  1. Created the polka dot paper using a pattern I made (I'm sure I learned it from Cassel). The yellow stripes were simply rectangular selection on different layers flood-filled with the color from the original illustration by Bahar. The font is Morebig Sans found through the Free Design Resources newsletter. Lately I've been using drop shadows with zero blur to give my text a little more depth (don't know if that's the right word.).

  3. Buddy showed up one day, under nourished and looking for a home. He instantly became a part of the family. He enjoyed "hanging ten" and surveying his vast estate. He also spent a lot of time in my lap. He loved his new wonderful life for years. He developed cancer and you know the rest. Buddy was my buddy. RIP Buddy.

  4. I got started really late for this daily pic so I relied on my scrapbooking supplies. Found this gorgeous photo on Unsplash which is a wonderful resource; the photographer is Lane Jackman. I used a paper from the ALFLT Jan 2021 Blog Train for the background and another one to make the ribbons. The flower was also in the blog train. The layout was inspired by one of Marisa Lerin's templates from Digital Scrapbook, formerly Pixel Scrapper. The font is Sugarstyle Millenial free from dafont.

  5. I wasn't sure which way I wanted to go with Project 2. First I was thinking about using a dog picture again but then I figured I'd use a picture of me riding my motorcycle out of a covered bridge but I'm going to save that for a different project. So I settled on this. Every October, there is a motorcycle ride to raise money for a local cancer center. This year there were more than 800 motorcycles taking part. Folks dress up in pink (even though it's for all forms of cancer, they've adopted the color pink since the ride is in October) and there is a big party/luncheon afterwards. This is the view from my windshield (GoPro was mounted there).

  11. Dear Cindy Harris. I love both of your sandwiches. How neat you took the top piece of bread off so we could see that you put mayo and mustard on your sandwich - AND I can see it on yo ur knife. WOW!!! How thoughtful to put extra meat on the side plate for your puppy! And I, too, like that plaid that you used for your tablecloth. As the captain said (on Galaxy Quest) NEVER GIVE UP. NEVER GIVE UP. Anyway - with the Lord at your side, you'll always be able to get up!!!

  17. Susan, I haven't had a chance to ask Lucy about the horses. I will when they return to California. It is her poem and all the photos. Looking more closely at the photo, I see posts and wire fencing so I'm sure they're not free-roaming.

  18. LOVE the poem, Ann! Beautiful sunset and beach. Are the horses just walking around where ever they please? Are they wild or tame? Alberta has a wild horse population. One of my favorite photographers, Rick Price, shoots them (with a camera!). His work is stunning and the wild horses are really skookum, not skinny like I've seen in other wild horse populations. You can find his picts on Flickr...he is Rick Price (RED DEER). There are a number of Rick Prices on there so make sure it's red deer. He has really incredible shots of bears and other animals too.

  19. Day 5 - Project 2 - Magic on the Beach in Costa Rica. My California family is there as we speak, and Magic's mother, Lucy, sent all the photos used on this layout. The frame for the photo is a PSP frame called Transparent; the title font is Hello Butterfly with an inner bevel #7; the text on the right is done in Kleymissky font. The flower embellishment is from my Just Beachy kit by Lin Jane. The toucan is from the eyeinspire fruitloops kit. Lucy included a little poem with the photos she posted. 24. Like mother, like daughter. The main font is Nonplussed and the handwriting font is Annisa, both from Creative Fabrica. The background and drawings are from Pixabay. The papers are by Marisa Lerin from Digital Scrapbook. Anytime I can use SpongeBob SquarePants lyrics in context is a good day.

  28. Hi Tonimarie - glad you could join us. If I had to choose, I'd pick the layout with the button. Zackary sure is a cutie! ?

  29. @Gerry LandrethSuch cuties. You did a great job with the lifted shadow on the butterfly. @Ann Seeber Calling the snail "Rumba" is so cute!!! @Mary Solaas You did a great job on the cluster!!! @GabrielaAre those your dogs? Can you share what kit/supplies you used for your project? @Linda J WalkerScript text often should look like writing on a paper and that commonly has no shadow, so you made a wide decision. Get ready as you will have your second project tutorial tomorrow! And if you have not posted your first one, it is not too late!

  33. Project 1. I used the Frosty Fall kit. The drop shadow on the script text looked odd, so I didn't add it.

  34. Project 1. I made the cluster with the elements in the fall kit from PS cpJess frosty fall mini kit offered for this project. Since I decided not to use fall colors in the mini kit, I colorized the fall leaf scatter provided by Cassel with the hue/saturatiion/lightness to green. the gold flower is from the kit also. In making the cluster which I saved as a pspimage, I made shadows on the individual elements - thanks for that tip, Carole - not sure where you mentioned it, but I remembered it.

  36. Here is my Day 3 Homework - this is my newest tropical fish. With Bettas (Siamese Fighting Fish) you can only do one per aquarium, otherwise they fight to the death. I have one small (5 gal) tank and he has a snail as a tankmate. The snail's name is Roomba. My photo for the background, colorized. It's so busy I didn't want to add much embellishment.

  39. I created this starting with one of the papers from Pixelscrapers freebee today (Watercolor-Time-Travel-Backgrounds-51580778) and cut out the center of the clock and added a background from Fire-in-Wonderland-Backgrounds-54289383 (also from creativefabrica but not a freebee) & I added swirls to it.

  40. I love to decorate a table. As you can see, I've done this before a few times. The tablecloth is a paper by Jessica Dunn of Pixelscrappers. I like to keep my pickles separate from my sandwich, unless it's a hamburger.

  41. I'm really happy with my creation for the DIY Challenge so I thought I"d post it in here too, so more could see it. It's my grandson, Will, and his wife and daughter, Magic, on the Mendocino headlands. My daughter, Debbie, took the photos. Aside from the ones with my family, the background is a composite of 2 photos taken at the time of the flowers on the headlands and one of the cliffs and the sea. Scallops were used liberally. ?
