8 of my pages exhibit my photos. January photo taken by my friend, Bethany. February is my photo and one of my favorites. Font for months is Chocolate Sprinkles. It didn't have a lot of glyphs but I used what I could.6 points

It's so much fun when the daily theme for my Fabulous Divas group has an "f" and a "d" so I can play with the text. The font I used is Bernal Sans, a duo that has a regular version and an alternate one.5 points

Day 7 Calendar cover. This cover is to go with my Magazine cover from the Magazine workshop. I added the black frame as my Mag. cover has a red frame. I think I need to fill the black empty (negative?) under the word camera with something and the below the cameras. Some kind of words tying it to the magazine. And of course going back and adding the extra touches to the rest of the Calendar. Carole: once this workshop is over, should we post are finalized calendars in What Are You Working On forum?5 points

And here is my cover with a photo that I intended to use on one of the month's pages where it didn't fit. I had the same problem on the cover but could solve that by using a mask before I pasted it into the coverpage which gave me space to put a title that stayed readable. I tried different backgrounds but this one gave the best result as far as the page-mask is concerned. The title font is the same as I used for the month names: Almond script and the year is Bilderberg. I'm still debating with myself if I shall put the names of the flowers on the pages. The problem is that I know the English common names but most of the flowers I showed are not known here. So the English names won't have a meaning especially so for the intended German speaking recipient. Of course I can use the Latin names, but that won't have much meaning as well. Not all the months are completely finished yet, I will work at bit more on some of them.4 points

December 🙂 Now I see it online, it's very dark, maye I will change the background colours 🙂 I will make a cover for this calender and after that I will make a calender with pictures of my grandaughter how she looked like a year ago. She will be 2 in february, so it will be nice to see how she changed this year 🙂3 points

I was lucky to be handed down cameras from my parents and grandparents. They were casual photographers, family stuff mostly and my grandfather probably did more than my parents. I have bought a few on my own to add to the collection but like everything else they have gone way up in price lately. I used to be able to pick them up very inexpensively at thrift stores. I have the worst camera on my 8 yr old cell phone (that has no data *GASP*). The newer phones take amazing photo's. They are not great to make large prints from due to the small sensor size. I'm sure that will change in time though. That's also why current cameras have gotten so expensive, less demand as more people use their phones and less buying camera and equipment/accessories. I started collecting because I thought they were interesting looking, in doing the magazine workshop I had to do a little research about them and now I've become interested in learning more about the ones I have.3 points

The kit I used for this one was called The Winter Solstice by Jessica Dunn.3 points

I do a lot of decorating. Since I moved back to Alabama to care for my mom, it grew each year. Even though she had a bad childhood, she still loved Christmas. I did my best to bring as much magic to it as I could to help make up for lost Christmases. She passed away earlier this year. Since it is just me and the cats, I considered keeping it to a minimum if I did anything at all. After pondering a bit, I decided to go ahead, starting with the 9-ft. tree in the living room.3 points

Great workshop. I also attended your calendar making webinar awhile back. Learned alot in both "workshops". Here is my end result for August. The main photo was taken with my drone at the local arboreum in August of this year and the other is looking up at some cabins off of Lake Cumberland in Kentucky several years ago...from a boat.3 points

No, but if it were my choice, I would have! I was very young so I didn't make the decisions. 🙂 I have lovely memories, though. Sundays on the beach; watching my grandfather play pinochle in the park on those old stone chess tables; Tuesday night fireworks; eating delicious food on the boardwalk. Childhood was so carefree.2 points

I use to decorate big. I stopped when my parents passed. I do a little here and there but not much. I miss the bigger family celebrations.2 points

My grandparents lived in Coney Island right on the beach. We spent a lot of time there and Nathan's was part of it.2 points

Bonnie I'm so glad that you could find the time to resize your calendar pages so we could enjoy them. They are lovely and will print well, should you decide to do so. I hope your care duties will stay manageable and leave you some time for yourself!1 point

Ann you have made a great gift for your granddaughter with this lovely calendar!1 point

Thank you, Sue, I noticed that right away and made an executive decision to allow the font to overlap on some of them. As you say, we really do know the obscured titles.1 point

You may say that I'm knit picking, if so, disregard my suggestions. Firstly, I'm pleased to see you moved the title and year into the photo, on your cover page, more specifically the year. You months are obstructing the days, bar for one. Even though we all know the days of the week. Minor tweaking would make those days clearly visible. For me that would be an important detail. Saying that, you are the creator, and it's what you are happy with at the end of the day. I'm merely making a suggestion.1 point

Ann, this is a beautiful calendar. Your daughter is going to be blown away at how professional it is.1 point

Yes I have used blendmodes to all the images under the date boxes and for some background gradients too. I have used different ones because different colors needs different blendmodes to get the effect I want. I always check in the layers palette which one I'll choose and very often I reduce the opacity too. I have PSP 2023 and in this version you can scroll along the blendmodes and see on your image what it would look like. For me one of the great assets of this version.1 point

Sharing to show how wonderful Cass's Two-Toned Stitch Fonts are. I used them to make the border. I've had the fonts for a while now, but I plan on using them more often and not just for borders. (Lots of clip art and an alpha were used for this layout.)1 point

I just saw this video of a bear stealing this Taco Bell delivery and I just had to share this little page here. The pics were screenshots from the video. I have no idea if it was O K to do this, but what the heck, it cant be any worse than the way things are shared all over facebook etc. I made no attempt to add shadows or anything, I just had to do this for the Fast Food theme. Apparently we humans are not the only ones that enjoy a little fast food home delivery.1 point

It is great to see so many unique ideas for this calendar workshop. I got off to a pretty good start with the intention of doing the whole thing, Then I started not being able to sign into my email. I appreciated the suggestions other members gave me, but none of them worked. A few days later BINGO everything started working like it was supposed to. By that time I had spent so much time trying to get things to work, I was just plain computered out. I did go back and read and saved the instructions, but just didn't work on them any more. Maybe if I get time after Thanksgiving, I will try to do all of them.0 points
