OK - still working on 2022's Alphabet Challenge. Finished R is for Route 66. Such a long road and so many interesting places to see and take pictures of. I tried to take representative pictures of the places within the states covered, but I didn't have pictures of Illinois (on Route 66) although I've been over that road many times, and I didn't have pictures of the road in California since I've never been to Santa Monica (although I've been to Barstow - but no pictures). Anyway - this is my take on the route.

My take on this sketch challenge. As we don't have winter overhere in the Netherlands at the moment, it is way to warm for the time of the year, I started to dream about flowers. I used some papers about vintage gardening which I have for a long time and I don't remember where I got them from. My photo was in portret format so I rotated the sketch

Hi everyone. Happy New Year! There are so many projects on display but I don't have a new one for January to show. Corrie in the Forum gave me the idea though so I am also using the freebie YearInReview to represent a sort of graphic annual expression of achievements last year from a couple of the Campus workshops that I attended: Masks, Templates. The actual month names are not particularly relevant to the projects but they still represent the year. Thank you Carole for your tuition and for the freebie/s.

On the way home from The Ole Country Store we stopped at Messick's Farm Market. "Virginia is for lovers" is Virginia's slogan so you find these Love signs in lots of places. Messicks decorates theirs for the season. Of course, the quote at the top of the layout is a bit outdated but I like it and the sleep part fits me perfectly. I extracted the tree and train from the photo.

2022 Year In Review; template by Carole.

This is my result for the skech challenge. All my photos are in landscape, so I followed Corrie's idea and rotated everything. These pictures are from 2005. I went to get Gizmo in a shelter. He was then 4 months old. He turned 11 years old. Made papers with the colors from the photos and a texture Fonts : Embossing Tape 1 BRK + Ambrogio

I have no resolutions for this year! I never make them anymore because it turned out useless. But now I'm almost finished with rehab training after my hipreplacement, I plan to visit my daughter and her family a little later in the year. They recently moved from Washington State to California, work related. So a whole new area to see, although at the moment it isn't fantastic there with all the bad weather, luckily their new house is on higher ground. Now I'm able to go for longer walks I hope to take new photos of flowers as if I haven't yet enough And use them in many projects and challenges. I have a whole list of Labs and Elements I want to explore besides Masterclasses to watch. It always seems I do not have time enough, my normal social live must continue and last but not least I want to spend time with my husband. As we are not that young anymore you never know how long that will last. For this week: we celebrate my hubbies birthday on friday and because it is possible again there will be visitors friday and in the weekend; so that means shopping, cleaning, cooking etc.

If 2023 is as amazing as these creations, it will be a very good year!

I have tried to make a side paper. Mireille showed to do that with the pen tool. I still find it a bit difficult to work with the nodes, but I am satisfied with the result. I also used the VectorTube script and Carole's TattingLace08 tube

I started playing with the Sketch Challenge by making it into a template. Then I recalled Suzy talking about flowery papers, and I happened to be on Digitalscrapbooking.com for my 5 daily freebies so I downloaded floral papers. Then we had the Master Class in Borders, and I wanted to try the Torn Edge technique. Putting that all together, here is A Dream of Spring. The font is Hobo and I used the cass-curved photo and clip-to-it scripts.

I guess I should also show what I do, when I am not recording videos! In summary: January: my husbnd showing off his new kitchen attire (he loves to cook and bake) February: an accident a few hundred meters from our house torn down an electric pole. Power failure for a few hours March: a little visit to the ER. Nothing serious although concerning for me April: yes, still getting some snow May: a little present sent by someone I have helped with her PSP. Lovely notebook! June: a visit in Ottawa, where I met 3 "colleagues" from Corel July: cookies for Xavier's 2nd birthday (no I didn't make the cookies) August: at my age, first encounter with... lice! September: upgrading the kitchen to add a backsplash but we also have to move one counter by about an inch! October: leaf raking with the grandson November: visit to Montreal and a tour of Illumi December: a little peek-a-boo cat made for Xavier's quiet book.

I found the "Year in Review" freebie template in the store while looking for something else. I used it pretty much as is, just a background with some text and some coloring. For each month I choose a project from that month that I did for that month. Because there isn't space for the whole layouts I took a detail from each.

Cass gave us a bargello sample pattern that perfectly matched the girls I used for this! Thanks, Carole. (The font is Argaka Fashion from Fontspace.)

Hi, yes its me again, not able to move around too well so time on my hands. My wife Karen started an interest in sewing around the middle of last year. She has been attending night classes at the local college so half the spare bedroom is given over to her growing amount of materials; I have the remainder as my computer room/office. Karen has made a new years resolution to start to make here own clothes so she'll have some nice new outfits for the spring and summer. The title are Jeans Patch alphers from Cassel, the journaling background and main background is from the The-Ultimate-Vintage-Bundle download called "vintage sewing papers" a free download from Creative Fabrica. The other elements are just images taken from the internet.

I just used Algerian on a layout tonight. I used a paper from a kit and did a cutout of the numbers 2023. Then I added an inner bevel. The layout is for a challenge at The Lily Pad called "Finding Me in 2023". A template designer is hosting the year long challenge and provided the template for the "Finding Me". There will be one prompt each month for a layout. This month is hobbies... I've got to really think how I want to do that layout!
