  1. I just discovered something. I was working in the vector workshop again and making elements. I made a leaf which I may show later, it is where I discovered something. When you create a vector shape and are using more than one shape, that vector shape when you bring it into a new layout has all the elements that made it up actually separate. I had made a shield in the previous vector workshop that used 2 elements to make it. When I use it, I can make each element a different color as shown in this screenshot. How neat is that???

  3. i have been having a go at Digital Art painting in a free software called Krita and the Daisy/gerbra kind of flower is my first attempt. i am hoping i will improve enough to do some more artwork this way for my card making. .. wasn't sure whether i should post this one, however my hubby thought it was good enough and encouraged me to post. the frame is another parchment one purchased years ago and have bevelled it and used luminance legacy mode on the layer. sprigs and leaves are from a brush set used in previous cards. blue flowers are from another purchased kit i also got a few years ago .... Best wishes to everyone... Dawn.

  4. This week no photos of flowers or plants in the rain/sun, but of the yearly fair in the middle of the village. I wanted to go and take photos in the evening too because of all the lights that come with a fair, but that didn't happen. We had company and we were invited somewhere else for dinner. When I could have gone it was pouring with rain!

  5. Beautiful family. This is the only chance I'll get to see them up close. The information you give to us is always informative and interesting.

  6. Week 27. It is prooving difficult to single out a photo to showcase for this challenge. Never the less, I won't be short of photos to showcase down the road. North America sow badger with her 3 cubs. They are not closely related to the UK badger. American badgers breed between July and August. The embryos don't start to grown unitl December or February. They don't hibernate. I see their tracks in the snow throughout the long winter months. Also the UK badger is a social badger, whereas the American is solitary. Mother was keeing a close eye on me, and I wasn't going to antagonize her either, as they can be aggressive, espcially when felt threatened. Her set is impressive, just over half way up the drive, which also runs under the drive, with several entrances and exits on either side. A rare treat to see them out in daylight, as they are nocturnal.

  8. I actually used the names of the 2 daughters of my cousin instead of the daughter and granddaughter. For years it was Allison and Ashley... now it is harder to remember Allison and Caroline! Because usually it is Luke and Caroline in the layouts (Allison's 2 kids)! And, Caroline is that age where she is looking so much like her Mom and Aunt Ashley since she is now a teenager.

  9. As far as I know, it would be available in your Amazon. However, because it is in full color, apparently, it won't be available in Amazon for Japan and Australia, at least, for the printed version (Kindle should still be available everywhere).

  10. Thank your hubby for being the voice of reason...it's a good choice to post. This is outstanding. The flowers you made are beautiful. If this is your first attempt I can imagine the heights you will go. Isn't it great that you will be making your own elements that will make your beautiful cards that much more special and unique.

  15. These are screenshots from an Audubon Osprey cam. The background I duplicated and blurred the top one and then erased the part over the Osprey.(I could have done a better job of that) I then used the same circle to cut out the head shots from other screenshots so they would all be the same size and placed them all over the place. Font for name is French Script MT.

  16. Here is my Wild Cat Calendar for July 2024. The month and year are in Babilonia font. Everything else is in Agency. Someone posted this story and two photos on my Facebook feed a few weeks ago. I have posted the larger version in the Files section at the top of our Scrapbooking with Paintshop Pro group there.
