Carole, I just inner bevelled it quite a bit - was trying for maybe a metallic look, but I guess it is too think for that. The inner bevel effect to make it look shiny like paint or metal works best on think elements.

Probably the last for January. This is Lab 10 Mod 11. Requirements: crazy monster letters, googly eyes, beads in a picture tube. All done. I also created letters from a bone that was in one of the Halloween picture tubes (there are several). I also used those tubes for the bats, cat, spider. The spider web is mine from a previous lab. The picture is from Unsplash - by Annie Spratt. The 3 monsters are from PS -- Sheila Reid; The skeletons are from PS - Brooke Gazarak. Think I have credited everyone. The background paper is mine created in another lab.

Well, I did finish the 5th project. Couldn't decide on a subject, but finally decided on this picture that Laurie took last spring up east. I've always liked paths that turn a corner - you never know what lies beyond the curve - I always think it is something wonderful and exciting or maybe just wonderful. The papers and elements are mine - the cluster was developed from elements downloaded from Pixel Scrapper at different times. The frame is also from Pixel Scrapper. The font is Aryadata - I'm sure it came from Creative Fabrica at sometime or other. I changed the background paper and the frame with Hue/Saturation/Lightness.

Gerry, I brought my family to Huntsville Space Camp many times and we always went to the back lot to see the rocket for it was on the ground at that time. This was one of my favorite places to visit so I brought all my family here at one time or another and even sent one of my grandchildren to the actual space camp. Great stuff!!

Carole, I didn't add a shadow to the journaling text. I noticed, though, as you did, that it looked like it had been shadowed. Perhaps I should have stayed with the arial font for journaling.

My project 3. This time the papers are mine and the elements are all from different picture tubes. The pictures were taken in Memphis when my daughter and I did a Sunday tour of the sites in Memphis to use for my "M is for Memphis" alphabet book. The font used is Arlington Script. Most of the extra scripts I get are from Creative Fabrica.

Dear Cindy Harris. I love both of your sandwiches. How neat you took the top piece of bread off so we could see that you put mayo and mustard on your sandwich - AND I can see it on yo ur knife. WOW!!! How thoughtful to put extra meat on the side plate for your puppy! And I, too, like that plaid that you used for your tablecloth.
As the captain said (on Galaxy Quest) NEVER GIVE UP. NEVER GIVE UP. Anyway - with the Lord at your side, you'll always be able to get up!!!

Thank you, Rene...I tried that...for me it didn't work. I am doing something wrong...don't know what.
Bonnie - I've stopped loading the fonts I'm downloadiing from Creative Fabrica. But, when they have a bundle of fonts, I make a new folder under my main font folder called the new name. It doesn't matter if I load NexusFont before or after I open PSP 2022. BUT I sometimes have to work with NexusFont to recognize all my subfolders. So, I remember the font name of one of the new fonts and then make sure that the View>Include Subfolders is checked and then watch for the name of that font when it is loading them. Then all the fonts are in my PSP font list. I don't have to go to it in NexusFont, I just use the PSP font list and it is there. Tried it several times tonight just to make sure. I had downloaded a font bundle today and it originally didn't show in Nexus Font so I clicked on the name of my main folder showing in Nexus Font and again did View>Include Subfolders and saw the new fonts being loaded. Then I went to PSP and they were there.

Project 1. I made the cluster with the elements in the fall kit from PS cpJess frosty fall mini kit offered for this project. Since I decided not to use fall colors in the mini kit, I colorized the fall leaf scatter provided by Cassel with the hue/saturatiion/lightness to green. the gold flower is from the kit also. In making the cluster which I saved as a pspimage, I made shadows on the individual elements - thanks for that tip, Carole - not sure where you mentioned it, but I remembered it.

Really outstanding layout!

I'm not happy this time. I tried to make a folded napkin, but it's not pretty! lol! I am also not really happy with the cutlery as I would really like to make it look like metal not plastic. I am drinking hot chocolate with those tiny marshmallows. I added cheese this time to the sandwich. The placemat is from Rush Ranch- Helpful kit. I like the dark oak table.

I have not changed my workspace since the first bootcamp I attended. I like the light grey background and the palette that Carole Cassel uses. However, I notice that Ann Seeber is adding the Organizer palette to hold the pictures etc. she will be using in the layout. Well, I had used it at first and then discarded the idea. But, I think I will use it again as Ann is.

Michele - I use point-to-point, connect segments, show nodes. I use a tablet and pen (getting used to that).

OK. I've been playing around ((SO OCD)). I couldn't make the curved papers with the pen tool UNTIL I made the path go around the sides of the layer to meet with the beginning of the curve. Then I could make the magic wand select the inside of the path in order to color the "curved paper". Then trouble with using the Vector paint script - maybe it had to do with F11 ???? I'm not sure at this point. I also used the Vector Tube script to make the chain edge and the rope edge. The scalloped edge was made with the Vector Paint script. So here are my results. The 2nd layout shows how I had to go around the edge of the paper in order to make the different colored pages (I pulled the edge made with the rope forward - that's why it is not actually on the edge of the page).

Ran across this layout that I played with when doing one of the recent labs. The window was "snowy window" and a freebie around Christmas 2021 and I removed the snow; the curtain top was something I was looking for to hide the top of the "netting" curtain I had used in that lab. I'm not sure where it came from but was probably originally from PS. All the rest is mine.

OK - still working on 2022's Alphabet Challenge. Finished R is for Route 66. Such a long road and so many interesting places to see and take pictures of. I tried to take representative pictures of the places within the states covered, but I didn't have pictures of Illinois (on Route 66) although I've been over that road many times, and I didn't have pictures of the road in California since I've never been to Santa Monica (although I've been to Barstow - but no pictures). Anyway - this is my take on the route.

Lab 10 Mod 10. Requirements: Cross pattern - made several papers and the background is one; Grosgrain Ribbon - made several and the short ribbon in the cluster is one of them; Mushroom - this was interesting - made several and grouped them here with a piece of grass from Creative Fabrica. Rest of the stuff is from my stash. The font is Ballpark. The pictures were taken by me and Laurie on a trip there in 2020.
