What? Everything you do is useful, and exceptional. We all appreciate the time, creativity, and expertise you put into helping everyone. Both books, the abundance of materials on the site, and your personal attention and support. And a welcoming and helpful community. We are fortunate.6 points

"Slip it in" is another of the first things I learnt when I joined the Campus. The tutorial is an older one, but can be found in the creative scrap. I use this technique often.5 points

I am really happy to read that the book, in itself, was useful even for someone who has access to the DIAMOND membership. Believe it or not, I always doubt myself, wondering if what I do is useful. You made my day!5 points

Week 51 Did lots of stuff here, wish I could remember it all. I do remember I used a paper (from Dancing Tiger Designs) and selected and promoted the beveled design on it. then made changes to the bevel, new color, blend modes and re-beveled it and added a large shadow to the paper below. I actually left the design on the paper below because it also had a blend mode and some of the interesting colors came from leaving the pattern intact. I could not find a font or Alpha to fit the busy ironwork design I had created. I had a idea, and a brilliant idea (hahaha, the positive grinch I am!) to use the Letterpress Script choosing the metal option which I used HSL to color it a bit. The outline I wanted to have a metal bar so I added thickness to the stroke on that preset shape outline, and used a metal pattern. I duplicated that, beveled the top layer, used a blend mode, and reduced the opacity and then used the bottom layer to add the shadow too (very light shadow) 3 more to go, to get to 54 cards in the deck.5 points

52 weeks... Thank you everyone who started and didn’t stop throughout the year. Thank you to those of you who joined in for a while. Thank you to those of you who came to look and encourage us on. Thank you for all the kind comments. Thank you to Carole for making it possible and to Suzy for the original suggestion. Thank you4 points

It's always so cool when you do it and realize just how real it looks. I love that.4 points

Week 52 Background started out with a gradient, then I think I did the blinds, added noise, then line halftone horizontally. I tried applying the blinds to the Vectors but it made it harder to read. Played around with the opacity in the blinds settings and blend modes(outside the blinds setting), but still it seemed a bit harder to read, so I've left it the original red which seemed to fit the background well and did nothing to it in the end. I used the Lifted Photo Script on the playing card. Two more to go and my deck is complete. What a ride it's been. I've learned a lot and tried things I never would dreamed of. What a pleasure to see into everyone's lives and enjoy their photography (and other photographers that were used - what a delight to see). I find it amazing when I look in my "finished" folder and scroll through the weeks. We've made quite a body of work. The cool thing is we can hide the Vector layer and make them any kind of card we want.3 points

You have the best instincts, dont doubt yourself. I'm always wondering how the heck you do what you do, it's awe inspiring. I've learned a lot of new techniques from the book, that I never would have known about and knowing exactly where to find the tutorial is such a time (and stress) saver.3 points

Thanks, Suz. ❤️ Yes, there are at least 4 styles of garlands in Picture Tubes and the red Christmas balls are from Cassel.3 points

I did a quick search and there is a blogpost about it, which I always refer to if I need it. called: "Creating a Subway Art Project" Nov 16, 2020. There is a tutorial and there are 2 Masterclasses. But the blogpost is the quickest and easiest way to turn to; if you know how to do it your creativity will fill in how you can use it. I include here a X-mas card (in Dutch) I made in that period.3 points

Thank you Corrie. I found it and downloaded the blog. I have used one of the masterclasses when we did the build a kit. I'm just not that good at them. I takes practice getting it to look balanced. And for sure, finding the right fonts is pretty important and the most time consuming2 points

That is my wish, to be able to remember it. I need to use it often to remember it and then make sure I do it often enough not to forget.2 points

Yes I agree wholeheartedly; now I understand how to do this it isn't complicated at all but it looks fantastic! I have done a couple for special occasions, like 80th birthdays or 60th wedding anniversaries. I'm entering the years that those will come up, so with different wordart, elements and colors they look very unique.2 points

When you know where to look for something you want to do, it makes it so much easier and you will probably use it often! Maybe in the end you know how to do it by heart 😉2 points

Here's the lighter more feminine version of the first image I posted. Usually my niece and nephew (for them, the spouse, the kids) get money from my hubby and me. And previously I'd make an elaborate vessel/box to put the money in. Lately I have been making a separate card than one I would give to them and there family unit. This one would have been for my niece.2 points

I love this. That light looks so cool. You know I love flowers against black, they stand out so well and it makes it like a formal portrait.2 points

We still have that same foggy grey and sometimes very wet weather as the last 4 or 5 weeks. Only yesterday we had a short period of sunshine, but alas I had a couple of appointments and a lot of things to do, so very little time to enjoy it. Therefore again I have experimented some more and this is the result. I used this plant Nandine Obsessed in week 49 too but now I zoomed in on the foliage and changed the light setting to stage light with gave this result.2 points

Making it through 52 weeks is quite an achievement for anyone who managed it. Whether you did or not, would there be interest in making another P52 for 2025 or would you rather have something different for that year? Maybe you had enough of one year. Or maybe you are just starting to enjoy it and want more.1 point

What a cutie, congratulations and Merry Christmas and a Happy 2025!1 point

Very nice and it would make a great card as well, like Susan said. I have used the same supplies from Anna Aspnes and they look great on your layout too, they are so versatile.1 point

Lucky you, I did playing cards so I end up having 54 weeks in this year. I love this picture. they are dogs of the river, oh, like fruit bats are dogs of the sky (I want one! - and a wombat too)1 point
