  1. I decided to follow the video closely; I need to refresh my techniques. I love how it came out. The balloons are from my stash. The main font is Amsterdam from CF and the font is Billy Signature from FDR (Free Design Resources).

Here is another layout that I finally finished last week.   I don't remember what I had in mind for the page when I started, but it was probably different from what it is now.

    • Credits:
    • Background paper -  Playtime Princess_D4ED_hearts paper 8,   an old freebie by Pauline Thompson / Dream4Ever.
    • Cassel: DateStamp#8 --  Hanging Photos Script
    • Font: Lazy Ride Script

I think layouts ending up nothing like we originally intended is a common issue for us. LOL

  3. This came in handy today for my dear friend Lorraine's birthday! I forgot to mention that the font is Zooky Squash which I got from FontBundles years ago during one of their $1 sales. It came with seven versions including alternates, swashes, and ornaments. I think I got my money's worth. 😄

Day 4.  The invitation cards are all fictitious.  Although I do live a 20 minute drive from Gardiner Dam, where there is always an abundance of birds of all kind.   American White Pelicans at Gardiner dam, on the South Saskatchewan river side of the dam. The other side of the dam is Lake Diefenbaker.   This card shows my attemp at being witty.🙃

Fictitious invitations? Now I have to cancel my flight.

  5. Not necessarily satisfied with this, but my arm has given out; not easy to do with a pinched nerve. 😄 I took the pic of my neighbor's flowering bush (tree?) a long time ago. I put several of Cassel's scripts to work: brad factory, ribbon factory, and bow 11.

  6. One morning I was getting in my car to go to work when I noticed a praying mantis on my side mirror. Not wanting to hurt it, I tried to get it off with various non-contact techniques, all unsuccessful. I decided that once I started moving, it would hop off. Boy, was I wrong! I drove all the way to work (speed limit 55 mph/88kpm), and it was still there when I arrived at the office. It was gone by the end of the day, but I was very impressed with its "stick-to-it-iveness," pun fully intended. 🙃

  7. Loving everything, especially from our "newbies." I'm very impressed.

I was so looking forward to this workshop, but I don't know if I'll be able to participate due to an injury. Since there is no time limit for the workshops, I hope to be able to start soon and catch up. 🤞

I just love flowers and flower photography plus I have a niece's birthday coming up so the ideal subject. I changed the canvas to 1500 x1500. Used a Random Noise Effect to the scallop paper. The texture effect, 'Blind' on the strip is bold at 100%. The round element is 'happiness is homemade' by Marissa Lerin form Digital scrapbooking.com. The font I have used is also from Creative Fabrica called 'Babylone'

The floral brad you used is so gorgeous that I went right to DS and downloaded the entire bundle! If you don't mind may I make a small suggestion? The shadow you used for the brad makes it look like it's floating above the card. You might want to make it smaller.

Oh Sue! You are my patron saint of PSP. Duplicating and using the Eraser brush (on the shadow too) sounds much less complicated. Thank you so much!

I do a lot of layer duplicating in case what I'm trying doesn't work. Then I can always go back.

I should be too embarrassed to say how long it takes me to do a layout I can live with. Then, I should also be ashamed to admit how many times I had to try the interlacing elements technique that Sue T. pointed me back to. I have watched that video several times over the months and still have issues with which layer is top and which is bottom and then where does the darn Promoted Selection go! I'm going to keep using that technique until I get it right and quick!

Photo of irises from Unsplash. Adjusted blur & hue. The translucent frame around the single iris is from Natali Designs at Pickleberry Pop. Other stuff is just splatters and paint. Font is FrouFrou. I found out that when you do this interlacing with a frame, you can't add a bevel. But is that just me too?

Nothing to be embarrassed about when your results are gorgeous!

That font really works here. I looked it up and places are charging for it. If you got it free from CF, that was a good score.

I have a subscription with CF, but it might have been one of their daily freebies at one time.

This phrase was unfamiliar so I asked Bing to look it up. The report says: "A baja shelf is an extended step into a pool that creates a shallow area in the water for lounging and play. It’s also referred to as a tanning ledge, extended step, sun shelf or baja step. It is the perfect middle ground between pool and poolside where you can partially submerge a chair and relax in the water."

It's the perfect place to sit on a lounge chair in the water with a cool drink.

Don't mind me but I have to brag on myself... The designer of the kit I used (Forever Joy at The LilyPad), has added this layout to her Pinterest board where she highlights layouts done with her products! This is a first for me with her products!

    Forever Joy

You have every reason to be proud of yourself. Congratulations!

I wanted to try something different (for me at any rate). Used all elements but 2 from Di Hiller kits which tend to be in vibrant colours. This is my take on the "table" layout that Carole highlighted. Just silly, whimsical, and colourful for the month of May when colour comes back.

    This is adorable!
