It makes my heart ache to think of this young guy so heartbroken over losing his "best bud". It takes some time to absorb the loss. Tears are good at such a time.

But when you guys slow down (perhaps) in retirement, wouldn't a wee dog be good company and a stimulus for walks?
-
That's funny! I was the same.

These pictures, from my family album, have such a spring-like feel to them. I coloured in some of the blossoms on the tree and used mostly Anna Aspnes elements and materials. This time I used PSE, but couldn't figure out how to lift the corners of the photo. (Also, I wasn't able to upload it to here - resized - without using PSP. Don't know what that was all about???) I just love how elegantly the two women (my mother and my aunt) are dressed for the occasion. Not what I'd be wearing I don't think!

I think now I want to do this for all my cats and dogs over the years! But that's quite a few!!!! Brandy is such a pretty girl.

This is my bit of gold (the text) to send wishes to all good Irishwomen/men. For today we can ALL be Irish. And it's my birthday, so I get to do this!!!! Cheers and to your health! ☘️

I get emails from her shop so I see the $1.99 specials when they appear, and that's often.

It's' called CuratedTeamFavsPhotogKit. She has quite a few camera/photography related products and regular sales.

Was this someone's home originally?

We recently had a bit of discourse about old photos and the frequent use of cameras. This photo that I have in my files comes from the early 1900s. It is not of anyone in my family, but the family of a friend. They are using Brownie box cameras, but I don't know which edition they are. I just love the pic! Taken in my hometown. Almost all elements come from Katie Pertiet photography kit which was on sale for $1.99 US.

You are lucky, Ann!

Don't know what kinda cats you've had, but mine sure were! 😆

Okay folks, I was feeling silly and playful when I thought of what I would use for the Letter F. Once this thought got into my head, I couldn't think of another possibility. If you live with animals, you know this to be true!

I got chills just reading this. Lovely.

I keep buying those little orchids at the supermarket as well. Sometimes they thrive, sometimes I kill them - not on purpose! You're doing great with this one.

The various shapes move the eye around the whole layout. Wonderful!

I had a look at the blog post too, and gave it a try. I didn't follow all the directions precisely, but I think it came out OK. This layout used a photo of the actual school which was quite impressive for a tiny village near my hometown. The smaller rural schools had SS (School Section) designations with a number and then the Township name. This was different to do and fun! (The colours faded a bit when I resized the layout.)

You got that right, Sharla. It is amazing to have such a wide variety of images and sources for them. I need to loosen up about AI images. So far, I have not had much interest in them.

Ta-Da! Thanks to the encouragement and ideas of RENE and SUSAN, I got motivated for the Letter E. And it didn't take long to throw it together. I made the fabric piece to hang the dangly earrings on years ago, when I often wore that style. Nowadays, they mostly languish in the spare bedroom, hanging forlornly. I don't dress up that much these days, and I think they look odd with yoga pants and t-shirts! 😁 The acrylic clear frame is from Annie C. Digitals, the pastel pink flower from Digital Scrapbook. The background falling petals come from online somewhere.

I also have quite a collection of earrings that I rarely wear anymore. Thanks for the great idea, Rene.

I love the idea of using EMPTY, but that might be a bit depressing? But I love your layout ideas.

Is that you Anja in the first layout? I just love that one.

Most of my photos of value are old family ones and it would get dull fast if that's all I ever used for layouts! I don't take that many photos b/c I don't go that many places. Even when I do get out, I forget to use the camera/phone. Also, there is no one to whom I can bequeath the pix I take. No one is interested, in family history or my life. Just the way it is.
-
Lots of great work you've been doing Anja. Hope you get some time to explore the family roots. It's endlessly fascinating!

I cannot think of anything with E!!!! Might have to skip this one, and maybe some others????
