Julie Magerka Posted September 28 Posted September 28 (edited) Sometimes I'm too tied up with deadlines and other projects. Then my time opens up and I can get into PSP again. It's so soothing and completely different from other things I work on. This time I did a l/o with Moo-Deng. Surely you've heard of her? She's on the news, in social media posts, and has her own web camera documenting her progress. I used a Katie Pertiet template (filmstrip) that I got for free, and modified it. Images of the baby girl come from online. I think there should be shadows on the three pix, but perhaps that should have been done before I added the pix. Didn't work after they were Clipped to It. Oh well..... Edited September 28 by Julie Magerka 3 6

Another option would be a drop shadow on the template to make the pics look like they are below it. 4

Julie Magerka Posted September 28 Posted September 28 The craze for Moo Deng has even grabbed marketers. The beauty store empire (Sephora) is using her image to sell blush! This could be just a silly North American thing. 1 4 1

Daniel Hess Posted September 29 Posted September 29 As September comes to a close, I've been playing around with making some balloon alphas. I've done two out of 10 colors (and fonts) for the project. 1 2 7
Anne Lamp Posted September 29 Posted September 29 The challenge this week in the Paint Shop Pro Maniacs is path and this is what I did. It took me a while to remember how to do that glow thing that I knew Cassel had showed us how to do. I went to the blog - tips and tutorials - and searched Glow and found the one about using layer styles. 6 5
Julie Magerka Posted September 29 Posted September 29 (edited) Likely the last layout for September. And another month passes by! Our fall days don't look like the photo yet. That will be later in October. Lately it's been damp, cloudy, but still very humid which keeps the temperatures in the 20s C. Old picture of my niece's daughter who is a lot more grown up now. Only things I made/did were background (blending papers), the ribbon, and outer frame with bevel. All other elements & brushwork from Janet Kemp (DS) or Erika Designs. I am simply too lazy or time-constrained to make many of my own elements. Especially when so much good stuff is available for free often. Edited October 1 by Julie Magerka forgot the ribbon 1 7

It is not always easy qua time or inspiration to do everything from scratch! 4

Your backgrounds are so fabulous. You are very good at the blended background. I will have to try the outer bevel. I havent used it before. 3 1

There are other times I have to use what I have collected over the years... Not to mention, I cannot even get closer to some of the designers' creations. 5
