Trip to Skyline Drive in the Shenandoah National Park. The path was very rocky and the leaves covered the rocks. Stepping carefully was a wise thing to do. Template 206 by Lady 22.6 points

Welcome to December. Here is the December calendar featuring the Amur Leopard this time. Enjoy. I even used a little Out of Bounds on this one. I have posted a full size version on Facebook that will print 11"x8.5" I feature mine on my desktop. The leopard information is from the Beardsley Zoo in Connecticut, where they have successfully bred some new members of this endangered species. Edit: forgot to name the Amur Jaguar font - Sedalia and the journaling is Arial Narrow.4 points

Wow, Carole, those pages are beautiful! I love the "out of bounds" technique, which made the project unique. The journaling is so creative! I love it.2 points

This is what I created for the Nov. random challenge. Using buttons. This was fun but time consuming. The background was downloaded from CF, "Winter-landscape-74761386". All components of the Snowlady are buttons, some distorted to make them work. Also the walkway from the woods. am_intex that I have no idea where I got it from. I did a search in my saved stuff and found over 80 buttons. Of course some were only different colors of the same one.1 point

Just a small X-mas star with a decoration. As most of you know I'm taking the Scripting Course and in this week's lesson we had to use a preset shape and rotate it. Then write a (simple) script using what we had learned in that lesson. For fun I used a star preset shape and when finished with the lesson I thought well that looks like a nice X-mas star. The result from the lesson was quite small because we had to use a 200x200 image. This evening I played a bit with that script and redid it on a 400x400 image. After running the script I placed a decoration on it and I have something to use on cards or whatever related to X-mas. I love it when I can make something with the knowledge I'm getting in this course.1 point

These are gorgeous. When I read all the tools/steps, my head starts to hurt! But you are the master at intricacy!1 point

Sharing to show how wonderful Cass's Two-Toned Stitch Fonts are. I used them to make the border. I've had the fonts for a while now, but I plan on using them more often and not just for borders. (Lots of clip art and an alpha were used for this layout.)1 point

Well done, but I think I would prefer that one to stay inside the computer.1 point

Decided to play with Cassel's Echo Text Mask-Family Sampler. I played with various group photos, but this seemed to work the best. This is a great portrait of my granddaughter and her husband from earlier this year. It turned out like a Word Art comp. The font for the title and side info is Ravie. Now I'll acquire the script so I can customize it.1 point

A friend raked her leaves into a big pile and the neighborhood kids came over to jump in the leaves. Looks like everyone had a blast. Font is Apple Butter. Background is a blurred photo.1 point

I resurrected an old one from 2016 for the Daily Look and made some adjustments. I probably got the ladies from Google, but I didn't record the illustrators back then. The first one looks like Inslee Haynes Farris' work, but I'm afraid I can't give credit to the other three. I used various frames and flowers from Pixel Scrapper. The font is Runy Tunes Revisited.1 point

I've been working on making preset shapes. I needed an arrowhead and a shield for some things I've been thinking of. They required me (at least I thought so) to use two vector shapes to complete each project. I couldn't for the life of me remember how Cassel told us to export a couple of shapes as one complete shape. So I looked at the workshop and in Lesson 2 she describes how you have to highlight all the layers and then GROUP them. Well, that worked and so now I have a shield and an arrowhead.1 point

Thank you and I can't say if it will be to difficult for you or not. I find it is a bit similar to learning a completely new language and a steep learning curve, but soon I was able to recognize some parts that are always in a script. I haven't been learning/studying something really new for a very long time (besides all the wonderful things we learn here in the campus) and I had a hard time getting in a sort of flow that works for me. But having said that, I find it highly interesting and very nice to get my old braincells into action again. When t all comes together into such a script that I undoubtably will use many times. I have used postage stamps on many projects and always made them by hand, not difficult but my script will come in handy and save me time, therefore I wanted all the options in my script to make the best use of it.1 point

Daily Look for today. I decided to go with a poster feel. The bell and the ornament on the top are from CF. I've had Santa with his sleigh for so long that I don't remember where it came from. The snowflakes are a picture tube I made several years ago and the font is Kirvy (I know; you'd expect it to be curvy!). I had fun changing the color of the overlapping portions of the elements.1 point

I took a screenshot of a map, of the Maesteg area. I have circled where my parents farm is. The narrow lane takes you up to Mynydd Yr Gaer mountain, and on to Rhiwcellog, which is common land, where the sheep would spend their summers. There are cattle grids on either side of all mountains. The farm fields would rest, to produce hay to feed the sheep during the winter months.1 point

Something turned up on my FB feed that caught my eye. Normally I don't pay much attention to them, but this one was from David Attenborough's fan club (or so they say). I googled the images to check for the veracity of this phenomenon, and it appears to be true. The natural wonder of it is quite astounding. And since we have a Welsh person in this group, I threw together a layout using a template to save time.1 point

My latest entry in the Basic Scrap Course: Module 3. Photos by my daughter, Debbie, from last month when she was visiting for her High Point Regional High School Reunion. The fall colors seemed muted this year. Not as many reds, so perhaps no maple trees. The materials are: Background paper-ID_All That's Fall; Title font: Souvenir; Text font: Agency; Cluster Group: ID_All That's Fall and ps_Jessica Dunn_harvest pie string. Making the cluster a group worked well as I could add shadows within the group while also being able to move the whole cluster around intact.1 point

November to me is always about Remembrance, especially during the first half of the month. I have done a lot of research into WWI and WWII service people from my hometown area in order to write biographies of them for the Legion. The more I learn, the more humbled I am. This is my FB cover page for this month. I make one every month...since I can...thanks to this group and Carole!1 point

Yes, Happy November, weathers permitting! UK due for a winter storm soon so battening down the hatches! I have just read the Campus newsletter 31 October and was interested in the Colour Replacer article so had a quick go with a photo that I took on holiday that originally I had intended to make into a silhouette. I turned the colour photo into black and white in Effects/ Photo Effects and then applied the Colour Replacer using the dropper tool to source the colours I wanted to change. Just a bit of fun but it opens up more creative possibilities.1 point
