Harmony Birch Posted September 20, 2022 Posted September 20, 2022 Ok I am totally confused the email talks about changing the background looking at the video to see how we can add texture but the video is about changing the month Anyhow using what I know to change the background here is one of the pages I am working on
Lynda DiGregor Posted September 20, 2022 Posted September 20, 2022 I decided to do a travel calendar. I'm sure there will be changes but here are my first efforts.
Cassel Posted September 20, 2022 Author Posted September 20, 2022 Welcome to everyone who has at least posted something in this thread: Susan, Ann, Anne, Marie-Claire, Rene, Corrie, Cindy, Gramie, Bonnie, Pirkko, Cristina, Euka, Lynda, Anita, Monique, Linda, Lynn, James, Michele, Fiona, Sue, AprilDawn, Harmony and a newcomer, Shirl. Sue (#83155), this is a great start. I know you will make some changes as the workshop progresses. Will we still see more wildlife? (#83200) Since you will have all the templates at the end, you will be able to create more and different calendars if you want! Pirkko (#83169), it is ok to post unfinished projects if you want. It is up to you. Some people love to share as they go, some prefer to show the end result. (#83190), are those your own photos? They look fun! Cindy (#83174), I know you will give your 100%, as you always do! Anita (#83180), any idea of the theme for your calendar? Susan (#83181), we'll be happy to see your projects when you come back. Ann (#83186), what will be the theme? Where do you bring up for a visit? (#83229) Yes, work in progress is what we can expect. And changing your mind too! Cristina (#83195), those images are so cute and they will make for a fun calendar. Glad you like the new format. It is different than previous years. Corrie (#83230), it is great that this calendar will have a special meaning to the recipients! Anne (#83240), flowers are always a great theme for a calendar so we feel like summer is all year-round! Harmony (#83253), you are correct. I made a mistake. I used the "email template" from last year, and then, the second lesson was about the background. Don't worry. Even if it is not today, it will be tomorrow! Lynda (#83258), are those all places you visited?

Cassel Posted September 21, 2022 Author Posted September 21, 2022 Cindy, it might be because of your photo. Check under Image > Increase color depth
Susan Ewart Posted September 21, 2022 Posted September 21, 2022 Holy Wow Everyone! Fabulous work. Here's a start on my January and February. I kept wanting to sharpen the images more, but I'm trying to do an ethereal dreamy flower calendar. I had to go back and un-sharpen them. I usually like really crisp sharp photos. And I'm trying to work out of my comfort zone to promote some artistic growth. You will see these flowers in different set ups most likely. The font might change too. I have no idea what I'll do for a background at this point. Good Luck Corrie! Hope all goes smoothly with your surgery. Sending healing thoughts your way.
Susan Ewart Posted September 21, 2022 Posted September 21, 2022 Ann, you nailed the background for February.
Anita Wyatt Posted September 21, 2022 Posted September 21, 2022 Here is my Calendar so far for January. My theme for this calendar will be Castles and Fortresses in Germany. I used a background from Digital Scrapbooking and the Samantha Upright font. Found out that the drop shadow works a bit differently in PSP 2023. When placing the shadow on a new layer it shows that it is linked.
Sue Thomas Posted September 21, 2022 Posted September 21, 2022 Thank you Carole, I will be using a varied selection of wildlife photos when I get back. A few years back I created an insect macro calendar using a similar layout to this one, without masks. It was based on the webinar you did for Corel. The photos were very large which meant they filled the whole page. Perfect for what I wanted. It's going to be interesting to see how the pages progress, from start to finish. With no doubt some completely changing direction.
AprilDawn Posted September 21, 2022 Posted September 21, 2022 Hello Cindy, Thank you for your greeting. .. like you i know what it is like to have health issues all the time. I hope you find joy in each day doing something that makes your heart happy. Thank you Cristina.... not sure all the worries have gone, however the heaviness in my thoughts has lifted. Hope you are keeping well my friend. Hello Corrie, hoping all goes well for you in your surgery and then recovery. Dawn.
Ann Seeber Posted September 21, 2022 Posted September 21, 2022 Carole: You asked: "Ann (#83186), what will be the theme? Where do you bring up for a visit?" The photos are from my daughters' trip to Washington, DC, last week. (#83156)
Lynda DiGregor Posted September 21, 2022 Posted September 21, 2022 Ann, I love your memorial theme to our fighting men and women. Job well done. Lynda
Lynda DiGregor Posted September 21, 2022 Posted September 21, 2022 Carole, To answer your question, yes all places we've been since retirement and some before. All the photos are mine. We got home from Nevada around November of last year and have not ventured out due to the corona virus but we will be on the road again in the near future. Lynda
Ann Seeber Posted September 21, 2022 Posted September 21, 2022 Thanks for your kind words, Lynda. Both my husbands served in Korea after the conflict. My daughters were impressed with the memorial. There will be other sites from DC in coming calendar pages. I already changed April from Lincoln because I found another KWVM photo that I forgot about.
Gerry Landreth Posted September 21, 2022 Posted September 21, 2022 Here are a couple of my works in progress. The pictures are of the people who have a birthday that month. Corrie - Good luck with the surgery tomorrow. You will be uncomfortable at first, but each day gets better. I look forward to seeing you back in action soon.
Cristina Posted September 21, 2022 Posted September 21, 2022 Here is the March page. I used a freebie overlay from Design Cuts. The font is Soffia Slant.
Cristina Posted September 21, 2022 Posted September 21, 2022 Dawn, I am sending my best wishes and hoping you feel better soon, my friend. I'd love to see your pages!
Lynda DiGregor Posted September 21, 2022 Posted September 21, 2022 Ann Looking forward to seeing more of your memorials Lynda
Lynda DiGregor Posted September 21, 2022 Posted September 21, 2022 Anita, Love that photo you used and your BG choice. Looking forward to seeing more of Germany. It's a place I haven't been yet. Love to know the name of the castle. Lynda
Lynda DiGregor Posted September 21, 2022 Posted September 21, 2022 This is May and June. I decided to add days to the calendar as I'm lost without them. The BG on May is an aerial photo of San Antonio (not mine) and the BG on June is a photo of part of the Biosphere. The photo is mine.
Lynda DiGregor Posted September 21, 2022 Posted September 21, 2022 Sue, I like how you were able to use the background to frame the grouse. Very clever and it looks great. I like the birds too. Lynda
Lynda DiGregor Posted September 21, 2022 Posted September 21, 2022 Corrie, Will be thinking of you and wishing you the best for tomorrow. I'm sure all will be well. Take care of yourself and give time to heal. Lynda
Lynda DiGregor Posted September 21, 2022 Posted September 21, 2022 Decided to make another change. I put the days and dates together and made the lines longer to give more space to write stuff.
MoniqueN. Posted September 21, 2022 Posted September 21, 2022 Wow, already wonderful calenders are shown(sp?) here! I'm experimenting a bit over here, as you can see. :) Maybe it's faster to make masks and the boxes myself :D
