I finally did the 1 2 3. The background pic and the Osprey pic are from the Hog Island Osprey nest. the frame if from this week's FreeDigitalMinikit. the folded ribbon is from CreativeFabrica the buttons are from (I don't have a clue) The folds in the background image were created from "Folded-paper-textures-collection-27671119" downloaded from C F.3 points

I've decided to use it as a standalone also. Can't fight it. It's an interesting app. Already did a sample out of it that I used to create a paper. Guess I was inspired by Donna.2 points

I have a separate folder for my 64 bit plugins. I copied the Abstract Curves plugin to that folder and directed my file locations to that folder, and it shows up under Effects plugins. Here is a sample of a background where I used Abstract Curves to make a background for a card that I am making for a new home party for my great niece. I thought the lines sort of echoed the slats in the house. You can easily change colors, and I wanted to match the house colors.2 points

Playing further. I got some freebies, I think from CF, they are from "T" and the picture for them showed them as metal outlines. Well, when I got them, they were just outlines! So, I've been playing around with 2 alpha creation tutorials that were here last month, but were old. Well, one was to create an alpha metallic, so I used it to apply to my freebie. This is the result.2 points

Carole - what is the advantage of having that as a plugin? I already have FilterForge and don't use it as often as I probably should - need to investigate it more, I guess. I have your script to create enamel elements and have been playing with the various scripts I have bought, not just on your birthday, but through the years. I'm going to post the best of the enamel elements I made. The ones I made with a flat element with no contours didn't come out except as a sort of tray, but they are nice too, so I guess I'll post them also.2 points

I'm making an effort to participate in more challenges and for a change everything is mine. I used cass's brad factory and filigrane scripts. It's my first 1-2-3 challenge so I hope what I did qualifies. Any and all suggestions are welcome.2 points

Thanks, Donna. I think I am satisfied with it as a standalone. It sure is an interesting app.1 point

Mary, I'm glad that I inspired you. I lost the license key when I changed computers, and I must tell you that their customer service was excellent. I received a reply within 24 hours, although the support is only for paid for versions. Try making a folder and pasting the 8BF file into it. Then direct your PSP file locations to that folder. That is what worked for me, although I have most of my plugins in a separate folder called "plugins64." It took me quite a while to figure it out. I used it with a shimmer paper with lines from Abstract Curvees for the background on the card that I am making, although my husband wants it to be a more colorful blue.1 point

Quick question. Will there be a sale at Creation Cassel for National Scrapbook Day? (May 6)1 point

If you are having issues, install it anyways (so you would be within the time limit) and we can figure out how to get it "visible" in PSP after. I don't know if it has anything to do with dll files or not. Maybe check this article about installing plugins?1 point

I couldnt make it work either. Got the Software Informer stuck on my screen. very annoying. I'm taking a hard pass on this one. I could see it when I was in PSP but it had an error and wouldnt work. If I decide I want it, I'll pay for it. There was also so other file it talked about in the readme that said I had to put it somewhere, I didnt really understand it and didnt know where to put it. I didnt know if was supposed to put into 2023 plug program files or a file I have that is a general one under Corel that says Plug ins. That's probably where I went wrong. came home from work with a headache, probably not the night to be trying to figure stuff out I dont understand.1 point

Carole, Abstract Curves installed into my Program Files and not into Paintshop 2022 or 2023. This happened quite a while ago after I purchased the program. Maybe you could just direct file locations to the Abstract Curves folder in the Program Files. I seem to remember having difficulty finding it until I finally pasted it into my separate 64 bit plugins folder and directed my file locations there.1 point

We have already had Mothering Sunday here in the UK back in March. However, like many people I get tangled up in Family History and have some photo's of my ancestors on Ancestry. I did something with my Mum's photo over this past weekend to make it a bit more interesting. I used one of Carole's corner brushes that i bought a few weeks ago, joined it up with straight lines, then used Carole's Bronzit script which makes a fab and unique frame befitting of my lovely mother. I also added a corner tube and used the Top Left Mirror Simple plugin to get it all aligned. I love how it turned out and is a tribute to my long deceased Mum who I miss more than ever. Love to all the Mothers here and all that can, have a fab and loving day.1 point

Thank you, Corrie! ❤️ I think we all have ups and downs, which also applies to creativity... Just mine lack of it is taking too long for my taste. ?... At least in the meantime, I was doing something I enjoyed very much: Scripting Course and Build-A-Kit Workshop. Good that Carole has something for everybody!1 point

Believe it or not, I still learn and discover things while "playing" with PSP. Even accidents can be happy at times!1 point

Here's a funny thing I noticed. No, I'm not into tatooing iguanas. I was moving my Stripe Ribbon around and passed over the photo and it looked like the iguana had a tattoo. I think this was a blend mode of "color", not the one I used in the layout. Now I can see what people are doing when they color animals or other objects, they are likely using blend modes.1 point

Interesting idea. I'd have to figure out a way to replicate the shape and texture, but definitely interesting.1 point

@Suzy Here is a tutorial for it: https://www.loom.com/share/b5054578e9b34fb188a1567760001ca2 You will see that it is super simple and you can create flowers with more petals or with different shapes too.1 point

I'm in the same boat, Mary, though I finally did come up with a "story" for Page 6. Now I have to put it together. Dealing with a sick cat today so I'm off to the vet. ?0 points
