Last week, I was in Fredericksburg, VA visiting my daughter. Her dog, Clyde, is quite a character and a lot of fun. I made a pattern from his blanket and used it to fill the middle dots. I just used a color from the blanket for the other dots. The font is Madelyn Heart from Creative Fabrica. The bone is a preset shape with a texture from Creative Fabrica. The photos are mine and my daughter's. I used the open as a layer and clip to it scripts for the pictures. I loved how he would drag his blanket from the floor to the couch so that he could lay on it.4 points

The template of this 2021 Year in Review layout was a cass-freebie from 2022 Jan... I decided to do a double page, but I will still choose the last three spots on the right side... It takes longer to decide on which photos I want to use than anything else... The square was not big, and I still managed to fit 4 photos inside! ... I am late, but I don't give up. lol3 points

P52 Challenge Week 6 Today I have a Jack and Jacks = creamers! I had wanted to show a nicer one I have but it has terrible reflections on it (bad photography) so I'm going to try them again. I have 3 more Jacks to do. And since it's the new month, I'll show where I'm at in my deck of cards. That tea is getting really cold by now. hahaha, I actually had to really water it down for it to "look" like tea. The font I used is called Dept from Creative Fabrica. Not super curvy, but just enough curves...like the little creamer. BTW the cutie little t-pot will show up as one of the Queens. I used a gradient (foreground-background) for the background and for the frame too, but I inverted the gradient on it. there is a tiny spot in the middle that is the same color so in effect disappears a bit. And I had to change the color of clubs, as this strange round deck had green clubs (Ewww). Oops, I forgot to straighten the card deck shot.3 points

I stayed rather close to the DIY-kit and used all the elements as they were, but reshuffled them. In the big square is a photo of a drawing my eldest granddaughter did. She loves drawing and is taking courses to make a portfolio to get into a highschool that will have extra courses in arts. All the papers are from this month's Blog Train and by Jan Clark and Nellie Bell. I made 2 extra squares and they have brush prints on them; the other butterflies are from my collection and the butterfly outlines are preset shapes. The flowers are by Jessica Dunn, my own postage stamp, recolored dots and the font is Hobo. I think I have it all, nice to be back to scrapping, however I'm not saying goodbye to scripting either.3 points

My entry for the DIY Challenge. Using a photo of Deb and Aaron in their Airbnb on vacation in Inverness, Marin County, CA, and her photo of the beach as background. The clusters at the bottom are the same size as the larger rectangles in the template + an addition. The tag top left is a combo of the two small square elements in the template. I added more dotted areas; I like the effect. The frame and all other decor came from the ID-Circle of Life mega kit. The font used on the tag is Baskerville Old Face.3 points

Lab 12 Mod 1. Requirements: Scallops 2: saved it as a pspimage for the pattern and then made the background paper from it. Colored Tape: it’s holding down the tape I created sometime ago; Hand drawn frame: Well I did make it but did not distress it; I made it as if it was a regular photo frame and even shadowed it on the inside as if it was thick and made a mat for the photo. I made the little circle paper in the bottom right corner and placed the spaceman sticker and the 3 journal stickers on the side and made the Space Camp sticker at the bottom. I used “Polar Cordinates” Distortion Effects on my star ribbon to outline the paper. The spaceman and the 3 journal stickers are from Pixel Scrapper – Sheila Reid. The Alphabet is one of a set I made in a Lab. The font used in the title is Segoe UI Black. The star scatter is also from Sheila Reid.2 points

You will do well, Carole teaches it so thoroughly and you are a Diamond member so you'll have access to it afterward too.1 point

Sounds good. I'm leaving it there if that's okay. I'll start Feb as week 6. I can understand dividing it up. If it was one long post it would 100's pages by the end of the year. I should've used my head on thinking about that. And I'll be careful to watch for the transitions.1 point

I just thought it would be a little easier to find our stuff by dividing the thread in months!1 point

Week 5 isn't still January? Oops. I'll have to go retrieve mine too. actually I thought it was all one long thread. This is a good reason for me to be late in posting going forward. After a thought, I"m leaving it there. Because for me the week starts on Sunday making more than 1/2 the week being still January. and it's physically the 5th week of the new year. That's my lopsided logic.1 point

I have just logged in, and read some comments. I can't take credit for the colour of the door. The door is actually that colour. Rather cool I thought!1 point

Thank you ever so much ladies for your kinds words welcoming me back into the fold. It is very much appreciated. It was an incredidible time being home, especially being around the little girls. Ages 3 and 5. By the time I left they were already rolling the letter r, as we do in Welsh, and other letters. Also picking up many of my mannerisms. As for the memories, well they have left an indelible mark in my mind. Here we go again Susan. Haven't you ever heard the saying upside down and inside out. hahaha! I use it in reference to being topsy tervy. Being in disorder, until I get back into my ususal routines. Perhaps it's another British saying.1 point

This week there was nothing interesting happening and although making photos of housekeeping are ok 🤔 I want to show a photo that my daughter send to me. We had to laugh seeing one of the dogs as a driver and she remarked that she is training an assistance driver to come and get me at the airport if needed! This is such a cute dog and a bit naughty too. When I'm visiting them he is my friend and looks after me as long as I'm willing to play with him when the rest of the family is at work or at school.1 point

I also get the inability to react. In that case, I tend to just refresh the page. I am not sure if the site forgets you are logged in after X number of hours of idle.1 point
-
Sometimes what I get is the inability to react to a post and I scroll up and it shows I'm logged in. Only in some forum posts does this happen and always from when I click on the link in the email notification. And sometimes I have to re-log in because it says I'm not logged in. I always check "remember me" for your website so it's easier to just click the favorites bar where I have you. I chalk that one up to MS updates resetting things it has no right reset without asking first.1 point

I wrote them down too as well as did the screen shots. then I had a point form very short cheat sheet that I used. Then i just tried it by memory and missed a step. Seeing the step I missed made me remember that particular step. Now I can do it without referring to the notes. That is only the one style of making a mask. this year I want to to commit to memory another style that we learn in the workshop. I remember Sue T. telling to do one thing over and and over until I can have it memorized. Good advice because that is what I did. making the mistakes was really what helped me to learn the order of the steps.1 point

I went one step farther, I did screenshots of each step and put them in order on a letter size paper and saved it to my desktop and printed it too.1 point

Fiona, I fully understand that particular difficulty; I had the same problem but I solved it quite easily. I rewatched the video and halted it at the point where we got to those floating layers step. Used play and stop for the video and simply wrote down on very "old-fashioned paper" the steps and never had this problem again. For a while I needed my cheat sheet but now I now it by heart.1 point

Rene that must have been a lot of work, every day for a whole month but nice to be able to have them all done and very satisfying too. They look great on this "presentation board".1 point

Mary if there is a time when you can go a little bit more "fussier" , it is Christmas! This is very nice.1 point

I spent the month of January participating in the Month of Challenges at The Lily Pad. 31 challenges in 31 days. Even with 4 days away from the computer I was able to get them all done. One of the designers graciously provides a free template to showcase all of the layouts. I finished that today using a kit by Bella Gypsy. Also, all layouts must have only product currently on sale at the store or retired products by the current designers. Some challenges were a real challenge! Some challenges were easy because of things I've learned here at Scrapbook Campus (hello Mask Workshop). And some were full of ideas to use in future layouts.1 point

Last module for Lab 11. Lab 11 Mod 12. Requirements: Knit pattern and strip (the snowman knit strip at the bottom); glitter tree (I made a silver one, a gold one and a green one – also made a glitter star which I put on the top of each tree but they are separate); party hat – I put a gold tassel on the hat also. The plaid paper background I had made probably 2 years ago and the holly wreath on the light green circle paper I had made probably 1 year ago. I always have fun! The font for the title is CandyLandSwirls 1 from CF. I think it is fussier than I usually do, but it is what it is.1 point

This has happened to me in the past. Frustrating when it happens... once was an extremely long reply! The other problem I have had is not knowing if the reply actually posted. Just yesterday I replied to a post and hit submit reply. My post still appeared in the editing box and I didn't see a reply in the thread. I didn't want to hit submit reply again so I opened the thread in a new tab to see if my reply had posted. It had so I closed the tab that had the reply still in the editing box.1 point

I have just been informed that one of our members, Colin Hooson, passed, last week. He loved our classes and had started a gallery HERE. His health was limiting his work but he always enjoyed it. It is always sad when we lose someone from our community. We are such a tight group. My condolences to his family.0 points
