  1. Oh Donna, you do what I do when someone close to me loses their furbaby. Recently, my nephew and his partner lost their long-time rescue dog, and they had no photos at all. He had lost his phone and had no backup system! That made me doubly sad. And just last week, good friends had to make the tough decision for their 16-year-old dog. But there are pix of her from which I used one to create my tribute. Somehow being able to do this makes us feel a tiny bit better. Maybe it will for you and your family too.

  2. I'm sorry to hear about your grandson's best friend (Chooch). It's so hard and heartbreaking to let them go. This wonderful layout will be a treasure for him.

  5. Susan and Julie, Thank you for your sympathy for one of my grand dogs. Fortunately, Matthew had a lot of photos of Chooch. My three oldest grandsons live together with their girlfriends, and the whole family loved Chooch and were devastated. They were all crying when I called. Chooch was part Huskie and loved pulling the boys on their skate boards and floats in the streams around Vegas. He also loved hiking in the desert with Matthew and David's pit bull, Finan.

  6. I tune into my cable provider, Spectrum's News 1 at 5pm when I retire from my desktop. Their coverage is a lot of NYC local + national news and their newsreaders seem unbiased. At 6:30 I switch to ABC to catch World News Tonight with David Muir which segues into "Jeopardy!" which is a lifetime fav. of mine. I do avoid Fox, though I hear they are, in some cases, starting to voice real news instead of extreme political "spin."

  7. I've been watching NewsNation for a while now. They are more middle of the road than other stations. I know when I agree with some things they say and disagree with others, I'm in the right place.

  9. My dear grandson, Matthew, lost his beloved dog, Chooch, last week. Needless to say, he is devasted. I am working on a poster for printing in remembrance of Chooch. These are my first photos. The photos are from Matthew, but the effects are the result of Paintshop and PSE. I must say that Paintshop Pro adjusts the clarity and color of the photos much better than PSE. The frames on three of the pictures were made in PSP using vector tube-the bone frame, Carole's Wordframe script and a doggy heart font from CF. The beach photo effect is from PSE. I have a plethora of photos from which to choose.

  10. Wow, a BIG THANK YOU Cristina. I had a laugh at the professional part. The picture that takes all day to make, I'd go broke if I went in the photography business.

  13. During the winter months, when the opportunity arises I like to walk across the frozen lake. Living in the banks across the lake are lots of rabbits. They have become accustomed to me. Looking down I marvel at the patterns under the ice. Of course I photograph them. I decided to use two shots in this page, which is still a work in progress. The files are very large, so through such compression they will be greatly degraded, but it will give you a gimpse at what I see. I'm also dabbling with the paper cutting technique, even though it is straight lines. As I do, do paper cutting.

  14. I have won this script last Sunday and of course I had to play with it. Although yesterday it didn't worked as it should and after some emailing with Carole we found what was wrong. So this evening I have played with it; I don't have many photos that are suitable for this kind of layout I kept the one of yesterday. It works now but the extraction of the mannequin is not very good, but I concentrated on the script and which of the 3 layers the script offers I wanted to use. When I have time I'm going to look for some flower photos to use with this script. It was fun to play in between the Build a Kit work.

  15. Day 3. The font choice for the title is not the best for this. As we move through, I'll look for another one that fits better with all the pages.
