  1. I wish I knew, my head is usually so scrambled these days. Weirdly, even just 10 yrs ago I was really focused, but didn't do much creating (other than Christmas cards), and now my brain feels scattered and I'm more creatively productive. Wonder what that's about.

  2. I've won the Easter brushes and just made a very quick lay-out with them. šŸ™‚ Made it in just a few minutes and the project looks nice already. Wonder how it wil work out when I take more time for a "real" Easter lay-out. We're preparing for a trip to Scotland (Outlander country!) next week, not much hobby time, but after that I will take more time for a project. šŸ™‚

  3. Talking about watermarks, there was a time when I would watermark all of my work. I haven't done so for some time now. Here are the two I created from a jpeg I found on line years ago. You will notice that I used the same font, I always use and to this day to sign and date polaroid images in layouts. Which is called Stanley. I used the date stamp technique in the first one. Selecting the text, then hit the delete key on the camera image. I edited the camera image, to suit what I was looking for. Deleting and tapering the edges.

  6. Don't you just love Gill Sans Ultra Bold. It is one of my most favorite fonts. Such pretty crocus (did I get that right?)

  7. This made me smile 🫠 and I wonder how do you come up with such funny ideas that are worked out to perfection.

  9. Thank you and I think I'm going to emboss that icon with my initials added. I have been looking for something to put on my layouts that is not too obvious and this might do the trick. If time allows I'll give it a try. Dear Annie Tobin had a nice sign on het layouts and I have been searching on and off for something without copying hers that is.

  10. Lovely folding, even without the F it is immediately clear it is a fox!

  11. Always a pleasure my dear. I was hoping they may inspire you. I have every confidence that once you have chosen a phone icon, you will be able to create your unique watermark. Of course mine had be the camera. There are many techniques which can be used. You could create a vector shape of your image, which can then be manipulated to your liking. As always, the possibilities are endless.

  12. Thank you for sharing how you did it, both are fantastic and for me maybe an idea to follow.

  16. I used to buy the pancake mix from the grocery store, then I found one online that I printed out. The bottom of the page says 6/2/2008, either June 2 or Feb 6 depending how the date is set up. It's called "Plain Griddle Cakes" and it's the easiest and most yummy pancakes that I've made. And it's really quick and simple to make. A paragraph a the bottom of the page reads: The recipe is based on the pancake recipe in "The Settlement Cookbook ("the Way to a man's heart") by The Settlement Cookbook Company Milwaukee Wisconsin 1903, a book every serious food reader ought to own. I add cinnamon to the dry mix and use the mix for both pancakes and waffles. For the record, I like waffles better. I have never checked to see if that book is still in print, I should do that.

  17. I love origami. I remember doing a lot of it when I was a kid. It's been many, many years, but I might still be able to make a crane. Your fox is wonderful!

  18. This just what I want to have. And also what hubby wants to do, but his work is really stressful right now so I'm not going to push him until his work settles down. It will be months. A cooler head has prevailed, in the end, he is more important than files and photos.

  19. Thank you and congratulations on you new granddaughter Gwen! Enjoy her as long as you are staying in Cornwall. It is just 3 weeks now and I'm preparing the last things. I have my birthday as well a week before I go, it is becoming a bit hectic at the moment.

  20. I know how you feel, it is a real danger isn't it! I have my external backup permanently connected with my laptop and every day at 11.00 pm my computer makes a backup. It only makes a backup of the files that are changed and it has been a real saver of files or directories that I had put in the bin and emptied that bin....... Now I have a daily routine to check my bin and empty it afterwards before I close the laptop. This way I easily can see what I have placed in the bin, this has reduced the "oh my what have I done again now" feeling. šŸ™ƒ

  21. I love foxes, folding and paper! I'm not as good as this though. It's fabulous. Just yesterday at work I was out on the loading dock, the shipper/reciever had some boxes open (it was a flyer insert for a paper) and I was oogling at the protective cardboard piece on the top of the box (to protect the flyer when cutting open the box). My supervisor happened along and came to see why i was ooing and aahing. They both thought I was nuts. I'm like, "cant you see the subtle colors and the texture in this guard sheet, it's beautiful." They were like, uhm, no.

  22. Project 3 You've seen the mittens, here's some partners for the mittens. Actually the 'partners' are about 3" (hat) and 8" (scarf), some Christmas decorations from something that I just found in a random cupboard. The mittens are full sized and were bought in the 2010 Winter Olympics when I lived just outside Vancover, BC(Canada). I put my big-girl pants on and wrote down all the supplies. Fonts: Awesome couple Script & Austyke (title) from Creative Fabrica Flower/tree/present: PS Commons Oklahoma Dawn (Digitalscrapbook.com) Swirl: Marisa Lerin (DigitalScrapbook.com) Polka Dot Paper: ABM-Christmas Joy-BG-02 (not sure who this is, but likely DigitalScrapbook) Pink Paper: PS Nov2019 BT-OKD-FiL-gpp5 (looks like Oklahoma Dawn at DigitalScrapbook) Green BG paper: Jessica Dunn-rustic wedding solid paper 10 (Digitalscrapbook) weird scatter stuff: Creative Fabrica Photos: mine The quote is not that thick in the reg layout or JPG. I saw it and thought, I need to change that, but when I checked my file, it's nice and thin, like writing. Weird EDIT: I decided to make the fonts more rustic and used the eraser on them to scratch them up and lowered the opacity. the dark black looks to abrupt on the eyes.

  23. I found this origami fox under a load of paper and, as this challenge had reached F, I thought I’d take a photo. If I get some time I might do some folding for other letters.

  25. Project 3: Belsay Hall and Castle is an English Heritage Property in Northumberland (UK). Within the grounds there is a quarry garden that is quite unique with lots of different plants and trees. The photos are mine, the papers and elements are from A Touch of delight by Marisa Lerin, the font is DM Sans Medium.

  29. This challenge became a kind of rollercoaster. At first I started in Affinity, but it didn't worked out well. The photo I choose was not suitable for what I had in mind, I had won the cass-Uneven Lines script and wanted to incorporate that in my layout but found it for this layout a bit too busy. In the end I duplicated the layer with the lines and rotated it 90 degrees and used it as a background under the part of the layout that I already had done. I wanted something to write the date and used an icon with a handheld phone. Afterall that is how I take my photos.šŸ˜‰

  30. Stamped letters challenge. I am currently going through a circle phase. I saw a layout similar by AnnieC so decided to copy it. As per usual, I have saved a template. Allowing me to reuse it. All the circles are saved as vectors. Roll on Spring.

  31. Nice that you followed my lead and this was relatively easy. I'm pleasantly surprised how user friendly this program is; of course there is a lot to be discovered yet.

  32. I had some time and decided to use AFF with an Anna Aspnes template (from her freebie collection) as Corrie had done. Just threw in some pix to determine how easy it would be - and it was! So I added a couple of other elements to try to balance the page a bit more. The text is not important; just typed in a few words to use that space. There were a few other things I wanted to do but couldn't figure out which tools to use (or how), so I let them go.

  33. Not with a picture of Poncho. I start with a this prompt : Rough collie tricolor with happy expression and in male Victorian costume sitting as a person on a tree stump by a stream in a forest. I was looking for a title and came across this image by chance, I don't know the series, but I thought the title was fitting. So I created my title in the same way
