  1. LESSON SIX - A birthday card for my step-great grand Sonya Ann, for June 26. She and Magic are both 4 in June. Her grandmother is my step-daughter, Beth, and her mother is my step- granddaughter, Alycia. I've been playing with this all day and now forget all the steps I took. Chalk it up to my senior moment! 😜 The font for the names is Dingo Nursery. I had fun with all the colors! The Happy Birthday is clipart as is the cake and numeral 4. I used a cass-floppy bow and applied the blinds texture effect to the ribbons.
  2. Week Twenty One - a face only a mother could love 😉 My buddy Ed Frampton sent this as a joke, but I couldn't resist putting it up on the showcase.
  3. No, not at all. It's more like this:
  4. Fiona, if you hadn't said they were alpacas I wouldn't have known at all! LOL
  5. Getting ready for great-grandson, Jonah's First Birthday. He is the son of my granddaughter, Ilana, and brother to Logan. My daughter Laurey is grandma. I used a collection in my clipart from Design Bundles-Watercolor Forest Friends. The font is Baby Olivia.
  6. My get-well card is a bit colorful. It'll wake my friend, Ginny, up -- she's lounging around dealing with a cracked pelvis. 🧐 The flowers are from a Merisa Lerin Birthday Kit and the font is Valentina.
  7. @kasany I had the same issue with a white card where the edges didn't stand out here in the forum. I pulled it back and added a slightly larger bottom layer and added a faint shadow. That helped! I'll show it here again...
  8. Sending good vibes, Michele! Hopefully, you'll have a positive outcome.
  9. @Cassel My cards are all sent digitally via Messenger so I wouldn't have need of an "inside."
  10. My Lesson Two - A birthday card for my step-daughter, Beth Seeber-Wilson. She'll be 57 this year, the youngest of my 3 girls. She's the grandmother of Sonya, whose birthday is also coming in June. I'm having a bit of fun with Beth, as you can see... 😉

  12. Thank you, Wendy. I'm afraid I've made Magic rather in-famous in these rooms. 😉 It's hard to pass up her photos.
  13. Beautiful, Wendy! Way to go!!
  14. Here is my first greeting card, a birthday card for my great granddaughter, Magic. Her 4th birthday is June 4. It appears I have 4 more birthdays coming up in June so this workshop will come in handy! The birthday coin is from Cassel.
  15. Nice, Minka and it's so nice to see you here!
  16. Yes, this is my go-to technique. Promoted layers are cool but can get confusing for me.
  17. I was rather surprised to meet the crested flycatcher for the first time! A "lifer" for me. The sparrows hop around under my feeders all the time. I grouped all the rectangles and squares, doubling up on some, to create the two photo areas. I used the cass-curved photo script. The dashed lines I colored white and used the inner bevel and a shadow. I pulled some pieces from Melissa Lerin's Boozy Wine kit, using the papers as background and to add a dash of color to the coiled cord, which I doubled and wove through the titles (thanks for the tip, Sue!) I also got the tape strips from the kit and colorized them. The titles are from the script cass-stacked-wooden-alpha using Copperplate Gothic as the base. This script is a lot of fun but also a lot of work! I intend to go ahead and create a full set of alphabets from it in all the color choices. They will be easier to manipulate in the future. I used the #3 Date Stamp script with the Ink Free font. The flight of birds top right are marked digidebdesigns_birds1 in my stash. I've been playing with this for two days with a combo of fun and a little frustration!
  18. I have an entire letterpress alpha and the letterboard is included with the group. If there's a script, I don't have it, though it does say it's a sample. The board I have is plain, without the raised borders. Here's the preview...
  19. P52-Week 20 is coming up this weekend. Here's one of my visitors that Merlin identified as an Eastern Towhee from its song. Pretty colors on a tiny bird.
  20. It's been two years since Annie Tobin left us. As she would say: "Thanks for takin' a peek!" (The colorful background and alpha are her own designs. The frame is a cass-decorative stitches frame) ❤️
