    Great to be back to posting.  This was the post I tried to post on June 6th.  so glad is stayed on the Editor...and good thing it didnt post because I forgot to add a shadow the Weel Done and the frame.  I had looked on "professor" Google to see what do Scottish people say for "congratulations" and it came up with a slang term, "Weel Done".  I have no idea if this is legit or not.

    Just a quickie I did tonight...because I left it to the last moment.  My friends moved to Scotland on the Moray Firth (Moray Coast?) in Nairn (close to Inverness).  Tomorrow (from my point of view - Today from theirs) they get the keys to the new house and their new adventure.  I had originally thought I'd be doing something with the text and the outer frame, but it seems to look better in black.  I found the highland cow on Unsplash (Sasha Matic is the photographer) and since it was on a snowy white background I used the Darken blend mode to made the background disappear into the garage door.

    I found the highland cow in the circle frame on Creative Fabrica and used text on a path as shown in the last master class.  I see that I didnt get the bottom word as far away.  I'll fix that later, I need to send it now as they should be just about getting up for the day...as I'm about to be going to sleep.   I am showing it in black (as it came), on the layout I turned it to white so it would show up.

    I love how you blended the pictures with the text being the divider. Very creative.

    I had a doctor's appointment in the hospital and on  the busy street before the building there was a family of geese crossing the road to go from one piece of grass to the another. They walked very calmly and the parents had some trouble to keep the youngsters in line. There is a bus stop and 2 busses had to halt to let them all pass. I wasn't the only onlooker that made some photos that day. The geese are the "Grote Canadese Gans" - Branta canadensis and are some time ago more or less imported from abroad and are now very often a pain in the ass for farmers because they are eating and damaging the crops. But it was a lovely sight!

    Great pic! Years ago I had to drive by a pond that was a few blocks from my office. There were many mornings I was late because I had to wait for the geese to finish crossing the road.

    As soon as I read what the theme for this month is, I thought of a photo I took on my trip about a lemon tree. To me that is something that I never see at home, at least not as a big tree. Here it are little plants meant to go in a big container and they have to be brought indoors over the winter. In the older days when there were big estates it were plants for an orangery. The only set back for me is that now I have this earworm from the song Lemon Tree. It is a song from my youth by Peter, Paul and Mary; it is one of my favorites from that time and I will recognize it immediately if I hear the start of the music.

    I used the kit Sunshine Lemons from Marissa Lerin for the papers, scatter and all the elements for the cluster I made. The mask is by Jessica Dunn and the music notes came from pngwing. Fonts are Bremlin for the title and Arial rounded for the lyrics. The corner punch is one of a series of punches that I have found once on a search for interesting elements, but I have no clue where I found it in the end.

    And I remember it being sung by Trini Lopez! I think it was covered by a bunch of artists.

    I'm  not quite sure what  you  mean. You want the base of the candle  to fan out. Can you give me  an example.  I can make, say the last two words words taper out like a Christmas tree. To create a base,  while still maintaining  the cylinder shape.

    Not taper out, but round it down. Is the white oval supposed to be a candle dish? If not, just ignore me. 🤪

    What do you think?  Initially I didn't add shadows, which makes it look better.  If you ask me, I'm still not overlly happy with it.

    You're amazing! I'm going to challenge you even more and ask you to make the bottom of it curve more toward the white oval. I know I'm a pain in the butt. 😄

    I'm up to date with  my cards, also some of my Xmas cards for 2024.   I'm back on the Xmas cards and  general festive  creations which I can add to cards.   Here is a Xmas wordart candle, I started last night.  The flame is from CF,  a selection of  fonts and a base I made using a vector shape, and the pen tool.  It will easy enough to change colours to adapt to  any card.

    I love this! Here's a challenge for you ~ Can you take the word art and make it curved like an actual rounded candle? I have full faith in you!

    I always love the fonts you display in your layouts. You must have quite a collection!

    Thanks so much, @Julie Magerka. Sometimes picking a font is the hardest part of a project for me. I am an unabashed Font-a-Holic. I need some meetings. 🤣

  8. Here's Day 7...Finally! I didn't do the envelope because I don't print my cards. That beautiful baby is from Unsplash, a great source for free pics. The lace and flower are both from DS/PS and the font is StylePro (Sorry, but I don't know where I got it).

    🤗 Thank you Jeni. I am a big FONT fan😍, I have in 19 years 4000 fonts collected. But I'm still always on the lookout for new fonts in different styles. Of course, I also have to remove some that I have duplicated or never used.😊Your font i used for a birthday card for a family member now.

    @Doska St. A kindred spirit ~ I'm a font-a-holic, too!

    Thank you, Doska for your comments. I'm glad to help with naming that font, no apology is required. I'm trying to remember what fonts I use, and I might have to name layers using font names. I have a few fonts with names ending in 'free for personal'.
    Your Chinatown scrap is great, Doska, you used an unusual 'frame' for your photograph, I love it.

    @Jeni Simpson I use the Image Information to keep track of what I do.

    I so agree with you, Dee. If I don't manage to get everything done, I can still complete the cards anyway.

    @Dee Morris and @Jeni Simpson
    I'm determined to complete the workshop this time. The thread remains open so there is no time limit. Don't hesitate to share what you finish.

    @Cristina I followed Cassel's advice and went back to the page. As soon as I clicked to start a new entry, my old post popped up in its entirety! I was so glad! ☺️

    This happens to me, too. My theory is that if I try to make a new post soon after submitting another one, that's when it happens. Most of the time it's when I haven't lost the original. LOL

  12. Here's my Day 4. The cute kitty is from CF and the font is Scoot Charrita which we got free from CF via Cassel's Big 10 Event a few years ago. I used Cass corner punch B-999-17 and erased the outer edge because I thought it resembled cat paws this way.

    DAY 6 - A HAPPY BIRTHDAY CARD

    Just in time ... A friend's Mom is celebrating her birthday and I wanted to create something a bit special.

    The Flowers are from Creative Fabrica.

    The font used is called Clarendon Blk BT, I don't remember where I found it.

    I like how you have the flowers "spilling over" the oval.

    @Michele Were the butterflies already in those colors or did you need to colorize them?

    There were a bunch of butterflies in different colors. I picked these because I wanted to go with a more colorful card. I did consider colorizing some grey tone butterflies, but I liked these colors.
