My latest entry in the Basic Scrap Course: Module 3. Photos by my daughter, Debbie, from last month when she was visiting for her High Point Regional High School Reunion. The fall colors seemed muted this year. Not as many reds, so perhaps no maple trees. The materials are: Background paper-ID_All That's Fall; Title font: Souvenir; Text font: Agency; Cluster Group: ID_All That's Fall and ps_Jessica Dunn_harvest pie string. Making the cluster a group worked well as I could add shadows within the group while also being able to move the whole cluster around intact.5 points

After looking at Carole's latest script, I had to see if I could replicate it. This is my test interpretation. I used a new mask layer, hide all. Brushes, Fonts, from vector shape, select selection borders. I must admit I do like this effect, another way to showcase my photos. The photo fills the whole page. Perhaps this wasn't the best photo to use as an experimental page, as the background of the photo gets rather dark. But I get the gist on how to create this effect. One of my resident Great Horned Owls. I'm going to put the script on my wish list, as I'm sure it will take a fraction of the time it took me to create the page below. Still, I enjoyed myself.5 points

You might have noticed the chatbot at the bottom of the Campus pages (not the forum though), and a handful of visitors have used his services. Some are just saying "hi", some have valid questions about their account. I tend to review all the conversations, in case someone needs help beyond what Markus is trained to do. Today, I came up with an... interesting conversation. Here is the screenshot (it is anonymous so I am not sure who will have lunch). I never "trained" Markus in the kitchen, so he is already "kitchen-smart" π2 points

No, those are her kids. You have to log into fb, then click on βphotosβ to see hers. She looks fun! Lots of freckles as a youth if I had to guess.1 point

Ah yes, now I remember that challenge, it was a short while back. I had completely forgotten about it. My apologies. I was unfamiliar with those pyramids you mentioned, until I googled them.1 point

Your garden reminds me of a Mandala I read about in a nature book titled The Forest Unseen. The author refers to 2 Tibetan monks that create a complex mandala of coloured sands, taking many days to complete. It has significance at many levels, concentration taken in creating it, complexity and coherence. The mandala is a recreation of life, Anyway the author of the book a biologist, creates his own mandala out in a forest, 1metre in diameter, wondering if the whole forest can be seen through a small contemplative window of leaves, rocks and trees, and water. Sure enough he could, along with his magnifying lens, he could view the whole forest, in immature. It's a fascinating book. He devotes a whole year of his attention to a one square metre patch of old growth in the forest. Your garden is alive, filled with colour, I'd be outside investigating every nook and cranny. I'd gather the leaves placing them on the flower beds, your garden is well sheltered1 point

November to me is always about Remembrance, especially during the first half of the month. I have done a lot of research into WWI and WWII service people from my hometown area in order to write biographies of them for the Legion. The more I learn, the more humbled I am. This is my FB cover page for this month. I make one every month...since I can...thanks to this group and Carole!1 point

I was practicing adding text. I got the poem from an internet site where people can submit their poems. There was no name added and it also doesn't mention that you can't post it anywhere. Only it stated that you are not allowed to publish it under your own name. I just thought it was a beautiful poem. de Font is Agency FB. I don't remember where I got the pumpkin.1 point

No, not done yet. Just a few more pages to do, but I'm just stopped for a bit until my mojo reappears.1 point

My mojo has escaped again and so I've been playing around, This summer I took a snapshot of a wall covering that I thought would make a good background. This morning I took a square of it and make it a pattern. Then I worked on the pattern and made it an overlay and reduced the opacity to 50% and then made a copy of it and put it in my Textures file. Then I made a paper of blue color and used effects>texture effects and this is what I came up with.1 point

I am in too, I cleaned up my folders and discovered that I started the workshop in November 2017. I didn't finish it1 point

Glad to see this workshop pop up again! I created a calendar for my granddaughter, Anna Lee, 2 years ago with the theme of the TV show, Downton Abbey, as we were both passionate fans. She and her husband even traveled from California to England and visited the real "castle." I don't know what my theme will be for this year yet but maybe another favorite TV show as they yield a lot of media photos to work with. Here's an example of my previous work.1 point

Here's what I came up with for the numbered items. Couldn't think of anything else and wanted to do something. I grew up in a really small town, moved to the big city for many years, then came back 11 years ago to a small town. I love it. Trouble is, everywhere is growing so fast and it changes the nature of the place. I think I should live in a cabin deep in the woods away from developments. The frame at top is from Melo Vrijhof at DS, the phrase strips from Cassel, the background image from online somewhere. The font in red is Boring Showers. Made the little numbered squares.1 point
