Corrie, I'm taking an Affinity Designer class on the Affinity Revolution site. I'm not sure if there are differences in what they offer compared to Udemy. Itβs probably worth checking out.4 points

There is a cost to Udemy, it is currently USD13.99 per course, for a short time. Ally has 15 courses there. I am doing another, Learn the entire Affinity Suite, by Lindsay Marsh and Jeremy Hazel.4 points

The 7th and last of the Vector Workshop for PSP. The knife tool is a very interesting tool. I believe it is used for the making of paper clips also. I'm sure there are several other uses to use that tool for. I tried it on the heart I made to turn it into a "bleeding heart flower", but I failed. I'll post this in the q&a thread. Anyway, I finished with the partial circle and the partial text. The text I used was Adventure Island Script. The gradient background I made with pink and green from my Spring Kit colors.3 points

"I'm sorry you're having tech problems..." It shows, Michele, that it can happen with any app. π Both images are free to download; the link is provided in the YouTube video description. The picture I posted was just the girl who was selected from the image below. I'm not sure why the crashes happened. It could have been because the "Model. afphoto" file was created in a previous version (a warning is displayed about it). But I made a copy of it and saved it in the newer version. Working with the Perspective Filter is tricky, too. In the end, I saved a PNG file, which I then used.3 points

I too follow the tutorials or lessons for Photo and Designer, but I too didn't know she was on Udemy and I will check that out. Thanks Jeni3 points

Since the Vector Workshop, Iβve been watching and practicing a few video tutorials for PSE and Affinity. I wish I had more time to experiment with the programs and create something in PSP, but that isnβt possible right now. This is my attempt to replicate the Affinity Revolution's CRAZY Perspective Bending Composite! Affinity Photo Tutorial. It uses the Perspective Filter. Yesterday was my first attempt, and it was successful. However, when I tried reopening the .afphoto file, the app crashed. Yeah, this also happens in Affinity. π Today, I tried again, and it crashed while I was adding a shadow. After another attempt, starting from scratch, I managed to complete it without any issues.2 points

Thank you Jeni and Cristina, I'll have a look as soon as I have finished making a photobook as a thank you gift from the swimming group I'm in. The lady who manages the coffee/tea and lesson's fee at the pool is leaving and we had a buffet made by one of our members. My attribution was taking the photos and now I'm making an album. So busy doing that and getting it printed as soon as possible.1 point

Now I understand. The pattern in the middle of the letter B. I had the pattern in these. Thank you so much Sue.1 point

Here is an example, which will better explain what I was getting at. You don't need to feel silly, as we were all beginners at sometime or other. There are several ways to achieve this, firstly, you should still have the vector letter, by using 'from vector object', in the selction tool bar, invert, delete. Probably, the best option for you is to use the eraser tool. I added a shadow, to demonstrate that the pattern used in the letter, shouldn't be in the empty spaces of the letter B (counters as they are called).1 point

I have been on a kick playing with making a silhouette from some of my pictures. Here is one of them and how I used it on a picture from probably creative fabrica. (Green-meadow-and-castle-9407905 DSC_2705) If I was going to use it somewhere else I think I would call it "looking at the castle from the dead forest.1 point

We just returned from a mini vacation to visit my daughter and her husband in Fredericksburg, VA. There are "Love" signs in many of the sites that we toured. The barrel and the fish are from Adobe Express. The Virginia map is from a font and filled with a texture from FF. I missed the Affinity Vector workshop and plan to complete it soon.1 point
