  1. I can't remember how to add this to the file menu  I have been trying to get used to using 2023. I know you showed us how to do it before, but I cant find that info.  I do have it in my Scripts trusted in psp23 and can use it from there.

  2. Lesson 6. The photo was taken yesterday in front of my house.  What a beautiful sunset after getting 5 inches of snow that day.  I did the background and then had a copy of the original photo behind it and lowered the opacity just a little to let a hint of the other one show through.

    Day 2

I really like what the background has done.

    It looks really nice.

Thank you, Carole, for the turorial..

The Dog images are from Creative Fabrica.

That plaid turned out great, and I agree it really sets off this page.

  4. My day 5. I did something different.  I used a heart brush set to white on the mask and also star shaped brush.  I then used the same heart brush set to white on a new layer and put it behind the mask group to make it show up better because it was on the dark background.  The moon pick is mine.  The background paper was created from a screenshot taken on an Explore.com live cam. It is so much fun to play play play.

This one depicts random thoughts. If it needed a title, it would be My Mother's Day.

Years ago, I started calling my mother on my birthday to thank her for being my mother. I called it My Mother's Day. When I moved back to Alabama to be with her, I would take her to dinner to celebrate (usually at a restaurant that gave a free dessert for my birthday!)

This will be the first birthday without her. I may still go to a restaurant. After all, she wouldn't want me to miss out on a free dessert!

The mask for my mother was made using a watercolor brush from Rikard Rodin. The raggedy edges and the gold from were made using Picture Frame in PSP.

Lovely tribute to your Mother. She was a lovely lady.  What you said about calling her on Mothere's day made me think about my Mother.  My Oldest Sister would call her on her (my sister's) birthday and wish Mom a happy Mothers day.  The first time Mom was confused and said it wasn't Mothers Day, and my Sis said well it was the first day you were a Mother.  Sis did that for years.

  6.  my Day 4   The photo was from the Black Sands Beach area on Hawaii Big Island.  The background paper was adjusted from   "Ocean-Water-Background-Digital-Paper-27720793 10 "

I have no idea where that was downloaded from years ago.

  7. Day 2  I gave up trying to make the plaid  paper and adapted one I already had. I was looking for the "custom selection" command in the wrong place.   GRRR!  I will try again to make the plaid for something else.

A mature female  Snowy Owl dropped in yesterday, whilst I was out back in the trees filling the bird feeders.  It's quite unusual to see them  perched in trees.  They are either on telegraph poles, fence posts or on the ground.

I must say that I'm overwhelming impressed with all the  creativity being posted.  Such diversity.  Well done to you all.

What a gorgeous photo of that magnificent bird and perfectly presented without adding a bunch of things to distract from the bird.

Anne did you make a typo with comon or is this a normal word for a type of pinecone? Sometimes I encounter here words that I have never heard of, so I'm not sure...

OOPS.  All that work and I forgot one M.  Thanks for pointing it out.  I am bad as spelling but this one was just a typo.

  10. I have trouble with it saying I am logged in at the top of the page, but it won't let me post until I go to the sign in page, (that does say I am signed in) and back to where I wanted to comment.  I will try the refreshing the page next time to see if that works for me too..   PS  It just did it again when trying to post this and the refresh page worked.

Fiona, I fully understand that particular difficulty; I had the same problem but I solved it quite easily. I rewatched the video and halted it at the point where we got to those floating layers step. Used play and stop for the video and simply wrote down on very "old-fashioned paper" the steps and never had this problem again. For a while I needed my cheat sheet but now I now it by heart.

I went one step farther,  I did screenshots of each step and put them in order on a letter size paper and saved it to my desktop and printed it too.

  12. I just signed in. I did get a better idea about working with masks from the template workshop 2024 so I am looking forward to trying this one again. I have never been much of as mask user (partly because I always had trouble with them for some reason) but if I finally get it to stay in my head this time, I will probably use them more.

  13. I have a gas stove so the broiler is on the bottom. It came with a broiler pan with two layers a slotted one and a drip pan under it.  I make sure after I have put the steaks on a plate to take the pan to the sink and use the sprayer to rinse the " good stuff " off the top into the pan below.  Then I empty the  water with all those good seasonings into a pot to make some  Au Jus to use with the steaks or put away for later.  I guess because the steaks are pretty lean there isn't a lot of fat in it.  Of course with today's prices I don't do many steaks anymore.

  14. This was one of the dingbats in today 2/26/24 free font on Creative Fabrica. "  House-Plants-29702631"   I used one of them  and put it on a wood background and did the cut out the way Cassel showed us how to do in the recent workshop.  I thought it turned out pretty so I am posting  it.
