Notes on Template 1 exercise I recently showed my wife the flower (actually, it was on my desktop after downloading, and she noticed it) and she liked it, so with Valentine's Day on the horizon, I decided to try to incorporate it into the workshop. 1. Radagund font available at https://www.dafont.com/radagund.font 2. Flower was from Creative Fabrica. 3. I wanted a red background for the flower so just did the selection and filled with red, then used the flower on top of that. As I sized the image down, I ended up with parts of the flowers extending beyond the circle and liked that so left it that way. 4. I wanted the hearts on the paper on the left to be red so I used the color changer tool. 5. I also wanted the lines in the layer over the top of the background layer to be red so I used the color changer tool to do that also. 6. Since the red circle and the flower were both separate layers, I added a drop shadow for each.7 points

Lab 11 Mod 10. Requirements: argyle pattern: background paper; triple spiral: doubled it in the lower right corner and single one in upper right corner; slide frame: the 6 photos are displayed in the frames. I used the layout template (modified) from the module. the title font is Lionteen (I'm pretty sure it came from Creative Fabrica). Strange thing again in working with this layout: I tried to duplicate the "Houghton, MI" and put it on each of the frames, but it wouldn't work - I got a blank each time I tried to copy it and move the copy to the next frame, so I had to do a vector for each of the frames on the top and the bottom. Couldn't figure what went wrong.5 points

Ahead of the workshop starting today, I am trying to finish Lab 11 Mod 10. One of the requirements is to make a triple spiral and accordiing to the tutorial you are to get a spiral from Livi Fictions. I couldn't find it on the web, so I tried my hand at drawing a spiral and working with that (but not with the vector spiral script). I later found one (spiral) at pixel scrapper and began with that. I'll show you the first (my feeble attempt at the triple spiral working with my handdrawn one) and then the one I managed to do as the directions say with the Vector Spiral script (you have to have something open so I opened the spiral I had downloaded from pixel scrapper). I saved the wonky one in my Halloween kit folder.5 points

Week Three, and my little Tuxie girl, Eve, is dominating my thoughts. She has had what the vet eye specialist calls a corneal ulcer (or possible Feline Herpes Virus-1) since November. My daughter and I have had to drive her an hour away to the vet hospital in Brewster, NY twice now and another time next week. Keeping my fingers crossed that he will see healing when we go on the 23rd. He says she can see all right.4 points

One of my favorite topics is my beautiful niece, Mikayla, and her finance, Joey. She has graciously shared her photos, including her wedding dress which I will not use. I made the heart background using one of my shimmer papers, the ellipse background was made with gmic filter and the rectangle from a FF linen seamless pattern. I lowered the opacity on the dots. The font is Morning Love from Creative Fabrica.3 points

I'm really not happy with this layout, but it is what it is! Lab 11 Mod 9: requirements: water droplet (2 on the ground); cloud (made 3 and they are shown); umbrella - had fun with this. In addition to the water droplet, I used the tutorial for the droplet to make water drops and made a pattern of scattered raindrops (water drops) and then an overlay for a 12X12 paper. I used the overlay on the background paper and scattered the water drops coming down from the clouds; and put a water drop in each of the droplets. I also made a "Puddle" which is what the boy in the silhouette is standing in. Don't remember what the font name is.2 points

Oh Ann, my heart weeps for you. I do hope you get positive results at the vet next week. It's so stressful when our fur-babies are unwell. Take care.1 point

I like you hand drawn one too. It's rustic and authentic.1 point

Q = Quadratus Lumborum (QL's) This muscles attach on the back side (posterior) of you, bottom 4 ribs to the pelvis. They are work-a-holics and will take over if your core isn't doing work (ie. no being engaged when it should be). Often the culprit of sore low back problems. I banged one side so hard once that one side got twisted in the fascia (called QL syndrome) and caused all kinds of havoc for 3 months until my massage therapist was able to get it untwisted.1 point

stand with arms at sides, feet together. Jump up and land with arms straight out to the side and feet wide, jump up again, and return to start. Repeat with a faster cadence, constantly moving. I looks like you are making snow angels, but standing up. You see people in the military doing that.1 point

The same here just on the other side of the border, but it is nice to be able to enjoy it however short it was!1 point

Such tiny details, but they can make such a difference. The uppercase works better for this layout.1 point

Mary, this is a delightful layout! The only thing I would change is to make the title all in caps. Perhaps using Mona Home from the Font Challenge would work, also.1 point

A visit to Sweet Frog Frozen Yogurt turned out to be a special event...sponstaneously. Sometimes those times turn out to be the most fun. Template 311 by Chantahalia Designs.1 point

Hello everyone, here I'm showing another tutorial from the campus blog, namely the snow globe. This was a good inspiration after I was looking for a motif for the birthday card of my young nephew, whose birthday is coming up. It is created in the size of mobile phones, which can be made horizontally or lengthwise. The birthday child can also use it as a background for the home or lock screen. It is often called a CHALLENGE, but it should not be a STRUGGLE. I have seen this interpreted in many different ways, and honestly, what if you skip photos even for a few weeks? Unless you are tracking something super specific (ex: weight loss using a particular program, the growth of your flower garden), who would know that you took that picture this week or that week? I am actually planning on joining this and showing Markus in different settings around me, throughout the year. 🙂1 point
