Just playing with this one. This is a favorite photo which I "misplaced". When I found it, I created a layout. Template 167 from Lady 22. 77th birthday for our friend, Judy. You may remember I asked about the font some time back. The text and the pickleball girl were on her birthday card, so I just added to my layout of her friends who gathered to celebrate.

Girl's Weekend included a pickleball tournament, the beach, ice cream and more! The tournament raised over $31000 for Cystic Fibrosis.

I made this for the Paintshop Maniacs page from a photo that I took at Colonial Beach, VA and my own mask. I used the shape cutter for the letters, then applied the cass-edges script. I applied a layer style bevel and emboss to the blue layer.

Phil and I decided to make some day trips, one of which was hilarious because he told me he knew where he was going. After going about 15 minutes in the wrong direction, I finally turned on GPS. I have made a vow to always use GPS, especially when he says he knows the way. In fairness to him, he did a good job navigating Windsor Ontario with no GPS.

So many wonderful pages being created with such varied topics, also many varied topics being discussed. I've now finished playing around with these lovely, quite different frames. I now have several templates for future use.

A friend from my betta fish group posted some photos of her 9-month old cutie and I snagged one to try with Carole's frame freebie, using Sue Thomas' work as a guide. Here's Aspyn.

Granddaughter Jackie and hubby Corey are celebrating their Second Anniversary. I had 16 photos to place and thank goodness for Carole's Hanging Photos 2 Script! The succulents are for Corey and the animals are for zookeeper Jackie, found in the Animal Kingdom kit; the LOVE word art and snippets are from Melo Vrijhoff on Pixelscrappers. The title font is Simple Pen Solid and the frame is labeled BMU-Eve from Scrap Girls and the striped background paper is from a wedding kit by Sahin Designs.

The next one. I was working on another layout but I didn't like what I came up with and made this one instead. I didn't see the full extend of that glorious bloom, only the last of it when I arrived but I have taken so many flower photos that there will be a selection in my book. The background consists of 2 photos taken by my son in law when the family went to admire that bloom. I merged them together with a mask. The template of the State is by Marissa Lerin and I filled it with my own flowers. Carole's stamps template came again to good use as well as datestamp 12 script that I bought in the last birthday sale. Font is Perfectly Vintages that I use throughout this project .

I think it would simply be a matter of layering straight lines in different colors and adjusting the opacity. It might be a bit tedious to do but it is not hard. Maybe a tutorial?

Ann, that turned out very nice! I gather you can tell the script how many photos you have to place because the samples I’ve seen have way fewer photos. I like it with more photos, I think. Bonnie, you are on a roll! Three great LOS all at once! Donna, we have THE WORST luck with GPS - always our fault - always a mess. My husband loves it, tho. (Rolling eyes). I was surprised to see the little town where I was born on your map, Alliance, Ohio! My husband and I have taken a few day trips this summer with more to come. I come up with the ideas and he says, “sure”. And then they end up being not quite as I advertised. This last one was an overnight, more or less in that area, Shipshewana, Middlebury and Napannee. I do not think we will be going back, but the 18 mile bike ride on the Pumpkinvine Trail was really good. (Hence my bicycle kit from last month). On the way home, we got sort of lost and we were not on the grid. At all. No Apple, no Google, no VW Car care, no GPS. We just kept driving until we hit civilization, where I could ask a person how to get home. I think it added an extra hour to the trip home and it was completely ridiculous.

GPS are not always the best thing to follow! On a trip with 2 of my friends to London, Ontario, Canada in 2008, we had a GPS. They live in Dayton and had gotten breakfast before they picked me up. I hadn't eaten so I was hungry about an hour into the trip up I-75. I wanted a McDonald's breakfast and we were in an area where there weren't any McDonald's right off the highway. One of the girls tried searching but I saw a bulletin board indicating one coming up at the next exit. So she stopped searching on the GPS. I got my McDonald's and we got back on the road. When we were going through Toledo, it kept telling us to exit. We kept heading north on I-75 and it kept telling us to make a u-turn to head back to Toledo. We did make it to the crossing and heading into Canada (we took the tunnel that time). When we got through the tunnel, the GPS was telling us to turn around and go back to the US. Finally, the girl decided to see where it was trying to take us. Turns out when she quit searching she had accidentally changed the destination to a restaurant in Toledo (Olga's Kitchen)! She changed the destination and we had no problems from then on. Since then I've been extremely careful when setting my GPS unit as to my destination. But I also look things up on Google maps before I go so I at least have an idea already.

Interestingly, I was doing my weekly movie theater work and came across this logo for our new Disney movie, Elemental. The font reminds me of Carole's new frames. I'd to know how to she created this effect. I'm posting a snipped so you'll see what I'm talking about...

I really appreciate when the settings show in the screen shot or the video. I forget which tutorial I was having problems with because following the directions just wasn't working. I wasn't getting anything like your example. If I remember right, there was one screen shot that showed the settings and once I used those, it worked. I know you like to zoom in especially on the videos but sometimes being to actually see the settings really helps!

I love this layout. this is me. i have a horrible sense of direction. I laughed at the "Oops Wrong Way".

You could use this photos for a layout ....Ann ?

W- words/sentences in my poetry album from my dad

Here on the East Coast of the USA it was intensely smoky early last week, the worst being Wednesday. Thankfully, it is now cleared up. Here were my shots of the sun Wednesay at Dawn and at Noon. (Never was able to shoot the sun without an eclipse before!) I felt like I was transported to the film Dune!

Doing well where I live in Alberta (close to Edmonton), hazy and smokey out but not super smokey smelling. We can have the windows open for "fresh" air. Hoping for some rain. Still lots of communities getting evacuated (some for the second or third time).

It is a new month and new projects. Show off what you are working on in June be it a scrapbook page, a collage, a tutorial, or anything else you want. We are curious and want to see, learn, and get inspired. These threads are quickly becoming a fantastic source of inspiration, support, and friendship. Keep them coming! Remember to size down your image to about 600x600 pixels and save it in .jpg format before posting it. Here are a few guidelines for everyone: when you post a project, give as much information on your sources or techniques used. It will help others who are curious and would like to do the same. if someone uses something that you like on their page, ask where they got it. Sometimes, you can go get it too and it will be better quality than trying to extract it (as it would have been resized to post in the forum anyways). if it is something that they did from scratch, ask how they did it. It would be so helpful to everyone! if you like a photo and would like to “play with it”, ALWAYS ask permission. Sometimes, there are some limitations and the person is not allowed to let others use it. Don’t get them in trouble. Usually, people are happy to say yes (if they can) when you ask politely. And if you get permission, you might get a better-quality image than the resized image anyways.

Thank you, Cindy. I had the script for a long time before I even knew how to use it. I just started using it over and over until I got some nice masks using some of my brushes. I had to remember to make the opening very black.

Thanks Michele. 6 of the 10 tree swallow nest boxes are occupied this year.The parents occupying this box are busy trying to keep up with the constant demand of feeding young. I suspect they gave 4 nestling. I'll find out when they fledge. I have photos of youngest popping their heads out of holes. I appreciate the shadow comment.

Carole, you do so much for us and the campus, it's quite natural not to think of each setting-listing every time. And if we have a problem we can't solve alone, we simply ask here.

Absolutely, Julie, it's good to learn every day and with PSP not difficult.... I often try to use the help topics, the user guide or "google" before I ask a question, but the matter is you don't always find the answer for a specific question.

I love the Mask I bought a script but have to see if I can figure it out again, I still dont know how to make one going to try the one on the Q And A recent I love your work so nice.

Well, Julie, it might not be as in the directions, but it would be an interesting paper.

But you do point out most of them, so that's good. It's up to me to check more closely to see what settings are there for that tool at that time.

I love song challenges. My fantasy vacation to the Florida Keys to one of Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville Resorts (he has some all over the world). His iconic "Margaritaville" song always makes me stop and sing along. I got a lot from NicePng, the layout is the template from Lab 13-06. The background is from my stash of beach kits.

I love them too! And my yard is full of them. I made a deal with DH Rob (Darling Husband Rob) that he could mow the front yard but I got the backyard left alone until I finished with the little beauties. they are dont now and I did manage to get to shots (portraits mostly in the studio). I am working on another layout with them. Your's is a beauty, perfectly perfect. they are the happiest of flowers.

Sue, I think the term Monogram is deceptive as I have several sets in my Alpha/Digits folder that the designer designated as Monograms. I guess it may be a cultural thing. Whatever country/language is involved. I agree that my mind sees them as fancy, with flourishes, but not everyone uses the same naming procedure.

I agree that the example you have posted is a lovely Alpha and only an alpha(bet). I may be completely wrong, and way off the mark, but to me a monogram is a letter or number, typically someone's initials usually combined or interwoven in a decorative design, to be used in a logo or something along those lines like in a title. The font frames that I have are stored in borders, frames and dividers folder. Which is where I will put the above pngs. I was merely pointing out that those lovely heart png frames above, is not a font, or a monogram, but comes under what I would class as borders, frames or if split, can be used as a divider.

So, I'm playing with Steve's Rainbow again. I took a section of the rainbow and played with Effects>Reflection>Feedback and came up with one I liked; put it on a larger canvas size and duplicated, flipped and rotated it until I had a pattern I liked and then made a background paper of it. Used Cass' Mask from Mask Workshop Extra 3. The font is Bluebell. Canvas frame is of course from a selection and inner bevelled.

Now that is really awesome, Susan! Yours looks just like it! The fading of a vector sounds like a real headache…any thing with a vector sounds like a headache…but I don’t think I could have even thought of it, much less considered how it would be done. I can’t wait for the class on Sunday! Maybe we’ll learn when to convert to a path, and when to convert to a raster. LOL!

Nothing wrong with that, if it's not working, move on and find something that does work. It's not giving up, you solved the problem of those textures and overlays not working, so you in fact learned something from trying it. I know it feels like giving up, but think of it as learning what isnt working often moves you back to what IS working. Dont we learn more from what goes wrong than what goes right. I do know all too well this part of learning is the unfun part of it

I am watching this Australian Mystery series on utube and there was a scene with a cool design in the building (picture below). I wanted to try and receate the graphic version. I cant wait till we do the Vector workshop. I used vectors to create it and did some problem solving along the way. I'm happy with what I did this time. I didnt quite get the proportions right. When I know better I'll do better. I was playing with what to do with the background when I tried the gradient called "Underworld" so my theme was gambling in the underworld (too much watching the TV show Supernatural). I used the eraser tool to fade out the bottom as if it was descending to the underworld. It was the first time using the Custom Playing Card script from Carole. I LOVE IT. I learned to click "cancel" when choosing a photo and "cancel" again to continue the script and ended up with the layers of, white background and card number/suit. I put the same gradient on the card, lightened, and put my photo's on. I can see a lot of ways to use this script. My original layout was quite dark (my monitor is very light so it's hard to know what it looks like) so I lightened it up for the forum/gallery. My photo's of a recent studio shoot, fun with expiring dandelions. Font is Vanilla Right.

Looks like Happy Birthday to Tennessee is in order. Look at how many double letters in a row is in this State. Now that's something to celebrate! I like the information you give in your layouts.

I was surprised to learn I won the Phrase Strips script! I had to play with it which took a bit of time as I made the adjustments to the script itself (as per instructions included) and needed some help from Carole. My deadlines for two projects are now behind me (other stuff) and I can get back to PSP time. I like the "idea" of this layout, but I'm not entirely pleased with the harsh white background. I had to leave it like that b/c I'm not much good at extracting an image and getting a transparent background (the sketch of Mrs. Roosevelt). If I changed or softened the background, then the borders of the sketch were too visible. It's a skill I have to acquire.... Otherwise, I'm happy with the phrase strips and how to use them. Thanks Carole!

Leftover Scraplift from May - Six of my grandchildren (the ones who have significant others). The only one missing is Tyler-John who is unattached at this time. The title font is Baby Olivia, the background is color fill treated to weave texture, the curved paper is treated to a pattern using the sculpture texture, the flowers behind the photos are a ribbon called Butterfly Garden-clipart 15. Brad, on the top left, is new to my digital layouts. He and Alycia, top right, are twins.

Let's start with a new Wildcat Calendar for June. Here's the Ocelot, a medium size wild cat. Found mostly in Texas, Central and South America, and a few islands. They have been hunted for their beautiful fur coats and recently, females killed and kittens stolen for the sale as pets. That doesn't usually work out once the cat is full grown and they end up in shelters or worse. I'll post a full size image on our Scrapbooking with PaintShop Pro Facebook group.

I downloaded the template from lab 13-02 and omitted the star elements and used 2 watercolor elements from a freebie creative fabrica bundle instead. The colors are from the proposed color palette:Sedum Hues, in the experiments. With the ribbon I made with the Double Arrow Pattern tutorial I also made a bow with the script : cass-Bow15
