wish could take such a picture but the few times I was in such a place with a full moon, there were clouds!

Thank You.  I live in town and there are street lights etc. in fact there is one not thirty feet east of my porch where I took the picks from.  Luckily the moon was pretty much due south of my house and there is a tree just west of that light that cuts down on the glare.  I just got lucky with the direction and height of the moon that night, and a beautiful clear not hazy evening. Well actually about 1AM,

Hi Anne.  I had difficultly with that too.  Go to User Interface at the top of the screen above the tool bar.  Click on that and you will get various options you can alter, including font size, text size, and node sizes.  Mine is now set to large.  Shame there's no Extra Large!!  Hahaha

Thank you so much, now if i get time I will go back and try all if them.  It makes all the difference when you know WHERE to look for something.

  5. I am way behind in this challenge for various reasons.  One thing I can't figure out is how to increase the size of the size of the NODES so I can wee them better. I know Cassel said how to do it, but I can't figure out how to access the place to do that.  It is probably one of those DUH things, but I just can't get my head around it. Without doing this I get frustrated every tome I try to do anything. My eyes aren't as good as they used to be and my screen is not very large.

  6. I made this for the challenge on PSP  Maniacs . This week it is the letter Y.  I have no idea what the flower is, I took the photo a couple of days ago at my Church.   PS starting tomorrow I think one of the $1 downloads on CreativeFabrica is the ASL alphabet font that I intend to download this week.

Oh, me, too, Anne. I also, was horse crazy, though Black Beauty upset me. I was a big fan of The Black Stallion series. I wish I still had the books. I can still recite the first line as I must have read it 20 times... "The tramp steamer Drake ploughed through the heavy seas..."

Actually the Black Stallion series was my favorite too (there were quite a few of them).  I know what you mean by Black Beauty being upsetting, but that was the one she showed me that got me started.

Thanks everyone for the upvotes and comments.  I decided the frame was too overpowering and now have it as my P C background minus the border and I like it better for that purpose.

    We called it Bridal Spirea

I should have know what it was.  We call it a Bridal Wreath too.  The pic was fro a couple of years ago and at that angle it didn't click what it was.  I have been taking pictures of those bushes for years, but not usually from that angle.  Just a senior moment I guess.  LOL

  10. It is so frustrating when I appear to be signed in but when I try to make a comment or even just upvote something it says I am not signed in. When I go to the sign in page it shows me as signed in. Even if I don't do anything and go back to the topic I was trying to upvote it lets me do it with no problem.  I have cleared my caches and everything else I can think of.  GRRR. What else can I do.  Sometimes when it does this I don't even bother to try to make the comment or upvote. I have had this problem for quite a while but it seems to be getting worse.

  11. I live in a good old neighborhood. A few years ago we are pretty sure a house a few doors down was being used to sell drugs but nothing bad ever happened.  There is no way anyone would have as many short time visitors as there was there.  I know it was reported to the police and the visits finally stopped so I guess they had a little "talk" with the owner.

  12. Here is my day 7 made with the Diamond template.  I food items are from C F "Barbecue-Cookout-SVG-Clip-Art-69956312"  The red white blue ribbon is cass-Bow16-Sample-Blue-White-Red-Ribbonfrom Cassel.  The eyelet  is from cass-Eyelet2-sample   The font is Freestyle Script.  The blue sky with cloud  top  paper if form a photo I took a couple of years ago. I had fun with this one, but can't say I had fun trying to do the envelope, but I finally got it done, hopefully right.  I suspect I will never use either one though, but I at least wrote down the instructions on how to make one.

@Jeni Simpson That is such a lovely card. I think it is the first one I have seen in this workshop on that theme. It is a great idea to create postcards instead of greeting cards. You can use the same templates!

@kasany That is so interesting to have an out-of-bound image instead of a clipart!

@Harmony Birch That card makes me smile. I think I will contact CF to point them to this thread as so many of their graphics are showcased in these beautiful cards. For your snowman card, there is a lot of blue tint. Have you considered using a color adjustment like Grey World? It is not available by default in recent PSP versions but you can retrieve it easily. Check this article (about halfway down).

@Michele Those balloons are so simple yet make a great composition.

@Doska St. What PSP version is giving you those issues?

@Randy That is a great way to use other tools and effects.

@Corrie Kinkel I love how you used the "bee" instead of "be". It is perfectly suited to the theme.

@Sue Thomas With all those nature events, you will be quite busy! 😉

@Gerry Landreth Great text on path technique!

@Minka Glasier Such a fun and colorful card!

@Ann Seeber I bet you can stay busy all year with all those birthdays!

@carol Woudema Those milestones really deserve to be celebrated!

@Anne Lamp Did you use the card template or a different one? Strangely, it matches exactly one template from the Template workshop.

@Sharla That bunny certainly looks happy. A great card to keep for next year.

@Louyse Toupin That is a fun and colorful composition! Next, we want a picture of YOU on your scooter! 🙂

@Anja Pelzer Good to see you catch up. On your second card, may I suggest you add a little 3D effect on the ribbon? It is the only element without bevel or shadow.

@Sheila Hogg If you had not mentioned that you used a font for that edge, I would not have guessed it. Great job!

@Bonnie Borntrager You have to be careful in resizing the images to fit a template. If you change the proportions, it will squish the image. Check this article about resizing.

Tomorrow is the last template and the last tutorial of the workshop. Don't worry, the tutorials will stay available until next weekend so if you had some time issues, you will have several days to catch up.

"Did you use the card template or a different one? Strangely, it matches exactly one template from the Template workshop". I have no idea how I wound up there.  When I went back to where I downloaded the page and the templates, Yep that is what they were.  Oh well I did have fun with it and have now downloaded the correct one.

I had years worth of screenshots to choose from.  I even have some that are totally goofy too.

  15. Mt day 6 card.  The background is a paper from (Beautiful-Intense-Iridescent-Gradients-18728752)  the font is Fine Hand.  All the elements are ones I have created over the years from screenshot from an Osprey nest I have been watching for a long time.  I went with this background because I thought it looked a little like water and Osprey eat only fish for the most part.

I actually like the muted look of this.  Just because it doesn't show up well in the reduced size, if you like the way it looks full size, I wouldn't change it.

  17. My day 4 card. The background (not the stripes) and the oval were made with a  kaleidoscope image I made from an American flag. The striped stuff was made using the red white blue striped square I made a few days ago. The text is Tattoo Studio.  OOPS I see I forgot to link the text and shadow when I moved the text over a little.  Oh well I can always fix that. I did.
