It is a new month and new projects.

Show off what you are working on in November be it a scrapbook page, a collage, a tutorial, or anything else you want.

We are curious and want to see, learn, and get inspired.

These threads are quickly becoming a fantastic source of inspiration, support, and friendship. Keep them coming!

Remember to size down your image to about 600x600 pixels and save it in .jpg format before posting it (if you are creating a double page, you can resize it to 1000 pixels in width if you don't want to post the pages separately).

Here are a few guidelines for everyone:

  • when you post a project, give as much information on your sources or techniques used. It will help others who are curious and would like to do the same.
  • if someone uses something that you like on their page, ask where they got it. Sometimes, you can go get it too and it will be better quality than trying to extract it (as it would have been resized to post in the forum anyway).
  • if it is something that they did from scratch, ask how they did it. It would be so helpful to everyone!
  • if you like a photo and would like to “play with it”, ALWAYS ask permission. Sometimes, there are some limitations and the person is not allowed to let others use it. Don’t get them in trouble. Usually, people are happy to say yes (if they can) when you ask politely. And if you get permission, you might get a better-quality image than the resized image anyway.

Happy December from the Nashville Zoo. It's Sumatran Tiger Time! The new, red logo (upper left) is for Critically Endangered species. Nashville is very active with a breeding program. My granddaughter, Jackie Thorpe, is a zookeeper there.

Ann, you have created a lovely calendar about those beautiful animals all year round, and December is no different. 🙂

--------------------------------------------------------

I haven't had much time to work with PSP this month, and the little I am doing is finishing Lesson 7 of the Text Workshop and creating things for our Christmas.

But I love to come by here and see what everybody is doing!

The challenge on PSP maniacs is lens flare and I made this for that sight and figured I might as well post it here too.

The layouts I've worked on recently have been mostly personal ones for birthdays and anniversaries, and I feel most of them are not that suitable to post. But I kind of like this one for an anniversary, a 65th no less!

The background is an image of a canal in Venice blended with an Anna Aspnes transfer and some other stuff thrown in. The anniversary couple have been extracted. They had dinner at an Italian restaurant and used their mural wall as background, so I replaced it.

I hope places other than just Nashville are working at keeping these beauties alive and breeding.

That's the mission of any accredited zoo but I focus on Nashville since my granddaughter was welcomed into their program. I'm learning a lot! They are beauties, I agree!

Julie, this is a lovely layout, and I am sure the couple will be delighted to receive it.   I love this kind of layout, with transfers, overlays, and the "other stuff" that was thrown in!

This is the place card I created for this year.    I started creating place cards for fun in 2014 for our Christmas dinner and have been doing it ever since.

Papers and elements are from different DiHiller's Christmas freebies.

2 uur geleden zei Jacques:

Cristina nice idea to make place cards for the Xmas dinner, I hope your family/guests like them too and have kept them; they get a whole collection this way!

Another thing I do and that is important to me is after watching a video of "Cassel"

I redo all the steps with my own images (as much as possible),

translating into French and adding screenshots of the steps.

Even if the video is less than 60 minutes, I can take 2@3 days to make my summary

(included a partial copy of "PaintShop Christmas 8" in French of course :))

Link available until 2025-01-31

We are having a family party today to celebrate the engagement of my grandson, Brad and his sweetheart, Livia. I made a little layout for them. I feel I need some instruction in modifying masks. This one from Cassel, is too much on the right side but whatever I did to it made it worse, so I left it alone.
