And this is week 52! Just the table decoration my husband bought us today. He has been ill again and today was the first day he felt good enough to go out for a little walk. I think I have said it before it was great to see all the very different entrees for this challenge and it was nice to have an ongoing project. Thank you all very much for the comments and inspiration. If we are going to do something again I tend to a fortnightly one, or another A-Z one.2 points

This was adapted from a small 8.5 x 11 page I made to thank my neighbor for some chili. It was a challenge to figure out shadows and other things starting with a small page. I have learned one lesson, don't start with that small (pixel wise) page for anything like this. Oh well Cassel will have to forgive me for it not being a well done page.2 points

One project I need to do that I'm putting off is documenting my vintage cameras/accessories, so I think the P52 would fit the bill. I like the idea of the fortnightly one, but wonder if a person could pick their own theme. that way I could tackle some of those photo ideas that are floating around my head and I would finally take the time needed in the studio. it seems weird (probably) to others, that I don't document my life that much, who wants to bore the hair off their head when all I have to show is work and cats. OMG!...just now, a piece of hair fell out of my head. aaaaahhh.2 points

thank you so much Corrie. I don't think I could have done it without everyone else posting (graphics or comments). I think this format gave me the discipline (accountability) to make sure I didn't give up. I know I wouldn't tackle this type of project on my own....because I have projects like that in my head but it's so daunting that I haven't started them. Being in group setting seems to get me going more.2 points

My last week will come later today, but now I just have time to answer the question of going on or change this format before I have to cook my courgette soup. Being almost at the end of this P52 challenge I already asked myself if I would like to continue in 2025. I gave you in 52 weeks and impression of my life and it doesn't appeal to me to repeat that because there would be many things that are going to be the same. Also I only want to do something where I can use my own photos, this is a personal choice of course. Being somewhat stuck in the place where I live without a car and with my husband not able to travel anymore a theme about travel, places, nature etc will give me not enough photos to use either. In the A - Z challenge I already used the place where I live and have a printed album as well. Of course I travel to California to visit my family and hopefully I can go in 2025, but that are just a couple of weeks. However I did love this P52 challenge and most of all doing it with you all, but I tend to go with some of Rene's ideas for a monthly challenge. However I'm open for new ideas as well.2 points

Sorry to be picky, but IT'S should be ITS Just thought you might want to change it in case you're thinking of printing or sending.1 point

The cemetery my parents are buried in is right here in town. I've gone there for many years multiple times during the year. For quite a few years I would go 3 times in May -- Mother's Day, May 20 which was my mother's birthday and Memorial Day. Then I would go on Dec 26 which was her date of death. After Dad passed away 8 years ago, I would go once in May, June 14 (his date of death), Oct 15 (their anniversary), Dec 1 (his birthday) and Dec 26. So I pretty much saw all the seasons of the trees in the cemetery. I always take photos when I go. Since a couple of the dates fall in the months that I do a layout for each day of the month, I have scrapped a lot of layouts of the cemetery. I will share a few. My October layout in 2023 was a few days late because I wasn't feeling good after my surgery. In December 2020 we had a snowstorm on the 1st so I went on the 2nd. The last layout is one I did in 2012.1 point

KP of 7 is forecasted for tonight too! Unfortunately, here, it is pourring rain. For those looking for references: https://www.swpc.noaa.gov/products/aurora-30-minute-forecast# I also use an app on my phone called Aurora. I just wished my phone could take those pics, but it does not. It is too old and does not have that powerful camera feature that newer phones have.1 point

I'm much obliged, for those meaningful words. I was thinking the same, as the window of opportunity to take the best shots was closing.1 point

I believe, I have posted 12 non wildlife pages in this challenge alone. Only the other week, week 35 was a photo of an old local red barn. I had to check myslef, as I created the pages, and yet doubted my memory of what I had and hadn't posted. Lol !!!1 point

You are giving me some awesome ideas. I could make that box in PSP and print it, fold it the deck of cards. Such a great idea. I should look into playing-card making companies.1 point
-
YES, I would love to get them printed. I'm thinking of at the end also designing a back for the card. Because I have a tea cup (T-Cup...for Ann! š) I dont think I used yet because it's a demitasse cup but it has playing cards on it so I could use that for the back of the card. That just came to me today. Isnt it going to be awesome when we complete this challenge and look at all the work we did. So cool!1 point

Yes Julie it is the same plant and it is mostly white but over here some can have a pink touch!1 point

I love monoline fonts like this one. They look great with inner bevels. The elements are from my older stash so I can't give the proper credit.1 point

I think it's framed beautifully. The reeds only add to it. Did you notice the tiny fly on it?1 point

I have been working on this DIY for a couple of days between the Shadow Workshop lessons and some things at home that needed my attention. But in the end I got there. For me the "paper" stripes and the background called for a symmetric layout and I took my colors from the photos. The background papers and scatter are from a kit called Dandy dandelion from cpjess and for the title I used the Shaped Text script by Carole. It was a bit of a puzzle to get all the elements arranged in such a manner that I can live with.1 point

This week I visited the Textile Museum in Tilburg with my cousin. The museum is in the original factory from 1870 and most of the more modern looms are in working order and produce cloth for tea-towels, napkins, tablecloth etc. You can see and hear them when they are working; the noise of 1 or 2 machines already is deafening and in those days the workers had no noise protection. It was an interesting day; we learned about the whole process from wool, cotton or silk to the end product. We both had been there 30 to40 years ago with our children but it was nice to see all the new exhibits that has been added over the years. Luckily there was a coffee corner too.1 point

I used to do that so I could better see the dingbats, but I didn't save them. Character Map is usually too small for me to see. I now have a few free font viewers that make it much easier for me.1 point

I started this layout last saturday but with the story workshop and a very busy week I just finished this one. I wanted to make the lifted corner by hand, but I'm not entirely happy with it. Next time I'll probably go with the script that I have. However I used the cass-SlippedInCorner2 which I won last week! I tried all the different options but settled here for this one. Script is nice and easy to use, love it! For the background I made an overlay with raindrops. Somewhere on the net I saw an umbrella adorned with flowers and made this brolly myself, just as the watersplash. The cluster is by Jessica Dunn and the rain or shine text comes from my stash. The title font is Star Bright.1 point

I will eventually get around to showcasing many of this season's photos. At present I'm taking a break, ejoying the summer, kayaking, cycling, riding, and of course photographing wildlife, of all kind. Head over to the facebook page, as I have posted some images of the Mouring Doves, which although I sized them down, not as much as I would have to on here, in the campus. I have never had so many Mourning Dove pairs as this year. I have six nesting pairs that I have found. THis family, although high up in a tree, it was fairly accessible, to take photos off.1 point

Possibly the late '70's or early 80's. This is a really nice layout.1 point

Thank you, Corrie. I had always wanted to go to college but didn't get there until we sold the drive-in theaters. The degree was for advertising and publishing which was my first love. I'm still working those skills with the marketing and advertising for the theater to this day.1 point

Susan, it is the tongue, just prior to lapping up a mouthful of jam. They are hilariously entertaining. Unfortunately, as much as I'd love to post far more shots, the campus isn't a photographic site, plus resizing down is time consuming. You will have to wait for when I create layouts, where I can add multiple photos.1 point

My take on the food challenge this month is a bit different. I was a picky eater as a kid, but I grew out of most of my finicky habits. Instead of a focus on what I liked, I've highlighted what turned me off big time! I was a small town girl, and the farm life at my grandmother's was not suitable for my tender sensibilities. š I made the photo"frame" based on something I saw by Marisa Lerin and made it a sort of mask. The image came from a google search. I did attempt to make a pennant with the word CHICKENS but I had so many problems with it, I gave up! I will try another day.....1 point

The theme for May is POOL. You surely have pool-related photos to showcase, or already made layouts about some good time around the pool. Do you have photos of yourself? The kids? The parties? Let's go! Post your project in the gallery.1 point

Week 16 and I have arrived safely in California and of course it was fantastic to see them all standing at the airport to welcome me! At home there were 2 exited dogs to greet me as well. In the first weekend we got to see some of the flowers in bloom on the meadows. It wasn't quite the superbloom of last year, but nevertheless still pretty impressive to me. I took a lot of photos and I have no doubt that those will come to good use in the months to come.1 point

Nothing fancy here. Cutout photo, textured paper, suggested font. The graphic at the top was taken from a Creative Fabrica graphic. Love "my" deer.1 point

The background paper and word, Florida, are from Bits Of Scraps and were part of a Digital Scrapbooking blog train, May, 2017. The fern, top left, from Jessica Dunn, May 2017 blog train, Digital Scrapbooking.1 point

I've got a lot of older layouts about my dogs throughout my life! I've had 4 dogs. One from the age of 9 to about 23. It was another 22 years before I got another dog. Less than 2 years later, I got a 2nd dog and had them for quite awhile. After they passed, I waited 18 months before getting my current dog. She will be my last. I found training a dog in my 60's was not as easy as training a dog in my 40's!!! Here are 2 layouts about them.1 point

Well said. Me too....avert my eyes and back away slowly (from drama, conflict or any uncomfortable situation). But...please be comfortable enough with me to say anything you want and give me any advice you feel would help in my learning, regardless of what anyone says or thinks. If you're speaking to or helping me (especially if you have knock it into my brain- I can be super dense sometimes) only you and me matter in that moment.1 point

Thanks Rene. It would never have occurred to me that the paper made by the printer manufacturer would be the best choice.1 point
