Back to the Labs. Lab 14 mod 4. Requirements: pawprint paper using the bubbles to make large and small paw prints colored in many colors - background (the background paper for the pics I made also using a different technique); paper text: the side bar: "a dog's life". The title font is Adventure Island Script.5 points

I'm not one for using patterned papers in my layouts. Saying that like everything else they are fun to create. I used the right hand vertical row. Decorated alfa, Filled alfa, simple blocking, swirl pattern and Photo cutout 2. Oh Jannette, that is a shame, surely there is a row, or diagonal that you can have a go at. There are tutorials for them, to help you. We are here to help should you need any assiastance. As Carole states you can also use ready made elements.5 points

I found a new to me group on FB, Creative Scrapbooker Magazine's Sketchy Group. They offer a sketch each month. I used the April sketch and flipped it to create a double page.4 points

Well, I don’t deserve the laurels, Julie. ☹😄 It wasn't me who extracted the subject. I started to do it, but I didn't want to take the time to do it properly, so I just exported Ally’s .afphoto file as a PNG. This is one thing I prefer to do in PSE.3 points

Bonnie, this template is perfect for showcasing all tournament participants. It’s a beautiful layout for keeping the memories of these moments.3 points

Corrie, I’m sure the lady will be very happy to receive the photobook. Small gestures of appreciation go a long way.3 points

Me too and I noticed on the last couple of pages she showed here that she said she wasn't happy with what she had created lately. To me she sounded a bit down and I hope she will come back as soon as she is ready. Hopefully she is checking in to see what we are up to and read this and knows we miss her!3 points

Once in a while, it happens to all of us, Julie. I'm happy you are back. 🙂2 points

I love using masks (which gave me so much trouble in the beginning!) but I no longer have Affinity. I purchased PSE 2024 while I could still grab it. I will use that, or rely on good old PSP.2 points

So cool your husband made it. Ya, we are waning in our desire to build things or even do any more reno stuff. I will pretend I never saw the clue to 'T'. I wish the alphabet had L before k because it would have been better for me next letter (L) as it kind of goes with K. My PSP is acting up and I cant move my text. I try and move it but it snaps right back to where it was. this happened once before, but I never knew why it happened. I'll wait until tomorrow to finish it. It's almost midnight here and I get up at 5am. why do I do this to myself, I got totally lost in creating and looked at the time just now and was pretty shocked.2 points

My hubby made it, originally I had my collection of mini turtles in it, now those share the space with the houses. We have it for at least 20 years now and took it with us when we moved house. In those days my husband was fit and loved to make things like that. Oops now you know what my letter T will feature.......2 points

Very nice Bonnie and such a layout can easily be made into a double page as you have shown here. Sound like an interesting group, and it made me wish for more time to do all the things I like.2 points

That's really neat Bonnie, love the idea of the double page and this kind of layout works so well for a large group. And glad to see you back. Now we must put an alert out for Julie M.2 points

Thank you Jeni and Cristina, I'll have a look as soon as I have finished making a photobook as a thank you gift from the swimming group I'm in. The lady who manages the coffee/tea and lesson's fee at the pool is leaving and we had a buffet made by one of our members. My attribution was taking the photos and now I'm making an album. So busy doing that and getting it printed as soon as possible.2 points

Since the Vector Workshop, I’ve been watching and practicing a few video tutorials for PSE and Affinity. I wish I had more time to experiment with the programs and create something in PSP, but that isn’t possible right now. This is my attempt to replicate the Affinity Revolution's CRAZY Perspective Bending Composite! Affinity Photo Tutorial. It uses the Perspective Filter. Yesterday was my first attempt, and it was successful. However, when I tried reopening the .afphoto file, the app crashed. Yeah, this also happens in Affinity. 😊 Today, I tried again, and it crashed while I was adding a shadow. After another attempt, starting from scratch, I managed to complete it without any issues.2 points

I have been on a kick playing with making a silhouette from some of my pictures. Here is one of them and how I used it on a picture from probably creative fabrica. (Green-meadow-and-castle-9407905 DSC_2705) If I was going to use it somewhere else I think I would call it "looking at the castle from the dead forest.2 points

We just returned from a mini vacation to visit my daughter and her husband in Fredericksburg, VA. There are "Love" signs in many of the sites that we toured. The barrel and the fish are from Adobe Express. The Virginia map is from a font and filled with a texture from FF. I missed the Affinity Vector workshop and plan to complete it soon.2 points

Another workshop will soon start. Are you in? It will start on June 16th. This workshop is FREE for everyone, so spread the word. This workshop is meant to be for those with some experience with PaintShop Pro or Affinity Photo. If you are brand new to using the programs, it will be a little more challenging, although we are here to help you if you still want to participate. Did you find this thread before the registration page? Here it is. (and yes, it is the same series of tutorials, but I'll try to find more supplies for the DIAMOND members)1 point

I love them too and I use them very frequently since I learned how to use/make them. It is my number one skill I learned here in the campus!1 point

I love masks too, Julie. I remember when I joined the Campus; I had no idea how to create them, and I was so happy once I learned how to do it.1 point

That's even better, that they are small. I love small detailed stuff, they are easier to display and photograph. I just photographed my K and L, hopefully they work. They are small objects too. I like your shelf for displaying them. Did you have it made?1 point

Thank you for clarifying this and no apologies needed. I know Jannette has limited English and uses a translation app and I find it fantastic she joins us in that way. However I have noticed on many occasions it causes confusion for her or for us and that is probably the case here.1 point

They are rather small. The tiniest we have is: width 5cm, length 4cm and the height 10,5cm and the biggest is: w 11cm, l 8cm and h 10,5cm. I know there are bigger ones but they aren't massive. Those Christmas villages tend to be bigger. I love those as well but we simply don't have the space to make such a village and I find them very expensive, at least for what I want to spend. Most people collect them over many years and I don't think I will have that many years ahead of me! 🤔1 point

I love those houses. Arent they just a joy to look at all the details. I also love looking at the Christmas villages people display. How big are these houses?1 point

The 7th and last of the Vector Workshop for PSP. The knife tool is a very interesting tool. I believe it is used for the making of paper clips also. I'm sure there are several other uses to use that tool for. I tried it on the heart I made to turn it into a "bleeding heart flower", but I failed. I'll post this in the q&a thread. Anyway, I finished with the partial circle and the partial text. The text I used was Adventure Island Script. The gradient background I made with pink and green from my Spring Kit colors.1 point

"I'm sorry you're having tech problems..." It shows, Michele, that it can happen with any app. 🙂 Both images are free to download; the link is provided in the YouTube video description. The picture I posted was just the girl who was selected from the image below. I'm not sure why the crashes happened. It could have been because the "Model. afphoto" file was created in a previous version (a warning is displayed about it). But I made a copy of it and saved it in the newer version. Working with the Perspective Filter is tricky, too. In the end, I saved a PNG file, which I then used.1 point

My Wildlife Calendar for June 2025 features the Black-footed Cat, one of nature's fiercest felines and also the smallest. The black is only on the pads of their feet. My source is How Stuff Works.com The fonts are Aviation Cocktail and Arial. The background paper is a cutting board pattern from Elif Sahin. The template is from the Campus Calendar Workshop last October. The small journaling says: "The deadliest cat on Earth is also one of the smallest. It earns this title by having a hunting success rate of 60%, the highest of all cat species. They eat between eight and 14 meals every evening, and just one of the felines can devour upwards of 3,000 rodents per year." I also posted the full size version for printing in the Files section of our Facebook group.1 point
