  1. Believe it or not, I'm still working on my calendar. I really should have planned better. I'm also being inspired by others.

  2. I added a back page with all 13 images reduced plus I corrected the grid on December and now had those two pages printed at Staples. They were so nice and refused to charge me anything! They had printed my original 13-page calendar and added a coil at the top. Now these two extra pages are punched for the coil also. I ❤️ Staples!

  3. I had to look what a brolly is! The dictionary which I use sometimes when I'm doing other stuff on my pc as well had nothing about it, but google had the answer: it is an umbrella! I "learn" so many new words here!🙃

  5. Thinking of you, Chris. I'm hoping your cold goes away quickly.

  6. This seems to be a layout that is a hybrid between the November Word Challenge (Cold) and the December (Christmas) Challenge. Just playing with lots of elements and basing it on a layout I saw on Jessica Dunn's Curio Pantry site.

  7. You are absolutely right, I fly out on Wednesday afternoon, arriving at mid day the following day. I will be away for more than a couple of weeks. I fly back on the 31st January. It's going to be a wonderful, special time. I'm told that the girls are now counting down the days of my arrival using their advent calendars. Thank you!

  8. I dug out one of my very old photos from home. It wasn't that long ago that we were discussing the origins of Christmas and it's relation to the Winter Solstice during pagan times, in the campus. I mentioned that my children and I would go out gathering greenery for decorations, and branches for a tree. I have created a Yuletide page. I still make paper chains. I used Carole's label script for the journaling, the pine cones come with PSP. The other elements I have acquired over the years, which I use over and over in other pages, particularly the ivy, which you may recognise.

  9. I haven't either. And looks like another busy week. Hopefully I finish before this year is over.

  10. My husband and I stayed at the Las Brisas resort in Acapulco only once. We went to Acapulco every January for a week's vacation when our business was on winter hiatus but usually used a high-rise hotel on the beach. Las Brisas was located at the far end of the resort area and up on the hill instead of right on the beach. Everyone got their own little "casita" (small cabin) with its own or shared private pool. The terrain was extremely steep so we were encouraged to rent one of their vehicles, which were open-top pink Jeeps! Inside the casita was a bed, table, chairs and small bathroom area. Built into a wall was a small hatch which opened from inside and outside so the workers could deliver fresh, hot coffee and pastries early each morning, ready for us when we woke up. This was my definition of LUXURY! The images are from my very first Travel Time class back in 2020. It was my first when I joined The Campus and wouldn't you know I started immediately with double layouts!

  13. Loved it as much as the first time I heard it. Love the end, "I forgot to hit record" and of course the obligatory kitty cat in a banana box.

  16. You are so absolutely right. The brolly is a necessity, all year round. I've packed my British waterproof clothing. My Canada winter clothing will be to hot for home. I won't be taking a laptop this time, but I will have my phone to check in on you all.

  17. It wouldn't be christmas without cold, and the white stuff in the northern hemisphere. A perfect combo. You have a nack of arranging elements, creating beautiful layouts, without going overboard.

  18. Happy trails, Sue! You will be getting a break from the cold and winds of the prairies and using a brolly instead I think. Looking forward to the layouts to come from the trip.

For the grands it will be such a special X-mas with their granny present. Have a safe trip and come back with many new photos of the places you are visiting. See you in a couple of weeks!
