I started playing with the Sketch Challenge by making it into a template. Then I recalled Suzy talking about flowery papers, and I happened to be on Digitalscrapbooking.com for my 5 daily freebies so I downloaded floral papers. Then we had the Master Class in Borders, and I wanted to try the Torn Edge technique. Putting that all together, here is A Dream of Spring. The font is Hobo and I used the cass-curved photo and clip-to-it scripts.5 points

On the way home from The Ole Country Store we stopped at Messick's Farm Market. "Virginia is for lovers" is Virginia's slogan so you find these Love signs in lots of places. Messicks decorates theirs for the season. Of course, the quote at the top of the layout is a bit outdated but I like it and the sleep part fits me perfectly. I extracted the tree and train from the photo.2 points

I found the "Year in Review" freebie template in the store while looking for something else. I used it pretty much as is, just a background with some text and some coloring. For each month I choose a project from that month that I did for that month. Because there isn't space for the whole layouts I took a detail from each.2 points

Here is my take on the Sketch. The pictures of the Grand Canyon were taken by me on a trip we took in 2008. Winter hung on a long time that year and though it was in the later part of May, snow was coming in as we drove through the South Rim road. I really wanted to take pictures of the Colorado River at the bottom of the canyon and it really showed up as we drove further down the road and stopped off at one of the areas where you could get close to the edge. The colors used were from the palette obtained with the 2nd Palette Script. I also used the ClipToIt script. I made a pspimage template of the sketch. All the elements and papers are mine. The title font is Aryaduta.2 points

First of all, come and say HI once you register for this bootcamp. We want to know who else will be there, on our side to cheer everyone up. Everyone started as a beginner, so don't ever compare yourself to others. You will learn one tool at the time, one concept at the time and you will create one project at the time. Everyone will have different photos and possibly different supplies so every project will be different. Once the Bootcamp is started, on January 16th, 2023, you can post your projects in here. Remember to resize your images to about 600 pixels AND saving in jpg format, before uploading them to the gallery (check this tutorial to upload to the gallery) so it won't slow down the site when we have lots of your masterpieces. Try to follow the tutorials at least enough so that we can recognize what lesson you completed. Now, let's get ready ! If you missed the registration link or if you found this thread before I announce it (some people are very observant), HERE it is. Share it around if you want. Although this Bootcamp is mostly meant to help beginners, we won't exclude anyone for "excess experience". Some participants are back for a second (or third) round. You are always welcome. Remember that it will be the exact same tutorials so don't be surprised. I am sure you will now do something slightly different than the previous time. Since anyone can follow the whole Bootcamp using the trial version of PaintShop Pro, this is a perfect opportunity for anyone to give it a try and see how they like the program, so share with your friends who MIGHT consider using PaintShop Pro. The 7 tutorials will be spaced out over almost 2 weeks. This should make it easier for participants to follow without feeling stressed (it should never be stressful!).1 point

My take on this sketch challenge. As we don't have winter overhere in the Netherlands at the moment, it is way to warm for the time of the year, I started to dream about flowers. I used some papers about vintage gardening which I have for a long time and I don't remember where I got them from. My photo was in portret format so I rotated the sketch1 point

I am participating in a month long challenge at The Lily Pad and today was the first challenge that was a "Technique" challenge. It required blending a photo into a background using layers of paint, gesso, or watercolor (all items had to be from the store on the website). They wanted more than one mask layer and to use blending if possible. I used 7 mask layers (6 paint, 1 gesso). I'm thankful for the Mask workshop earlier this year and this challenge helped to reinforce what I learned.1 point

Since I already did a Year in Review, I took the new template and used it for a layout of my daughter, Laurey and her friend, Kim, when they visited the Harry Potter Forbidden Forest Experience in nearby Westchester County, NY, this past week. I used part of one of the photos as a background. The whole thing is very simple, but the photos speak for themselves!1 point

I guess I should also show what I do, when I am not recording videos! In summary: January: my husbnd showing off his new kitchen attire (he loves to cook and bake) February: an accident a few hundred meters from our house torn down an electric pole. Power failure for a few hours March: a little visit to the ER. Nothing serious although concerning for me April: yes, still getting some snow May: a little present sent by someone I have helped with her PSP. Lovely notebook! June: a visit in Ottawa, where I met 3 "colleagues" from Corel July: cookies for Xavier's 2nd birthday (no I didn't make the cookies) August: at my age, first encounter with... lice! September: upgrading the kitchen to add a backsplash but we also have to move one counter by about an inch! October: leaf raking with the grandson November: visit to Montreal and a tour of Illumi December: a little peek-a-boo cat made for Xavier's quiet book.1 point

Cass gave us a bargello sample pattern that perfectly matched the girls I used for this! Thanks, Carole. (The font is Argaka Fashion from Fontspace.)1 point
