  1. You don't need to make a copy of the PSP file. Make sure you have saved the psp first, then merge all flatten, and save as a jpeg. You won't loose the psp file.
  2. There you are, the text is perfect now! ?. At least you have an alternative way to save. You can always resave the Png as a jpeg, if need be. Hopefully it was just a one off, possibly that particular gradient had a bug or something.
  3. Ann, that is strange, does the same thing happen when you save it as a PNG file? Before saving as a jpeg, do you merge all (flatten) before you resize and then save. Perhaps Carole will have an explanation.
  4. Day 4. I applied 2 overlays to the background paper. Extracted the notice from a photo, perspective, placed it just a tad under the rope. I wanted to make a visual reference, As a reference to the rope is in the notice. It's the same notice which my granddaughter is reading out to me. She had memorized the words, as she had been there many times before. Which reads, in case it's not very legible, after being resized down. Ssssh, the Mud Maid is sleeping, Please do not climb over the fence, step on her moss blanket, or disturb her dreams. Thank you. Ann, I afraid I don't have an answer for the gradient. I haven't experienced that before. With regard to your text, I notice that your joined up writing isn't joined up. Was the kerning set to 0, if it was try a minus number to join the letters. A lovely Male Snowy, I see far more females, than males. Maybe because they are harder to spot, being almost all snow white.
  5. Corrie, I love fungi, lichen and mosses. Here, we don't get the variety, and quantity, like a home. I have loads of pics of fungi, which I take every time I go home. If the opportunity ever arises to visit Heligan, take it! Their Delhia garden is phenomenal. You'd love it. During my time home we made 3 trips there. Spending the whole day each time. Taking packed lunches for picnics.
  6. Outstanding work Marie-Claire. When was that script added to the store? I had no idea it existed. The background paper is busy, yet it's subtle, and not overpowering, a great job all round.
  7. Carole, thank you for the comments on my pages. The lack of advice, suggestions etc, can mean only one thing. You have taught me well over the years. I have taken on board everything, some things I have temporarily forgotten, but soon comes to the forefront when needed to be used. I do like to put emphasis on details, which to me is important. PSP is a never ending learning process. As we have only just scratched the surface of it's capabilities.
  8. Thank you so much Susan. I will be doing another page tomorrow on Heligan.
  9. I knew what I was going to do for today's page last night. I had already chosen the photos. I started last night by trying to replicate the label on the poster photo. Using a font bracket, and got as close as I could to replicating the font used. Used a slightly different font, and font dingbats for the Love label. We were frequent visitors to Heligan, which is in Cornwall. The estate owned by the same family for 400 yrs. In the 1970's the house was converted to flats, The gardens were neglected, then in 1990 this sleeping beauty was discovered and re-awakened. Becoming Europe's largest garden restoration. A truly magical place for the young and old.
  10. My first recollection of blackberry picking was when I was around 4 with my gran and mum. Then my mum and I. I continued blackberry picking after I got married, introducing my own children, as young as babies in arms. My grandfather and father wouldn't start hedge cutting until after we had finished harvesting the hedgerows. My husband wouldn't start either until I gave him the go ahead. Sloes, Damsons, Rosehips and Elderberries were also gathered for acholic beverages, such as Sloe Gin and tea. When I was home last year, I took my 2 granddaughters blackberry picking several times, what an absolute joy it was. We ate as much as we picked, which was always the norn. I can still smell the blackberry and apple tarts we made, and ate with piping hot custard. I don't half miss the fruit picking season.
  11. I had already put my mind to using the background photo as the main photo for day 1 of the Mask challenge. We can have clear blue skies, but when the wind blows with such force, visibility is greatly diminished by blowing snow. I used the mask which came with Day 1 of the Love story challenge (Masks) back in 2017. I did have to edit it to accommodate the Blue Jay. The mask suited the layout I had in mind. I placed the blue frame, over and under the brown one. The page itself came together quickly, the word art took a little longer. I didn't use a 12x12 scrap page, I used the size of the photo.
  12. Julie, once it clicks, there will be no going back, it will become second nature to you. I will suggest to you though, that you create a mask at every opportunity. Instead of say, using the selection tool to add a photo, until you have mastered the technique. Lovely layout. I love the lifted corners technique and effect it has on a layout. That script saves a lot of time.
  13. Susan you have done a super job! A great piece of work. After seeing this you should excel at creating word art. A lot of the same principals are the same.
  14. Michele, you constantly produce superb pages. I'm a huge fan of Carole's punches too! I agree I would love to see a new set of edge punches. I also use then to create decorative borders/ corners on labels, and tags.
  15. I made my own clothes for my 2 children when they babies and toddlers. Of course back in those days boys and girls were dressed the same when babies. I used to make Viyella nighties and vests for them. Also I knitted all their matinee jackets, using the Blackberry stitch, as it is my favourite stitch. I ordered a hand made personized rag doll for the youngest granddaughter for Xmas. I'm in the process of crocheting a hat and matching scarf and mittens for her. As an Easter gift. I suspect the cost of the postage to Wales will be far in excess of the wool. But Hey, you can't put a price on making something yourself.
  16. My interpretation of the stencil. I will be using it as an Easter tag. Currently I have been creating my own Easter vector shapes. Closer to Easter I will post for download for you, a vector shape Easter egg tag, which will have the hole already punched out. I won't post any of the others, as I want to encourage you to create your own. I also created the vector flower in the tag.
  17. A British native woodland and hedgerow flower. This particular layout is one that I do quite often. Adjustment layers.
  18. It was Saint Dwynwen's Day on Wednesday in Wales. 25th Jan. I made a tag for an ecard I sent to family and friends in Wales. St Dwynwen's day dates back to the 12 century. A true love story about a young girl named Dwynwen. The Welsh equivalent to the American St Valentines day. I used vector shapes. I had to change it to a raster to add the butterfly.
  19. I have just taken a gander through all the pages, as it is currently snowing. What an array of wonderfully creative pages posted. I thought I'd make a start on general ecards. Here are two that I have started, no doubt before they are destined for their intended recipient, they will be tweaked. Currently working on an Easter card. Many of you will know that I keep my pages simple and minimal. Maintaining focus on the photos. I'd better get back to it.
  20. January word Challenge in the campus. START. I didn't clock up the miles yesterday, as I had intended to do. The wildlife had other ideas for me. Before I even set off, I encountered a small flock of black capped chickadees close by. I spent more time being inconspicuous than actually hiking the trails. Either way it was a great afternoon to be outdoors. I haven't done a magazine cover for a short while. My very first page to be be added to the campus since the changes. I forgot to add it to the campus, after posting it on facebook on Sunday. Yearling bull moose. Male Snowy Owl. Black-capped Chickadee.
  21. Played around with creating some envelopes. Here's one of them. I used a vector shape, rectangle, rounded corners, and the pen tool. Following Carole's day 7 tutorial, to complete the card workshop. Later on I will be posting the envelope in the file section on FB. For those that would like to have it, to use in their projects. It will be a PSP file, with everything on separate layers. Excluding shadows.
  22. Corrie, your last entry is lovely. I've done the same with regards to the envelope template. Although I'm unlikely to print it off. I agree, the huge number of entries submitted are in a word 'phenomenal'
  23. Thank you Susan. I have all of Carole's crochet tubes, corner and edge punches. They are worth every penny. I really do use them all a great deal. As for the Grackle, a few will stay all winter, providing there are plenty of berries. I'd sooner see them all migrate, same goes for the Robin. This one is a male. I have dozens of them nesting out in the trees each year. They are so noisy. Head over to FB to get the png lace frame I added to the file section.
  24. Day 7. I did two. I took the photo of the grackle yesterday. I was away yesterday, having fun in the snow on a bird count. Doing them this morning, and now posting them. I've created a snowflake frame using a brush, which I will post in the file section on facebook. Perhaps, for those that are not on FB, Carole can place a link to it on here. It's a png file. I used one of Carole's crochet tubes to create the frame. I'm not a big fan of a stark white background. I do like the look and feel of vintage paper, so I used a small texture, and a hint of grey. Thank you Carole for this superb workshop. The templates are what I love, simple, and minimalistic, as so many of you will know, that I'm very much a non frilly, busy page creator.
  25. Day 6. I decided to go with a thank you card.
