Cassel Posted January 1 Posted January 1 It is a new month and new projects. Show off what you are working on in January be it a scrapbook page, a collage, a tutorial, or anything else you want. We are curious and want to see, learn, and get inspired. These threads are quickly becoming a fantastic source of inspiration, support, and friendship. Keep them coming! Remember to size down your image to about 600x600 pixels and save it in .jpg format before posting it (if you are creating a double page, you can resize it to 1000 pixels in width if you don't want to post the pages separately). Here are a few guidelines for everyone: when you post a project, give as much information on your sources or techniques used. It will help others who are curious and would like to do the same. if someone uses something that you like on their page, ask where they got it. Sometimes, you can go get it too and it will be better quality than trying to extract it (as it would have been resized to post in the forum anyway). if it is something that they did from scratch, ask how they did it. It would be so helpful to everyone! if you like a photo and would like to “play with it”, ALWAYS ask permission. Sometimes, there are some limitations and the person is not allowed to let others use it. Don’t get them in trouble. Usually, people are happy to say yes (if they can) when you ask politely. And if you get permission, you might get a better-quality image than the resized image anyway. 1
Jacques Posted January 1 Posted January 1 I will continue to rock, take pictures of my grandson, and more 8
Ann Seeber Posted January 1 Posted January 1 Here is my January Wild Cat Calendar featuring the Arabian Leopard. The posting on the Facebook page is full size for those who wish to print it. 8

Always wondering which one will be next. 🙂 Edited January 3 by Cristina 5 1
Mary Solaas Posted January 3 Posted January 3 Playing again with my multi-layer mask. The font is Centaur with an inner bevel. I put a light shadow in back of the merged mask group. 8
Ann Seeber Posted January 4 Posted January 4 (edited) Looking through the past year and I found this Year in Review, so I created one for 2024, showcasing whatever PSP work I liked the most for each month. I was really hesitant looking over the Text Workshop because I liked them all! I did settle on the one showcasing the West Point Black Knights football. That's a new topic for me to follow on the web and cheer the team on. It is the only college in Orange County, NY with a competitive football team and they had a great year with only 2 losses in 14 games! The field maneuvers are quite spectacular before the games. All the layouts are pretty self-explanatory but just ask if you need more info. The only odd one is April, to the left of the 0, which was my attempt to showcase the total eclipse, which was a big deal that month. The background is an overlay from Sheila Reid and the font for the year is Algerian. Edited January 4 by Ann Seeber 2 7
Bonnie Ballentine Posted January 4 Posted January 4 I love the Year In Review layouts. You got me thinking, Ann. Great layout. Love the background paper! 6 1

Corrie Kinkel Posted January 5 Posted January 5 Love your idea Ann and if I'm correct Carole had some year in review templates, again more for my to do list, because I liked the ones we did before. I haven't nearly enough time to do all🥲 5 1
Cristina Posted January 6 Posted January 6 (edited) Carole, I’ve just watched the replay of the "Framing Anything“ Masterclass, and I want to say that your dedication, expertise, and creativity are the main reasons I am here. As I have mentioned, PSP will continue to be my go-to program. However, no matter which other program we are going to use simultaneously, the Campus will continue to be the right place for me to expand my creativity. Edited January 6 by Cristina 3 5

All my other programs complement my PSP. Many of the techniques used in PSP can be used in my other programs. 4
Donna Sillia Posted January 7 Posted January 7 I had to try out my new pattern script from Carole, and I love it. The flower is from Adobe Express and was in black. I locked the layer and painted it lavender. The background is a texture from Carole called cass-crystal. 6

Julie Magerka Posted January 7 Posted January 7 (edited) I can't yet get into the new challenges (fair, alphabet pix) although I've tried several layouts which were rejected. But I did have this photo (from a nature FB page) that really drew my eye. I'm trying to learn to work without frames for some photos using the masks/blending/brushes techniques of Anna Aspnes, a style I admire. Enjoyed doing it. Sometimes you gotta go with what works and hope it will stimulate more energy for creating pages. Fonts are Tuce and Brushy Handwriting. Everything from aA stash. I meant that I'm stuck because of a mindset, not b/c of any files. The rejection of the layouts was by me, not the Campus. When I have to "force" a layout, I find I'm not very happy with it. But I'm still working on them and will post when I feel OK with them. Edited January 8 by Julie Magerka 4

This is my normal. I often have to leave them for several days and come back later...or not at all. It takes me some time to warm up creatively too. 5
Susan Ewart Posted January 8 Posted January 8 (edited) On a side note, I was catching up on emails when i happened across a FF email about supporting fonts (FF 14 - I dont have it). It linked to Google fonts. Here's a snippet of a section. I did download some other ones (free) but thought there is some interesting characters in these "Noto" fonts (it even has it's own catagory) that could be used as designs on papers. And being a vector they are scalable. This is just a tiny snippet of some really interesting looking languages. I only downloaded the Noto Music but havent tried it yet. Interesting but I do hope, when you use it and I suppose you don't know what your are writing, you don't write a curse or use bad language 🤣 1 3

I checked my emails as well and I got the same from FF. I too haven't FF 14 but I took a look at the Google fonts they suggested and there very nice ones in a very long list. 1

I havent really had a good look around. I'll be really careful only to use 1 or 2 characters from different sets for patterns on paper. But, YIKES! I could start an international incident! 1 4
