You have that problem too? I have such a long to-do list for winter (or any other season for that matter) and most never gets done! But I always say I do what I like as much as I can since life zips by so quickly.

I'm the same. It's a bit overwhelming there's so much! I've watched a few of her videos on YouTube and her website to see ways to use them. This is gonna be fun!

I just have to share this. Quite by accident I came across a designer on FB who offers a rather large number (40!) of FREE zipped files. Her style is very artsy and mixed media-ish which I enjoy emulating. She's much like Katie Pertiet in that way. https://annaaspnesdesigns.com/products Her name is Anna Aspnes. Her site offers the download link at the bottom of the home page. All you need is to sign up for her newsletters, confirm in your email, and then follow the links they send for the downloads. Three videos (quite basic) are also free. Just putting it out there for my fellow PSPers who might enjoy some of her materials. Share with friends is what Mama taught me! 😁

Likely the last layout for September. And another month passes by! Our fall days don't look like the photo yet. That will be later in October. Lately it's been damp, cloudy, but still very humid which keeps the temperatures in the 20s C. Old picture of my niece's daughter who is a lot more grown up now. Only things I made/did were background (blending papers), the ribbon, and outer frame with bevel. All other elements & brushwork from Janet Kemp (DS) or Erika Designs. I am simply too lazy or time-constrained to make many of my own elements. Especially when so much good stuff is available for free often.

I really liked Kalinda. Great character to offset the "good wife".

I watch most PBS dramas, but this is one that comes on late and is very dark. I usually turn it off, but I'm sure I'm missing something really good. I do not recall this guy from The Good Wife.

You're fortunate to have someone who takes lots of photos you can then use for layouts!

The craze for Moo Deng has even grabbed marketers. The beauty store empire (Sephora) is using her image to sell blush! This could be just a silly North American thing.

Sometimes I'm too tied up with deadlines and other projects. Then my time opens up and I can get into PSP again. It's so soothing and completely different from other things I work on. This time I did a l/o with Moo-Deng. Surely you've heard of her? She's on the news, in social media posts, and has her own web camera documenting her progress. I used a Katie Pertiet template (filmstrip) that I got for free, and modified it. Images of the baby girl come from online. I think there should be shadows on the three pix, but perhaps that should have been done before I added the pix. Didn't work after they were Clipped to It. Oh well.....

Now, that's what I expect here soon too! Love those reds.

I think it is a truth universally accepted (to use a phrase from Jane Austen) that we tend not to notice the special places around us. I lived in Toronto for many years and, after visiting all the "hot spots" and special places, I didn't really pay much more attention to them unless I took visiting friends around. The same where I've been living for the last 12 years (southwestern Ontario). Because I grew up down here, I often disregard that we have have nifty places to explore and visit. One example is Point Pelee National Park, the most southerly and ecologically diverse park in Canada, jutting into Lake Erie. It is well-known, especially by birders who travel to it from places far away each May for the Festival of Birds. Over those weeks, more than 100 species of birds stop there on their northern migrations. I've been a couple of times, and it is quite the adventure. On the map, Pelee is the long tapering point down at the bottom of Essex County. It's a skinny peninsula that just fades away in sand. If you take a ferry (from Leamington) for about 90 minutes,you can visit Pelee Island which is quite outstanding as well. These are the most southern parts of Canada and have different climatic conditions than elsewhere which allows for many different species to flourish. (On the map, my town - Belle River - is on the other lake to the north (Lake St. Clair). About a 40 minute drive to the park for me. Photos from online in frames from my stash; Cass-Word Frame; fonts....?

You're quite right, Ann, about the lack of colour this autumn. Maybe it's still a bit early (here) but I still expect to see more vibrancy. And leaves are just dropping without changing. We usually have a lovely display by mid-October.
