  1. I finally got around to using one of Cassel's magazine templates from the Publish It challenge several years ago. The sketch is from Hayden Williams, my favorite fashion illustrator. The font is Vonique 64 (free, probably from DaFont) and the bar code is an edited version of the one Sue Thomas shared a while back.

  4. Just playing with the September freebie and added it to a photo taken a couple of weeks ago when we were away for a few days. The photo is of Coughton Court (https://www.coughtoncourt.co.uk/). We have been here a few times but we were lucky to visit early so not many people around. Made fro a very pleasant day out. I did have to tinker with the photo though and remove a certain person from it so did a lot of cloning and a tad of artistic licence. Anyway, thanks for looking.

  7. Yes, thanks for mentioning Particle Shop. I, too, began playing with it. Choose the color blue, and used one of the brushes and this page is what I came up with. The second one is the same page but smudged, blurred, etc.

  8. Guess I'll be posting my Travel Challenge balance of pages in the "What are you working on..." forums, cause it's going to take me into October (maybe even November) to finish. Then, there is that Alphabet Challenge from 2022 that I still have 3 more to do - X, Y, Z. Here is page 10 and 11. All my own papers and elements. Having fun with the leather tag making and decided to do some flare buttons too.

  9. Yet another layout inspiration I saw online. I didn't scraplift it entirely, just the basic idea. Background paper is from the Lilypad, a set of Fusion papers called "For Art's Sake". Then added the elements & text for the theme of books. Nothing much is mine, except the frame. I do love books and reading and do it whenever I find time. I met a man in a book club once who worked in an automotive assembly plant. He had a book with him all the time as he worked. If he could complete his part of the assembly in less time than allotted, he would read as much as he could, even if it was only 30-40 seconds at a time. I think that's amazing. (The quote is from Stephen King.)

  13. After the Q&A session last night I tried to find ParticleShop but via 'Effects', I still couldn't find it. With PSP, however, Painter was included so I opened Painter 7 and found the Speckle brushes and so so much more. Don't know why I hadn't looked at it before. Maybe thinking too much to learn. I Speckled away and think there must be so much we can do with it. Thank you for mentioning ParticleShop in the Q&A.

  14. Freebies are great resources that you can find in many places to build a library of elements, graphics, and tools. Since they are free, they are available to all. For this challenge, I would love to see how you can use the fence available on the store blog. Grab this fence HERE. How will you use this fence?

  25. I actually scrapped this morning! With my surgery scheduled for October 2, I decided to do the cover page for my October album early. I used a photo from October 2022 and papers and elements from my kit, Autumn Dream that I made during the Build-A-Kit workshop. I used a mask from the Mask Workshop (Day 3 Extra) and NO TEMPLATE!!! Big for me since I love using templates!

  26. Congratulations, Carole! I think I’ll come to the party dressed as a clock! There are 12 months in a year. In astrology, there are 12 signs in the Western and the Chinese zodiac. An analogue clock has 12 hours visible on its face. 12:00 hours when the sun shines is called midday or noon, and 12:00 hours when the moon shines in the beautiful sky is called midnight. A dozen is a quantity that contains 12 things. A gross contains 12 dozen. There are 12 inches in a foot. A group of 12 things is called a ‘duodecad.’ There are 12 face cards in a deck. Normally, there are 12 pairs of ribs in the human body. Most the keyboards of a computer have 12 Function Keys. 12 is a composite number, an even number, a natural number, and a whole number. 12 is the smallest number that has exactly six divisors, which are 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 12. Regular cubes and cuboids have 12 edges. In Indian schooling, the classes typically end at the 12 standard. In English, 12 is the largest number with only one syllable. Only 12 people have walked on the moon so far. There are 12 stars on the flag of Europe. Jesus had 12 disciples. Scrapbook Campus was started 12 years ago by Carole Asselin, Cassel. Vedantu.com

  27. https://scrapbookcampus.com/the-lab/lab-6-module-12/ NOTEBOOK LAB 6-12 This one got real involved and became a double page. The tutorial for the tokens was an eye opener about using "repeats" in the materials palette (using a gradient). This had to be made really small to go in the forum so it looks blurry.

  33. https://scrapbookcampus.com/the-lab/lab-6-module-04/ NOTEBOOK LAB 6 - 4 I was on a spacey roll with both this Lab and 6-3 (seen in the post above). The Labs are great to learn multiple techniques and find ways to use them in a layout. Or you can do the techniques on their own to showcase what you did. I need lots of practice with layouts and design so these are great to really strengthen my design muscles.
