  1. I guess the prevailing sport would be ice sculptures rather than snowmen. β›„That kind of snow doesn't pack satisfactorily for snowballs, either! πŸ˜‰
  2. Happy March! I feel we're now one step closer to Spring! 🌷 Here is my Wild Cat Calendar for March featuring The Mountain Lion, aka Cougar or Puma. I got the animal details from activecat.com. I will put a full-sized version on Facebook for printing as an 8.5"x11" decoration for our refrigerator doors. πŸ˜‰
  3. Wow, that is a beautiful photo, Sue. That snow is so clear I can feel the cold from it! πŸ˜‰ Funny, I'm preparing my own Week Nine and it also features fallen leaves but with a little taste of Spring.
  4. I can start with my current kitties: Adam, my black "Hauspanther" and Eve, my "Tuxie" (Tuxedo cat). Adam was adopted from the Warwick (NY) Animal Shelter after we lost Miss Kitty, who was a dark "Tortie", at the age of 20. Adam was already 2 years old when adopted and had spent his whole life in the shelter. We kept his name as he knew it and answered to it. They say black cats are always the last to be adopted, probably due to myth and prejudice. He chose me as I walked into their cattery, reaching out a paw from his perch on a tall cat tower. Eve was adopted 2 years later at the age of one from the West Milford (NJ) Animal Shelter. She had been picked up as a pregnant stray, had two kittens at the shelter, and was waiting for her "forever home." Eve was delighted to meet Adam, but he was not all that enthusiastic. To him, she was an annoying little sister! There was no fighting, but he avoided her, if possible. Black cats are usually very mellow personalities whereas, Tuxies are feisty. He managed to make her cool her enthusiasm by planting a paw on her head occasionally. πŸ˜† Adam was initially brought to the shelter with a sister, named Eve. They were tiny kittens, just weaned. Eve was soon adopted but Adam languished. When we added the Tuxie to our family, we were sort of forced to rename her "Eve" to match him; plus her shelter name was not appropriate. They called her Mango. (Mango is actually a cartoon cat that is orange.) And she didn't respond to it as her name so "Eve" she became. I almost forgot the origin of his name. Adam and his sister were born in Pine Island, NY, and the local "mountains" were dubbed "Adam & Eve." They were really no more than hills.
  5. Ah, I used the new template, also. Here is grandson, Tyler-John (28), just back from his first Caribbean vacation in Costa Rica all by himself! (He says he hasn't had time to develop any romantic relationships yet. πŸ˜‰) I used the cass-datestamp9. The toucan bird is from a kit "Froot Loops." (Does he qualify for the Rainbow Challenge?) The background photo is from Alamy_MHKT6M.
  6. I am an only child, also, and only learned about my parents' previous marriages when I was 12 or so. My first question to them was "do I have any brothers or sisters"? My parents started late having children and none of their friends had any my age. I was so happy to go to school and find friends! My dad worked for the Erie Railroad. When I had my daughter, Debbie, I vowed she's not be an "only" and had Laurey 19 months later. πŸ‘ΆπŸ‘Ά This layout is from Aug 2020. I used the kit: Lady Bug Hugs and the title font is Snap ITC.
  7. Wow! Beautiful layout, Bonnie! ❀️
  8. Susan, that's a good question and the answer is I don't know. Possibly one of my daughters has it or it may have been left behind at the house in Sussex County, NJ, where they grew up. Their father passed away in 1992 and their stepmother had a wood stove fire which ended up with the house condemned. Now you have me wondering so I'll make a point of asking. That etching was done just last year so maybe... Thanks for the memory boost!
  9. Thank you, Marie-Claire! You're not late, I celebrate all month anyway. πŸ˜‰πŸ˜Š
  10. Here's my childhood toy, a wooden red sled built by my grandfather, Emil Hagquist, who emigrated here from Finland in the early 1900s. I was born the year WWII started and there were no commercial children's sleds to be found in the stores as all the manufacturing was devoted to the war effort. This is an etching created by my daughter, Debbie Lennox, who actually played with this sled. Note, there is no steering mechanism; you had to drag your toes to steer. πŸ˜‰
  11. Looking through them, I tried the one called Flag and was surprised to get a wavy rectangle which did look like a flag. Also, the Grayscale Border gave me a wide grayscale border around my image, similar to what was on my wedding layout for the Masks Workshop. You'd have to add a frame, also. There's really a lot there that I haven't tried yet.
  12. I'd appreciate a comprehensive guide to using scripts including the Corel ones that come with PSP.
  13. Michele, this is really clever. Is it for the Divas?
  14. Beautiful layout, Bina. I do wish I could read that language...
  15. Yeah, Slippers is wrong; the correct name is Teddy. And Kaleidoscope is the wrong answer for "What tool/command seems to be getting addictive to play with?" Maybe the correct one was "All of the above."
  16. I had to go back and find the Pop Quiz as I had missed it the first time around. I got You got 9/10 correct! I did get the cat's name correct but missed the one that asked about addictive techniques. I guessed Kaleidoscope but that was wrong. It doesn't tell me what the correct answer should be.
  17. Yeah, me, too. atm I'm feeding 3 feral "community" cats outside on my porch. I have an application in for the local shelter to come for Trap/Neuter/Release [TNR] which means they'll be back for me to feed. I put up a cat cabin on the porch for their shelter. Meanwhile, my indoor brats are jonesing after the ferals food which is different than theirs. I've tried them on the canned pate and all they do is get sick on it. The indoor crew hangs out by the open sliding glass door in good weather; which is their version of a "catio!"
  18. Thanks, Gerry. I now have the Powertoys and the highlighted (and animated) cursor!
  19. You remind me, #Susan Ewart. During the Vectors class you posted a photo of a cat with a waving tail with the label "I'm too sexy for my tail. I'm too sexy for my tail. Imagine that!" My question, is that your cat? If so, what's it's name? I was so impressed I printed it out and it's on my office wall... 😽
  20. Sounds like something I could use in PSP because I use the precise cursor which I find hard to see, sometimes.
  21. Finally got to finish Lesson 7. Here is daughter, Deb's, Big River Farm that she has turned into an Airbnb. It seems folks want to get away to a rustic environment! Who knew? It does have all the mod cons so there's that. It has about 5 cabins on the property, but the largest one is the rental. The title font is "Things We Said." The text font is "Witch Mystery." (Because the title font is a bit quirky, I tried to follow up with the text font in the same vein.) The redwood tree illustration is from pngtree.
  22. Outstanding linoleum, Carolyn. When I did mine, I liked it so much I started saving just the linos as papers in my stash and went on to create it in various colors. Is Tracy the person or the pup?
  23. Thank you, Corrie! My granddaughter, Jackie, took me out to dinner on Friday evening and daughter, Laurey, took me out for dinner again on Saturday. I'm over-dinner-ed! 😊

  25. From the album: ANN SEEBER - MISCELLANEOUS

ANNA & TJs wedding reception. Hard to believe it's been almost 12 years! I played with brushes and ended up using corner punches and the wedding bell is also a punch. (in the mask) The text font is Tempus Sans. The frame is called Transparent01 in the PSP frame collection.
