I have noticed that you post this layout every year and it is a lovely tribute to your dad. At the same time it remembers me of my own dad who passed away in1981 too, but in august and like you I still miss him.

It's an odd coincidence that I also lost my dad in 1981. I was in my mid-twenties and still regret not knowing him better in my adulthood, as I moved away for school when I was 17 and stayed in that area until a few years after his death.

Since the Vector Workshop, I’ve been watching and practicing a few video tutorials for PSE and Affinity.   I wish I had more time to experiment with the programs and create something in PSP, but that isn’t possible right now.

This is my attempt to replicate the Affinity Revolution's CRAZY Perspective Bending Composite! Affinity Photo Tutorial.   It uses the Perspective Filter.

Yesterday was my first attempt, and it was successful. However, when I tried reopening the .afphoto file, the app crashed. Yeah, this also happens in Affinity. 😊

Today, I tried again, and it crashed while I was adding a shadow. After another attempt, starting from scratch, I managed to complete it without any issues.

I'm sorry you're having tech problems, but I love the pic!

Just want to say that I'm using PSP 2022 and I don't have the ForegroundBacground gradient.

I seem to remember I had the same issue with one of the versions. Is PSP 2022 an upgrade for you? If so, look in your folders from your prior version. I think the gradients are kept in Corel_06 folders.

  4. I went to college in upstate NY. One night my friends and I went to Lake Ontario (which I first thought was the ocean because I'd never seen a lake large enough to have waves; I was never good at geography lol). Anyway, the Northern Lights were active, and I thought I was having a flashback! πŸ˜

Ann, the Dogwood quote is the Legend of the Dogwood. I first saw it years ago on a postcard. I'm pretty sure you can find it via Google. There's a legend of the Redbud tree but I haven't been able to find it.

Are any of these what you're looking for? If you're looking for one about Judas, the first one might be it.

  6. I've never owned my own home, so I've been unable to have a garden. But if I did, I would fill it with native wildflowers. Not only are they beautiful, imho, but they are very beneficial to local wildlife. They're also low maintenance.

This is what I would love to have.

  7. My daughter's daycare/nursery school also had a kindergarten. At the end of kindergarten, at which point they were leaving the school, there was a graduation ceremony. I remember they sang The Rainbow Connection from the Muppets. She sang it non-stop for weeks. πŸ˜

Part of me wants to apologise for posting an overtly political image, it is certainly not aimed at trying to offend anyone. It is however what my heart was drawn to create. I usually try to avoid anything that feels like a political statement here but the song that instantly sprang to mind was where have all the flowers gone. That not many people realise is an anti war song.

I don't find this overly political. It was written in the 1960s and is simply an anti-war protest song. It applies to all wars, in my opinion.

I have a jigsaw app on my tablet. But there is nothing like holding the pieces and making them fit for a real jigsaw puzzle.

My carrier does not roll up. It is heavy cardboard with flaps that open and has 2 sections that can hold the pieces not used yet. Those sections sit on top of the puzzle and keep everything in place. It also has a handle to carry it. It is 25Hx30Lx2D inches in size. It was perfect for Dad when they were in Florida since he worked on the puzzles on the coffee table which wasn't big enough for a puzzle. And, those trailers had limited space so he could just close it up and put it behind a piece of furniture until he wanted to work on it again.

My dentist has huge, finished puzzles hanging on the office walls. He does them on his ping pong table.

    J is for Jigsaw Puzzles.

I love jigsaw puzzles. I also had a puzzle carrier; it was easy to roll it up to save for another day. Due to a lack of room when I moved, I started doing them online.

When I first saw the photo I felt that it wasn't real. Unlike Albino birds which are caused by a genetic mutation.  In other words albios are lacking in melanin, the pigment  resposible for dark colours. Many colours, such as orange hues in plumage can come from pigments in the food that they eat.  Not the case in the Snowy Owl, as their diet soley consists  of mice, voles, rabbits and the like.  Snowing Owls have very little melanin.Which mean they can not change colour. The Snowy Owls  white plumage, with barring is a natural camouflage for their habitat.  I doubt this colouring  is the result of genetics, in my opinion  foul  play. (has been painted or Photoshopped). One of my recent Template workshop  layouts was about Melanin and Keratin.   By the way this Snowy Owl, is a female

I checked out the link @Ann Seeber included in her comments. Then I googled. The NY Times and The Dodo are only two of the sites that wrote about it. I think "Creamsicle" is real.

Every so often I grab this since I eat ONE truffle in the evening with my wine and cheese. I see on Amazon I can buy the loose candies cheaper than the blue bags. I'm a sucker for dark chocolate!
