In a previous article, we looked at the most common types of elements one can find in a scrapbook kit, including papers, embellishments, alphas and wordart. Most kits will include those 4 types of elements but some designers will also include other content in their kits.

Scrapbooking Theme – Camping
Camping is an activity enjoyed by many people around the world. It’s not only good for our physical health but also our mental and emotional well-being! It’s a great stress reliever and we mostly do it to escape a very mundane life filled with work and responsibilities.
One of the best things with camping is the food. Yes, eating great food is possible at camp! Communal cooking is also a great opportunity to spend time with your friends and family as you enjoy the great outdoors.
Camping can also be done solo. Just make sure you’ve left the information on your whereabouts with someone you trust. It gives you the chance to wind down and get away from the hustle and bustle.
This activity also brings us closer to nature and teaches us appreciation and humility as we coexist with the environment.
Do you like camping? This fun theme can bring life to our designs. There’s just so much you can do at camp!
10 minutes to scrap – Photo fixes
If you followed the previous tutorial suggesting that you group the elements in a single-layered file before starting to actually create your scrapbook, you are wondering what is the next step. As mentioned initially, the goal of these "10 minutes" tasks is to allow you to work while you have no time to complete a whole project or to batch the process for several projects at once. Today, we'll work on the photos only.
Theme – Teddy Bear/Plushie
Stuffed toys, such as teddy bears and other plushies, are often our very first friends. Children love these cuddly toys. However, some grown-ups are still pretty attached to their plushies, those that have grown with them from their toddler years to adulting.
They are often gifts from the people we love, and teach us many things, from compassion to friendship to love and affection... Though the teddy bears may have been reduced to a lump of stuffing today, they still bring feelings of warmth, security, and comfort. All that said, we dedicate this month’s blog post to these stuffed wonders.
What is in a scrapbooking kit?
If you are new to digital scrapbooking, you might have some questions about the supplies that you can purchase, download or create. Let's have an overview of what is a scrapbooking kit.
Scrapbooking Theme – Books
I love this quote from Charles W. Eliot:
Books are the quietest and most constant of friends; they are the most accessible and wisest of counselors, and the most patient of teachers.
Indeed, books are all that and more!
Theme – House
Did you move a lot? Or did you stay at one house till you moved out? What is your dream house?
While a house is just a building and the people living in it have the power to make it into a home, all of us have an idea of our dream house would be like. You may want it modern, rustic, tropical, or even Mediterranean-inspired.
How to use spiral binding
In the fall, we have a lot of back to school theme projects. Notebooks could be part of those projects. Adding a spiral binding to a notebook to showcase a photo or artwork could give a unique effect. Let's see how to achieve a realistic look.
Theme – Grandparents
I bet you would! Some of your best childhood memories were those spent with grandpa and grandma and the times they spoiled you rotten with gifts, love, and attention. And those moments are great ideas for scrapbook pages.
Below are several layouts you can take inspiration from!
Theme – Circus
The circus holds a magic that most of us hold dear, especially when we were kids. The clowns, the acrobats, the animal acts, the contortionists, the dancers, the stunts, and even the ringmaster - are a delight to see under the big top!
There’s definitely something for everyone. Which act was your favorite?
