Day 2 I have finally finished my sandwich. I used a few free png downloads for the ingredients. I thought I would add some butter on the top slice that would be spread and turned upside down to create the top slice. I also wanted to use a tray and found one that is a wooden sign, who doesn't use anything for a tray? I added a soft frame because the sides of the 'tray' are cut off.6 points

I used these stars in a layout. I need to resize it before posting. This layout is for the About Me Challenge...Places I've been. I have played competitive basketball in 25 US states and Washington, DC. The states which are colored in are the states where I have played. I included Iowa because I will play there in the National Senior Games in July.4 points

OMG! Yes! these are great, I have all of the mentioned words except the French horn. I know (*GASP*), how can I be the only one alive who doesn't have a French horn? I had wanted to do this rather funky bathroom hardware that came with this house as it is a 'fleur de lis' motif, but I'm really trying to stick to one word. You have given me some ideas and I will be using one of your words...if it works out. (I cant believe that I didn't think of 'film' when I love photography and I used to be a photo lab printer back in the 'film' days).3 points

Beautiful Crocus photo, such vibrant Spring colours. Love the Gold Fern and text. You also retained the details in the butterfly. I use a slightly different approach to colouring elements gold, depending on the element of course. I duplicate, flood fill the element with a goldy yellow, then use the blend modes. Adding noise makes it look more gold like too.3 points

Film would be a great one for you...if you have any old film around. Otherwise, fish, frog, fork, french horn, feather, foliage, just to start with3 points

Oh that's to bad about the oven. Mine is on it's last legs too, and the fridge sounds like a semi truck at idle. I'm still trying to find an F object.2 points

Nice to see so many familiar faces and I'm almost sorry I really don't have time enough to take this bootcamp on as well. I have my upcoming trip and I like to finish the Build a Kit before I fly away. The same goes for the AlphabetPhoto Challenge; I have planned a photo session for tomorrow to take the photos for the coming letters and now (this evening) our oven brook down. So tomorrow it will be a trip to the shops for a new one...... But I will check here once in a while and see what you all are doing.2 points

I belated Happy Birthday to you! Due to the time difference I often see posts somewhat later, because when you post them I'm already asleep. I hope you had a lovely day.😍2 points

My table with my favorite drink--cappuccino, favorite kosher dill pickles and ham sandwhich with tomato, lettuce, cheese and onion. The plate, coffee, pickle, napkin with tableware is from Adobe Express. The bread texture is a PSE style. The ham, lettuce, onion and tomato are from Canva. The wood background is from one of my photos.2 points

I wish you could turn your money to gold too. I'd be the first the line up for a hand out. Your elements look great. I like how the texture is retained in the elements.2 points

When I started to think Gold I made quite a lot of golden elements. 🤣 I took the photo of these crocuses just a couple of days ago, they are coming in spades now and these lilac ones are always the first, then come the yellow, purple and white ones. The mask is by Jessica Dunn, I like her masks and often choose one of my collection. Then I started to make a golden crocus from an extracted crocus from my stash and duplicated and flipped it. Well I continued with cass-stitch-flower1 brush at the bottom and at that point decided all my elements will be in gold. Therefore the butterfly and fern leave from my stash turned into gold as well. The font is Arienne and I honestly tried it first in lilac but that looked somehow a bit funny and it became gold too. I wish I could turn my money into gold that easy, I could fly business to California!2 points

Gold elements challenge. I turned a stem of green ivy leaves to gold, and an insect which I extracted from a photo.I thought using the Shiny scarab beetle was appropriate for this challenge. Besideds the Shiny, other scarab beetles have metallic green or bronze hues. They are a very diverse species. In the top left image, you can see how this scarab spent the night, in a state of torpor. The layout is my own, which I created for this challenge. Again I used snowy, icy photos using the blend mode for the background paper.2 points

Your approach works well too and makes your elements not so shiny and when I need something to look goldy I often use the color gold that I have in my materials palette together with noise. However this time I wanted to follow the TUT and see what that brings, but I'm not sure that I want to use this technique very often.1 point

In 2023 I documented the places that I traveled to in order to attend scrapbooking retreats. Most of them were from 2007 to 2012. I was also going to day crops about every 2 to 3 months with some friends that live an hour away for several years from probably 2011 to 2016. There have been occasional crops since then but nothing regular. I believe both the template and the kit are retired. Also, in 2023, I decided to document all the states that I have traveled to in my life. I'm using the same template, but for the kits I am using various from the same designer, Kelly Bangs Creative at Sweet Shoppe has a series of kits called "50 States". I am using a paper from each state kit on the template. Notice Nevada is casino related and Indiana is the checkered flag for a race (home of Indy 500). I have version 2 of this started as I added another state last year and planning to add 5 to 7 more states this year.1 point

I finally figured out I had to add a gold texture file to the Corel documents folder. Then I called up a leaf from my stash and made it gold. Somehow, it looks more like the underside of the leaf compared to the original. Which setting needs adjustment? I just added the original leaf element so you can see it is smooth and not as veined as the gold variation looks. Don't know how that happened!1 point

Here's my yummy sammy. I like pickles and tomatoes(mine had "toes" - honest) so I had some on the side. Also, some tea in a demitasse cup with a teeny tiny cute little spoon. As I am practicing my levitation techniques today, my setting is floating in mid-air....going to be a challenge trying to cut my sammy (because I'm levitating too!). But I'm up for it. That's my story and I'm not sticking it, because I'll forget it in 10 minutes.🤪1 point

But when you guys slow down (perhaps) in retirement, wouldn't a wee dog be good company and a stimulus for walks?1 point

Now that I'm traveling, finding someone to keep her is a challenge. My cousin kept her last year when I went to Cape Cod, the first day she had Peyton (even though she has kept Peyton before when I was in the hospital 3 different times), Peyton pooped twice in the house. Later in the week, she peed on a bedspread. Both things she doesn't do at home. So she's not sure she wants to keep her when I take my 3 trips this year. I know I can take her to a kennel and there are a couple of good ones in town but she likes being with people. With Pepper/Paige, the kennel would put them in the same kennel so they were fine since they had each other. I have an idea to run by my cousin, but will wait awhile and not push her about keeping Peyton1 point

Hubby and I will be done too, after the our current two cats. I actually grew up with dogs and love them, but both of us were out of the house for many hours a day working. We thought it wouldn't be fair to a dog to leave it alone that long.1 point
-
Nope. I'm done with dogs when Peyton is gone! If she lives as long as Pepper, I'll be close to 78. I had a harder time training her at the age of 62 than I did Pepper at the age of 45. I'm just thankful that I've had these 4 wonderful dogs in my life.1 point

Looks like you have 25 more dogs yet to be in your life and since you like to have 4 sets, that's another 100 dogs you'll be having.1 point

I just love the clothes they wore. When I was a kid if my mother put a dress on me, I just cried. I was not a girly-girl.1 point

I have played competitive basketball in 25 states and Washington, DC. The colored states are where I have played. "Nothing but Net" and "Shooting" are from Creative Fabrica. I do not know where I found the stars or the street map. I included Iowa because I will play there in July at the National Senior Games. I think I will do another layout for pickleball. I have played pickleball in 10 states and Washington, DC.1 point

I'd only have one letter in my ABC of my dogs..."P" Patches (1964 to 1978) Pepper (2000 to 2015) Paige (2002 to 2015) Peyton (2017 to ????)1 point

These pictures, from my family album, have such a spring-like feel to them. I coloured in some of the blossoms on the tree and used mostly Anna Aspnes elements and materials. This time I used PSE, but couldn't figure out how to lift the corners of the photo. (Also, I wasn't able to upload it to here - resized - without using PSP. Don't know what that was all about???) I just love how elegantly the two women (my mother and my aunt) are dressed for the occasion. Not what I'd be wearing I don't think!1 point

I think now I want to do this for all my cats and dogs over the years! But that's quite a few!!!! Brandy is such a pretty girl.1 point
