Well, it was a bit of a saga, but I was happy in the end. I started Saturday placing an order online for my 13 page calendar with coil binding at the top on high gloss paper. After sending the files through, on Sunday, I think it was Susan who mentioned having to lighten them up, and I smacked my forehead and said: Self! Of course, they have to be lightened! I always lighten a print job at home but forgot for Staples! So I called and after a long wait found it was already printed and yes, it was too dark. So, consulting with the nice customer service, my order was cancelled, and I was advised to adjust the files myself and place a totally new order. No charge! So, I did that on Sunday, and it said it would be ready to pick up (only 10 minutes away) Monday at 8:30pm. Instead, I waited until Tuesday noon and went to the store. It wasn't even printed yet! While I waited it was printed and came out all askew, upside down and backwards. 😜 So, they did it again and got it right this time. I'm really pleased with the color quality. I had them add a coil binding at the top so each page could be totally flipped. Total cost was $22 and change. They are really rushed off their feet but very kind. 😊

I just got my print job back from Staples. The camera flash left a bit of a glare. This is my completed calendar from the workshop which is a gift for granddaughter Jackie and her husband, Corey. I'm also including a copy of the book The No 1 Ladies Detective Agency by Alexander McCall Smith as a companion to the calendar as it inspired me in my research about Botswana. Jackie is a zookeeper and animals from all over the world are her passion. (The apple didn't fall far from the tree; just skipped a generation! 😉 )

I'm just back from picking up my Calendar print job from Staples. I'm very pleased with it. The reproduction is outstanding and the price was under $25.00.It is for Jackie and Corey for Christmas and I'm going to add a paperback copy of the No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency book by Alexander McCall Smith as that is how I got hooked on Botswana. Here's a photo of the calendar hanging on my wall.

I use MS One Note, which comes with the MS Office package.

Wonderful album, Mary. This was a labor of love! ❤️ Will you get it printed? I found my local Staples office supply store will print my 13-page calendar for under $25. I pick it up tomorrow! I'll report back on the quality. They tried on Sunday, but it was too dark, and I rejected it. Luckily, I had withheld payment until I was satisfied.

My own choice would be the first version. Nice job, Julian.

I understand the manufacturers add a lubricant that is patented so it can't be used by the generic companies. That prevents the clogging.

No, Mary, I said that, not Rene. And I am happy with the controls in PSP.

My Epson is just a personal size. I think the largest would be 8.5x14. I use the print option in PSP which seems to work well. I always struggle with the print being too dark, which I can adjust, so I'm pleased with the quality. It's binding my work into a calendar this time that has me looking to outsource. I've never had a clog.

Have found Epson printers to be very reliable if I stick to Epsom ink. My tech told me the generic inks are missing an ingredient to keep everything smooth. I always print my monthly Wild Cat calendars just for my own refrigerator. I do want better quality for this Christmas gift.

Finished up December, so I can now work out the print job. Thanks to everyone for their wonderful advice! I'm also posting a separate image with the text which is long and small on the original and unreadable in this reduced version.

I'll look into that, Rene. Thank you!

They're not on Facebook yet. I might not because Jackie is on my Friends list and I don't want her to see them prematurely. I can send them to you on Messenger, if that would help. Have you ever had any of your work printed?

I need advice! For the first time (this is my 3rd calendar class) I need to get it printed as a Christmas gift. I always see calendars that open up from the center and can be pinned to the wall. And they are bound in the center. I have two now, one is stitched and the other has wire coil. This class has produced 13 pages @ 8 inches x 10.5 inches. So what do I do now and where is a good place to get it printed. It's for my granddaughter, Jackie, who lives nearby. I only have one more page to finish, for December. Here are July thru November finished.

It was in a bounding box and I forgot to rasterize it. It was there on the .pspimage, just not on the .jpg. The platform initially rejected it as too large so I had gone back and increased the compression from 22 to 72. SQUEEZE time! LOL

Thank you, Sue, I noticed that right away and made an executive decision to allow the font to overlap on some of them. As you say, we really do know the obscured titles.

Thanks, Susan. It's intended for my granddaughter, Jackie, the zookeeper. Here she is showing me the new Caracal kittens.

No, I didn't get any notification about the Calendar Script. The script is dated 08/25/2023 in my 2022 Corel PSP docs.

@Cassel The YouTube video had me I going to the store, looking for the calendar script and it told me I already had it. I haven't used it yet so now I'm wondering if my version needs to be updated somehow?

Oh, dear, so sorry to read this. Hang in there, Rene, we're all rooting for you. I wouldn't worry about decorating right now and just concentrate on resting and getting better. Hugs to you!

Nice job, Monique. These are all beautiful!

My offering for the Cold challenge. Warwick Drive-In snowed in in 2017. I used the cass-framed-mask3, my photo and the embellishments and background paper from my Iceland mega kit. It has really come in handy for anything wintery.
