I also wanted to print these borderless but I hadn't thought to fill in borders with a pattern. Carole laid these out to print 8"x10.5" at 300 dpi and I wanted to print 8.5"x11". I wanted to keep it at 300 dpi just because that's the standard resolution for printing. That meant increasing the image size instead of reducing it. I decided the image could stand a little increase because the elements were so high quality and I changed the image size from 2400x3150 to 2550x3300. Even at that size when I dragged it onto the page layout I still had to futz around trying to get the borders perfect. That was very time consuming! I decided to add a few extra pixels to both dimensions. That meant when I dragged the image onto the page layout I got the message my image was too big and I could sit back and let PSP resize those few pixels to make it fit perfectly with no time consuming futzing. If anyone is interested the final image size I came up with is 2556x3307. That prints 8.520"x11.023" at 300 dpi which gave me a tiny bit of wiggle room around the edges so it fit perfectly with no borders after PSP resized it in the page layout. I'm sorry this was so long winded. You can tell I work as an engineer! I really want to thank Carole and everyone else for this workshop. I learned a huge amount having never worked with layers, or masks, or gradients and a whole bunch of other new things before! Each new calendar month I learn something new. Here's my May Calendar resized to print on 8.5"x11" paper.

You've all been so busy this November. Loved what you've been doing. I have made a greetings card or two and then looked at the Campus blog subject on 'Dual Effects on a photo'. I think I can have fun with that and, although a little bit late for Halloween, created this Dual Effects cat image. In Palettes I used Instant Effects 'Gemstone' for the jaggedy image and for the cat's eyes adjusted the main photo using the vibrancy scale, painting out the eyes on the Mask.

I'm just back from picking up my Calendar print job from Staples. I'm very pleased with it. The reproduction is outstanding and the price was under $25.00.It is for Jackie and Corey for Christmas and I'm going to add a paperback copy of the No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency book by Alexander McCall Smith as that is how I got hooked on Botswana. Here's a photo of the calendar hanging on my wall.

Here is the next photo: And the matching text: I like to play with my train. Daddy shows me how to build the tracks and ride the train on the bridge. Maybe... someday... I will be... a train conductor.

And page 2 will have this image on the left And this text on the right: I like to work in the yard. Daddy shows me how to rake leaves, how to put them in bags. We can even play a little with all those leaves. Maybe... someday... I will be... a landscaper.

I guess I can now share the pages I did for my handmade Christmas gift (I picked my son-in-law) so here is the cover for the book.

September - Picture is my own; morning glories are from Creative Fabrica. All the jewels were made with Filter Forge and ,made into directional tubes in order to jewel the months with Vectortube.

I had a print screen key on my old keyboard. My newer one doesn't. I could take a screen shot through PSP, but I prefer to use hold down the shift key, windows logo key and the letter S. I then create a border around the area I want to take a screen shot of, and it saves it in documents. The only thing it doesn't include in a screen shot is the cursor pointer.

The tree was from digital scrapbooking "Christmas-Tree-Bauble-82464322" (it was grey and I turned it green.) The lights were the red button picture tube that I then turned to all white. The buttons are some I downloaded over the years and I did adjust some of them.

Mother of pearl buttons for the snowlady are simply perfect! Plus, I love mother of pearl; I seem to remember I had some for buttons on a sweater.

Donna I like what you did with the date boxes, another idea to keep in mind for next year

Jan, Feb, March redone using the cass calendar script, shadows and bevels added. The rest of the months still need a little revision.

Oh that's sound like a fun place. I remember diners like that when travelling with my parents. I love the home cooked type diners over the chain restaurants. I was wondering how you would print a double layout, interesting that you can do that. There is nothing more impressive than turning a page to see it fill both pages. That's the WOW factor. Hope you can take a photo of the book and some the inside pages when it's done.

@Susan Ewart As the waiters are roaming about the restaurant with pots of additional food you might want, there are waiters with carts of freshly baked yeast rolls, and if you want a roll, they will throw you one. Sometimes it is from the front of the restaurant to the back (they must practice on the baseball diamond). And the food is fantastic - just like it came from your grandmother's kitchen. and the 45 pages are actually counting each double page as 2 pages. It was interesting putting them up on Shutterfly last night. As the double page doesn't go straight across 2 pages, it splits and you match up the center of the page on each page. I had never uploaded double pages before so this was a new experience for me.

Thanks everyone for the advice. The Windows snipping tool worked for me.

To take a screen shot using PSP, go to File, Screenshot, setup, select the setting you want (smart capture) start. As I said, I prefer to use the keys on my keyboard.

That is so cool, and very creative.

Julian, here are pictures of the settings that I used for the bevel and drop shadow. I couldn't figure out how to do a screen shot with the bevel screen up so I had to take camera pictures. They are sort of rough looking.

I am glad you found this workshop useful. That is my goal through all the workshops, tutorials, and classes in the Campus.

How did you get that lovely 3D effect on the dates Donna? I was aiming for something similar but yours looks much better.

I decided to show a photo of the beautiful Eucalyptus flower for the cover page.

Great idea making the snow lady out of buttons!

This is what I created for the Nov. random challenge. Using buttons. This was fun but time consuming. The background was downloaded from CF, "Winter-landscape-74761386". All components of the Snowlady are buttons, some distorted to make them work. Also the walkway from the woods. am_intex that I have no idea where I got it from. I did a search in my saved stuff and found over 80 buttons. Of course some were only different colors of the same one.

Had fun with this one. I updated the one I made years ago for the same theme. (I've been doing that a lot lately to save time.) The font is Little Brushy Regular.
