  1. This is the third time I've tried to reply to your comment! This has been happening more frequently than ever before. I type out the message, click submit and it doesn't appear. I worry those darn elves are at work here.... Anyway, I'm glad to hear that this has happened to someone else. I did get it resized and saved but it was long and very slow. Hoping it's a one-off anomaly like yours.
  2. The important part is that you didn't lose a lot. It has been wet and foggy here for so long we are all feeling sun-deprived. Glad you had fun.
  3. When I clicked on File or Image or any other Menu option, they didn't open. I tried CTRL+S but that didn't work. When I checked the file sizes on other of my projects, they are no where near as large as the one I was working on. And there was nothing large or special about that layout. Just typical, 3600x3600 with maybe 10 layers or so. One of the PSP gremlins no doubt. But thanks Carole.
  4. I've been working on a layout for two days now. Each time I save it as PSP, it becomes SO large (330 MB or 290 MB). I thought maybe it was the font (Samantha Upright) because that one is weird to work with. It is so small on the layout so I make it a bit bigger (but I should just stretch it with the handles?). Once it's saved as PSP, the menu items are no longer available to use. I click on File to save it, and nothing happens. No other menu items will open either. I merge the layers, resize to save as .jpg and it won't save. Anyone had this problem before? It's a mystery to me.
  5. No, perfect as is. I saw this template somewhere and wondered how to use it. You've done it justice.
  6. OK, I am looking for the last day of the countdown, but the green banner is no longer on the page. What did I miss? I want to say thanks to Carole and Sue T for the lovely surprises and fun things over all these days.
  7. I downloaded many of them and now have a massive collection to sort out! But it was fun to see so many lovely things up for grabs. I figured some of it would be older stuff they were trying to clear out, but they're new to me. In my lifetime I wouldn't be able to use most of the stuff.
  8. I wish to send best holiday and New Year wishes to everyone here at the Campus. It's THE place to be with some of the best and most helpful folks around. Blessings to all.
  9. Another layout. I saw something like this in the background on a TV show. I like that I can try to replicate something, even if it doesn't turn out the way I imagined. The cutout circle background gave me so much trouble, don't know why. I wanted to give it more depth but just couldn't add a bevel or any other 3D effect to it. The file seemed to be so slow to load and save, just glitchy I guess. It's created as a .png but had to also save as .jpg to use here. Have no idea what I'd use it for, but enjoyed doing it.
  10. Looks like Emerald and I hit send at about the same time!
  11. Moving on from bumbershoots and old folks....🙃 Not only do I feed peanuts and seeds to the critters in the backyard, but sometimes I watch their behaviours and silly antics. This particular girl (my photo) savours every peanut she gets, leans way back to eat it, and sometimes falls right over! It looks like she's in raptures with her treats.
  12. N = nuts in a bowl with a nutcracker
  13. Any time I've visited the Big Apple in the colder weatheer, I've always bought a bag of fresh-roasted chestnuts. But it's been quite a while since the last time.
  14. F = feasting (which we are fortunate to be able to do)
  15. C = candles that used to be put on trees
  16. Oh man! Because I know brolly and bumbershoot I'm an old girl? I'm heartbroken Susan. 😇 (But the truth hurts sometimes, right?)
  17. I was also taught that way many years ago. It makes sense to me that the punctuation (period) is the actual end of the sentence, so the quotation marks would be outside after that.
  18. Well done Susan. Balanced and intricate and worth the time you spent on it. Love kitty's attitude! Are these your pix?
  19. Never done that, have you? But it would be fun.
  20. T = twigs (and branches) used for decorating
  21. When I was young, my stocking always had a piece of coal at the bottom of it! My father had a ready supply of it in his shop. He was a blacksmith/welder who used a forge fuelled by coal. It's such a precious memory.
  22. Wow! such a lot of great info. Thanks so much Susan. I do need to hear of the successes folks have had with surgeries for this type of issue. I will get in touch so we don't drive everyone else on here a bit batty with the pain talks.
  23. A new and fun toy! That's a lovely thing. Expect to see lots of your pix here.
