PaintShop Pro is a great graphic program that comes with an array of supplies like brushes, patterns, gradients, and more. However, as a user, you will most likely gather more supplies that you will download or purchase. Although it might seem like an overkill to plan an organization strategy, you will very quickly find out that those downloads will become a big mess without one. Let's look at some easy ways to stay in control.

Create your own planner page with Paintshop Pro
It is still the beginning of the year and maybe you are the kind of person who likes to plan, or journal, or just have a fun booklet for anything you need to put in writing. Of course, you can buy a variety of planners and diaries but how about making your own? Using basic supplies in Paintshop Pro, you can make something simple, but, you always have the option to add more details and embellishments if your feel like it by using digital scrapbooking elements too.
2016 Color of the year
In 2016, you'll probably be seeing a lot of these two colors, namely Rose Quartz and Serenity in various places throughout. Be it on new furniture, new paint job, new clothes and shoes, makeup, and many more that have to do with the latest trends. Why? Because these two lovely colors are officially Pantone’s Color of the Year for 2016.
THEME – In-review layouts
In the beginning of a new year, we often look back on the previous year. What did we do? Where did we go? Who did we meet? Who joined the family? Who left us? What milestones occurred during those last 12 months? And why not use scrapbooking to document and compile those events? Let's have a look at different approaches we can have for an "in-review" layout.
Remember when…? – Box
As I was preparing for the Christmas gift wrapping and exchanging, one statement my mom used to say, came back to my mind: "Never rely on the box". This statement was repeated at every Christmas simply because she would reuse the same boxes year after year.
Remember when…? – Santa is stuck
This story is something I only partially saw, while another part was told to me. When my brother was 4, my Dad played Santa for us but also for our cousin who lived fairly close to our house. Unfortunately, that day, the roads were not the best.
Creating soft edges with Paintshop Pro
When working on projects with photos, although you might often want sharp, defined edges, at times, you will want something softer. It could be for a subtle effect, or because the defined straight edges look too harsh. Whatever the reason, here is a simple method to create a soft edge, very quickly.
Remember when…? – Santa money
Yes, it is that time of year when kids will make a long list of presents for Santa. This can also become a tough situation when families can't afford items on that list. Parents have to find a plausible explanation for why Santa won't or didn't bring in what the kids asked for.
Creating a layered template from a flat image
Layered templates are very convenient ways to shorten the time it takes to create a layout or a way to beat the blank canvas syndrome by giving you a starting point. Even though some scrappers will like to use the layered template as is, it is more common to use the basic shapes and ideas and then change them to suit our photos, supplies, and mood. If you have already created a layout and still have a layered version of it, it is easy to transform it into a layered template (check this tutorial), however, maybe you don't have that version anymore, so what can you do? Although it is a little bit more work, it is still possible to create that layered template "from scratch". Here is how.
Remember when…? – Christmas Dinner
When I grew up, we never had a house. Until adulthood, I always lived in a second floor apartment. This meant that any large gathering was nearly impossible, except for one year.
