Dan Greenwood Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago My lesson 6. Revisited my earlier "cruising" theme. I found I had a gold rope picture tube and I just used Arial Rounded MT Bold for the letters. 2 7
fiona cook Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Day 6 I chose the Picture Tube called River Rocks and ran the script 3 times to give a piled up effect of the rocks. On one of the stroked layers I added a drop shadow 5:5:87:5 for slight effect. I don't know why but I am having trouble highlighting my text vector layer to be able to change attributes ie if I wanted to change the font. 2 5

gwen jewitt Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Day 6 I used the font Segoe UI Black for the title and Sego variable text light for the writing at the bottom, trying to incorporate what I have learned from the previous 5 days. The brick castle is a shape I added a colour and a brick texture to it and gave it a dropped shadow. The photo was taken on a lovely sunny but windy day in September 2023. The sign was also a photo I took which gave information about this particular part of Hadrians Wall. 3 3
Donna Sillia Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Day 5 - The photo is from my daughter's last visit to Las Vegas. Some of the backgrounds are mine modified with FF and some are straight from FF patterns. The font is from CF and called "Banner." The circle elements are from Adobe Express AI. Since the photo was taken in LV, I felt as if it deserved a "carnival" atmosphere. 5 1

I'm going to consider getting a PC again.😏 I'm on a pc in vista started in the X12 which worked perfectly 👌 At one time I had 2 versions of PSP on a laptop running Win7. They even worked when it was upgraded to Win10 and it wasn't as powerful as my desktop I had at the time. And, I added a newer version of PSP at that time as well (X4, X7 and X8) 2

Make sure click the arrow on the side of the layer to show the object(s), then select the object, then select the text tool. Should be able to click at beginning of your text to display the blinking cursor and then drag/highlight the text. Once highlighted, change the font, font size, fill color, etc.. Cindy Sheets Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago As usual, I am behind. While I am not creating actual projects with this workshop, I am doing the exercises and learning techniques to use in my cards next year. I am slowly unpacking my office and getting supplies where I can use them (the whole house is unpainted and that has to be done before I can really put things away). I am planning my schedule for next year so that I can give cards again. Can someone send me the link again for day 1 so I can see how to fill with the confetti again? Day 2 1 2
Teri Cleaveland Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I used the same layout I used yesterday. I did pretty much what Carole did, but I did add a slight inner bevel when I finished which I really like. Now when I can get the script installed for lesson 6, maybe I can get caught up! 1 4

Ann Seeber Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago (edited) Here is my Lesson 6 featuring the only local college football, the Army Black Knights at West Point Military Academy. I've never been there but I hear it is beautiful, and the football team is doing very well this season (surprise! lol) and is moving up in ranks so it might earn a bowl game yet. The traditional Army/Navy game has yet to be played, and that always generates a lot of excitement. The title font is Stencil. The top photo is of the campus; the right is the marching band and the bottom is Mitchie Stadium. Edited 4 hours ago by Ann Seeber identify font 2 3
Donna Sillia Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Day 6 - A photo of my youngest grandson fishing off the pier in Myrtle Beach. The fish scales are from FF, the boards are from my own photo. The embossed fish are from a CF dingbat. The fishing rod is AI, and the fish is from FF. The font is called "Aquarium" from CF. 2 3

I have added it to another project but just need to fuzz their faces out before sharing. Font: Humnst777 Blk BT. Pink letters with Hatch Fine texture and green with Grain Long. In Layer Styles I added the bevel. I tried to use the repeat function when applying the texture to the letters but it didn't work. Just opened up a new canvas. Worth a try I guess. LOVE those colors! 2

Do you know that you can tweak the path even after the text is on it? No I didn't. I tried just moving the whole thing but then it didn't match the tree line. Thank you for mentioning that, it's just what would work "after the fact" and saves doing it all over again. 2

Susan Ewart Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago (edited) Lesson 5 has arrived! hahaha, it's rhyming day. I hope you'll stay...and see how I did this. Rhyming aside. Photo is mine, taken on a grey background then I used a paper from Riley B Graphics (Creative Fabrica) and used a blend mode. Then a mask on the paper and brought out some of the whites of the flowers a bit more. I used the text effect as shown in the video and then turned to raster so I could scuff it up more with the eraser tool. Papers are from Riley B Graphics (CF) and DigitalScrapbook (Gina Jones, Janet Kemp, Catherine blan-230580-neutral foliage - description 'cause I don't know her last name) Elements are from C.F. (Key top left of larger pink paper - cutout used, element hidden) and Ornament (lower right on larger pink paper, very light, used a blend mode, lowered opacity) Elements from DigitalScrapbook: Rose, greenery, floral flair. Font ( from CF likely) is Lilita One Edited 1 hour ago by Susan Ewart 3 2
Susan Ewart Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) Carole, Do you know what I've done to get this weird shadow on my image. There are no layers past the bottom layer showing. PSP got stuck on and would not close so I had to do the "end task" thing. I cant find any layer that is doing what this is doing. I also lost the icons at the bottom and the top of the layers palette. ugh. what have I done? Edited 1 hour ago by Susan Ewart 1 1

It is not often, but since you have also lost the icons, it looks like PSP went wonky. You might have to reset your workspace. You have saved a custom workspace, haven't you? 2
