Believe it or not, I still learn and discover things while "playing" with PSP. Even accidents can be happy at times!
I so agree!!

Last night I created this birthday ecard. After discovering the May tut/tech challenge this morning, I decided to use it to advertise a fictitious event. There are so many different tag designs which can be used in so many ways to help showcase photos. The one with the threaded ribbon I copied from a magazine. I created my own version of a ticket design, which I saw somewhere or other. I jot down on paper designs that I see on the telly, or in a magazine, or online ads creating then as when needed. The pinned tag design will be familiar to you. I frequently use many other techniques in my pages, putting emphasis on small realistic details.
Sue - did you use one of Cassel's scripts to do the multiple copies of the picture? There is one in the store for making multiple copies of a photo or element and stacking them, but it doesn't look like this (at least not the jpg that goes with the script).

So, here is my next Chattanooga Trip layout. The font is Academy Engraved LET and I filled the open areas with a pattern taken from the water of one of the pictures. The anchor element came from NicePng and the lifesaver element came from pixel scrapper - Jessica Dunn (One of my favorite designers).

Maybe there was more to "c" in that acquarium, ackqwareeuhm, akweryumm...aquarium. ? (I think I have been spelling it wrong too)
Ha, Ha. Susan - love your humor (or is it humour or is that something else????) Well, it appears that that is the only place I spelled it with a "c" - and, yes, Susan, there was PLENTY to c in that aquarium.

Beautiful layout, Mary. Following along on your trip, I wish I'd visited Tennessee! (btw, there is no "c" in "aquarium" ?)
Thanks, Ann. I will change that. Need to check the spelling on the other "Acquarium" layouts. Ha, Ha.

Fabulous mask! What a beautiful bridge that is. This is quite the undertaking, and it's going to be a wonderful album. Will you print it?
Yes - I have 2 or 3 more layouts to do, then I will print it.

Seeing Corrie's and Julie's comments, you are not alone, Susan!... Guilty too! ...I downloaded free kits when I started here on the Campus, and some I've never used... So when I think of deleting, I have the same thought... Who knows? ?
Me too!!!

Let me know if you want me to send it to you, or try support. They were very responsive.
Thanks, Donna. I think I am satisfied with it as a standalone. It sure is an interesting app.

Mary,
I'm glad that I inspired you. I lost the license key when I changed computers, and I must tell you that their customer service was excellent. I received a reply within 24 hours, although the support is only for paid for versions.
Try making a folder and pasting the 8BF file into it. Then direct your PSP file locations to that folder. That is what worked for me, although I have most of my plugins in a separate folder called "plugins64." It took me quite a while to figure it out. I used it with a shimmer paper with lines from Abstract Curvees for the background on the card that I am making, although my husband wants it to be a more colorful blue.
Donna, there is NO 8bf file. I've just decided to use it as is - a standalone. It's OK.
-
I've decided to use it as a standalone also. Can't fight it. It's an interesting app. Already did a sample out of it that I used to create a paper. Guess I was inspired by Donna.

Nope. I even closed PSP after I added it in File Preferences Plug Ins and then reopened it and it doesn't show.

The downloaded version does not have a .8bf file which you need to show up in plugins. I think. I went ahead and installed the full version so that I could work in it if I wanted to. Seems it saves as .bmp files which can be loaded as .jpg files (I think).
I finally contacted AbstractCurves and told them my problem. Lets see what they say.

If you are having issues, install it anyways (so you would be within the time limit) and we can figure out how to get it "visible" in PSP after.
I don't know if it has anything to do with dll files or not. Maybe check this article about installing plugins?

I assume you are using the 64-bit version of PSP?
Yes

Turned the computer off and then turned it back on and opened PSP and it still doesn't show Abstract Curves.
-
Tried that several times. I will now restart my computer or maybe turn in off and then turn it on.
-
2022 Ultimate - it is a 64 bit; I uninstalled Abstract Curves and then reinstalled it as a full + plugin and it still doesn't show. I have closed PSP and reopened it and it still doesn't show.
I can run it as a standalone. Which is interesting. However, I want to use it as a plug in.
-
OK - I installed Abstract Curves as a plug in but I don't see it when I add it to my File Preferences. So what am I missing????

Playing further. I got some freebies, I think from CF, they are from "T" and the picture for them showed them as metal outlines. Well, when I got them, they were just outlines! So, I've been playing around with 2 alpha creation tutorials that were here last month, but were old. Well, one was to create an alpha metallic, so I used it to apply to my freebie. This is the result.
