It never ceases to amaze me, that over the many boot camps, over many years that participants produce such wonderful  diverse layouts. Not only from seasoned campus members but also from newbies. Each and every one unique and inspiring to one and all.

@Bee, you are doing marvelously. May I make an observation to your two layouts.  It isn't a criticism, possibly you may have  merely forgotten to add shadows to the birds and papers in both layouts. Also, try placing the bird on a branch above  the paper.

I am sorry I missed my daily feedback. But I will catch up today.

@Jeni Simpson It is interesting that you like the tabbed mode. I guess I am more of a scattered kind of user. Even my desk is scattered so untabbed is more familiar for me. Different styles! That looks like a delicious sandwich!

@Jacques I have never used the Adjust tab. I actually remove it from the loaded tabs. But it is great that you have it available for your own needs.

@Susan Ewart Maybe I should use the Auto-hide on the SOP and the History palette. I use them often when I do scripting, but not when I do scrapooking. Nineth time in this Bootcamp? I also lost track of how many times I hosted that Bootcamp! I love those mittens! I have fun looking at sandwiches and seeing who are the lefties 🙂 And if you are looking for an F-word (that sounds odd!), you can photograph your Fridge before it dies!

@Sharla Oh! Someone else who uses a light version of the workspace! For me, the dark interface hurt my eyes. Your sandwich is great. That must have been a lot of work to gather all those ingredients!

@Bee Kelly Glad that the solution was simple. As for your sandwich, it looks good. I hope you got some practice in using the basic manipulation tools. Your first project looks great. I think you might have either forgotten or hidden the shadow on the vertical strip of paper and on the sticker on the top left. Did you skip to the project 2 already? Be careful to add shadows to all the elements.

@Ann Seeber I see that it does save space to not have the thumbnails. Have you ever tried to have them but smaller? I love imagining you flipping the pages of that magazine.

@Donna Sillia It is ALWAYS a good idea to save your workspace. I love your sandwich. You made me realize that I had forgotten to "upgrade" the exercise file for this lesson. I guess it will be for the next Bootcamp!

@Anne Lamp I had never heard of a Reuben sandwich! That is a first for me.

@Corrie Kinkel You know that you are always welcome to check on this thread, even if you are not registered. We love you!

Keep your projects coming!

Day 3
This page uses Jessica Dunn's Classy kit. It is a kit I love, and I often choose pieces from it to create scrapbook pages.
Years ago we travelled up to Queenstown and took the TSS Earnslaw across the lake to Walter Peak, an isolated sheep station opposite Queenstown.
We are fortunate in that a Southland travel company gives those residing in Southland and Otago a 50% discount to take their tours. This happens at the end of each season, and I have often taken advantage of this. I used to work for that company, with the original owners who have since moved on, and I love to catch up with old friends from the 70's who still work for the company.
The homestead in my photo is the original homestead. A newer building houses a restaurant and is probably the main destination for many who travel across the Lake in the
TSS Earnslaw, a beautiful restored twin-screw steamer, travelling Lake Wakatipu since 1912.

The March blood moon eclipse art is an original linocut created by my artist daughter, Debbie Lennox. The rest of the layout uses pieces from a kit called SI-StarGazer. The title font is Bauhaus 93.

My project days 3 and 4.
The original photo is a black and white one that my father took and that I "colored."

Project 1 A typical September view in Northumberland (UK) as farmers get ready to harvest. The papers and elements are from the Jessica Dunne To Behold kit. I did add some confetti but it made the layout busy in a way I didn’t like so I took it out. The photo is one of mine.

Sharla, is the "autumn harvests" element from the kit or did you create it? It's really nice!

I really like it too. It's from the kit: "An Autumn to Behold Elements Kit". I enlarged it and added a bevel to it so it would stand out.

Day 3 - Honoring Chooch. The background is from a photoshop brush, the stripes are my own, the hearts are from a CF font with a style added from PSE. The dog bone scatters were made with the custom confetti script. I made 3 different tubes and combined them.

Are you asking about the picture with my grandson, Matthew? He is devasted; his FB post made me cry. In fact, the whole family is devastated. Chooch was a wonderful and loving dog. Part of his FB comment "For 11 years since the day I brought you home you were my constant companion and best friend. We swam in oceans, climb mountains and hiked through deserts. There will never be another dog or friend like you."

No, sorry, that's a typical phrase we always said to our dogs. They would always pick up on the emphasis on the Who's and get excited. 🐶

It makes my heart ache to think of this young guy so heartbroken over losing his "best bud". It takes some time to absorb the loss. Tears are good at such a time.

Now, we are seeing some scrapbook projects! It is so much fun to watch!

@Jeni Simpson You might consider adding a mat or a paper to include all that interesting information about this photo. It might differ from the tutorial, but you can always add that to the page after the Bootcamp, if you ever want to print or share that layout.

@Ann Seeber That is a great layout and you found some interesting supplies to showcase it.

@Anja Pelzer If you are creating "on your own", it would get more visibility if you post your projects in the What are you working on? thread.

@Jacques I am a little confused by your projects. Are they related to the Bootcamp lessons? Is that Project 1 with an angled strip instead of a vertical?

@Sharla Simple yet very elegant!

@Donna Sillia Did you resize the bones confetti somehow? They look somewhat distorted to me. Is it possible?

@Anne Lamp Those are really cute birds. Very appropriate for the theme!

Next: featuring an Adventure! 😉 Background paper from Jessica Dunn; some of the text is from the original poster and some is done in PSP with Gil Sans Bold. The Canada Geese are from National Geographic and the train poster is from Peter Gray's Posters & Magazine Covers page on Facebook. I collect any with trains.

@Ann Seeber That train looks quite similar to the Ocean, which runs between Halifax and Montreal. I took that train many times in my early years in New Brunswick. That dome car is great and I once sat there during a thunderstorm. It was spectacular!

@Jacques Hi. Did you try to post something that didn't display?

That's hilarious!  If I photograph it I'll have to clean it first!

Project 1

I used the Behold Autumn bundle that I had.  the layouts I just scrolled through are really awesome and inspiring.  I'm onto looking for some photo's for Project too and now I get to get a tea and watch my favorite TV show of the moment (Bootcamp TV! 😁  starring Carole....and that's all!).  Photo is mine as usual.  Probably will be much darker than it really is.  It's supposed to be as if lit by the moonlight.
