The following week after the snowstorm, we had torrential rains and flooding. (Luckily, not near my home.) This is a shot of the river at the Mid-Hudson Bridge near Poughkeepsie, NY., taken by Deedee Lumb on 1/10/24 and posted on our Hudson Valley in Pictures Gallery on Facebook. She said: "Come sit for a spell, enjoy the river views." 😉8 points

I'm really not happy with this layout, but it is what it is! Lab 11 Mod 9: requirements: water droplet (2 on the ground); cloud (made 3 and they are shown); umbrella - had fun with this. In addition to the water droplet, I used the tutorial for the droplet to make water drops and made a pattern of scattered raindrops (water drops) and then an overlay for a 12X12 paper. I used the overlay on the background paper and scattered the water drops coming down from the clouds; and put a water drop in each of the droplets. I also made a "Puddle" which is what the boy in the silhouette is standing in. Don't remember what the font name is.6 points

Such tiny details, but they can make such a difference. The uppercase works better for this layout.3 points

Lab 13 - 03 I used the template : link in the notebook. Made the Wooden token and Decorated metal charm tutorial. The digit beads were made with the cass-Alpha-beads script. The other elements come from pixel-scrapper-blog-trains/feb-2017-blog-train-final-list: themagnoliapatch.blogspot.com WinterFun-addon. Own photos, January 2009, Belgium, Waterloo. A walk with my first Scottish Collie Enzo. I'm not entirely happy with the metal charms I made, I think it doesn't look that metallic.2 points

Not much of the font in this layout. I wanted to do a simple layout similar to one I saw online somewhere, and I didn't know which photo to use. Ended up with this old one (from 1930s) of my mother (tall one) and her sister and two brothers. Not a good image of them, but it's what I've got and I didn't want to improve it. They're all gone now, but they stay close to my memory and heart. Three of them lived into their 90s (not my mother).1 point

Mary, that is a beautiful plant and I really like the way the sun is bringing out the different colours. It's lovely.1 point

Mary, this is a delightful layout! The only thing I would change is to make the title all in caps. Perhaps using Mona Home from the Font Challenge would work, also.1 point

Thank you, Susan. She does love her ice cream. Not so much frozen yogurt; however, this night, she was happy as could be to get her ice cream!1 point

That's okay, me too! It was a "workout" just typing this out (why didn't I use "workout" for "W"?). 🤣1 point

I’m in. I’ve created my own template – really simple frame and some text. I’m not having a specific theme other than I’m going to using a photo I’ve taken that week. On the first of Jan we had a compete rainbow. I wasn’t quick enough getting outside to catch it so I only have one side of it but it makes a nice memory.1 point

Week 1. Poncho received an orthopedic dog bed for his Christmas 🌲. He never wanted to lie on anything other than the floor, but this bed was adopted from day one. At the beginning of last year he had problems with the left biceps tendon (shoulder), and had to undergo surgery for this, he was under anesthesia 4 times. We were very worried because collies are very sensitive to many medications. He has now recovered well, and his coat has grown back nicely, but is not allowed to jump, do stairs, etc1 point

I love the simplicity of this one. I appreciate how you took the complexity of the original template and changed it so the bride was the star.1 point

My contribution for this font challenge. I used the Mona Home font for the title of the poem and the font for the poem itself is Aura also a thin monoline font. Thanks to the extremely mild weather we have had the snowdrops are already in flower. My son showed me a photo of it from his garden, but for this layout I used one I took some years ago because it was better suited, no clutter in the background! The drawing of the fairy comes from DigitalScrapbook.com and I had it for some time in my stash together with the poem. I have taken the liberty to alter the poem a tiny bit. In the poem was written the Fair Maid of February and I changed that to January. I think that's ok I'm not going to sell or publish this layout other than here and maybe in our facebook group.1 point

My hairdresser's daughter was recently married. I've made several pages...this is the first one ready to be posted. Template is Carole's Multiphoto Frame 3 freebie. The font is Mona Home. The groom restored a Ford pickup truck which is represented as the cake topper. The bride placed the Christmas tree and reindeer in the back...just for fun.1 point
