  1. Thank you Carole, I will keep searching on each cache log for hints and info on lastest finds. I am excited to go again and give each one we missed another chance. 🙂
  2. Logan and I went on our first geocaching adventure. 1st stop, we didn't find it. 2nd stop we did 🙂 3rd stop we did not, or the 4th. But we will try those spots again, as we get more experience. there are 2 other places to check out and then we will have to move to another town. But it was fun and I think it is something we can grow into. 🙂 🙂 🙂
  3. I did a little research and guess what? We have several of them in our small town. I will take my 7 year old grandson out next week to see if we can track a few down. I downloaded the geocaching app, but haven't checked it out. Can I put coordinates in on this app, or is that a different app? Thanks, Clarine
  4. I never heard of geocaching before. That sounds pretty fun and could be a great family adventure searching for treasures. Thanks for the idea---I'll check into it further. Have a safe 4th everyone!!! Clarine
  5. I did it!!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂 Carole, thanks for the much needed help and guidance. I could not have done it without you. I appreciate your kind and patient instructions. I could have done the shadows around the letters, but I got this far and before disaster happens, I will stop here. Grandpa Great lived a good long life. He was one of 13 kids, with a few still here. Sadly, we lost him a four months after this photo. Had he lived just 2 more months, we would have celebrated his 102 birthday. It is pretty special for Emmy to have this wonderful photo of her and her Grandpa Great.
  6. #6 oops, sorry, again troubles with getting the mask to do what it was supposed to do, but my time is up, so this is my project for the day. Grandpa Great was honored for being the oldest member in the American Legion in our city. He proudly rode in the town parade.
  7. #5 Again, several attempts to make a pretty, and perfect project. I again, will be okay with this completed assignment as is. So glad we are not being graded. 🙂 Today's layout is of my kids with their grandpa and my daughter's baby. My son (the one standing next to Grandpa) has his grandpa's name, and his son also carries on with the name tradition. And the baby is also named after his Grandpa Great.
  8. Fun to watch. I especially enjoyed watching the kid in yellow on the right side of the frame (in the first dance). He sure was keeping up with the beat of the music. Too Cute!!!
  9. Grandpa Great was a very hard worker. He often put in long work days as a Field Supervisor at Green Giant. On his rare free days, he enjoyed fishing at his cabin, playing golf and restoring antique engines. He loved playing cards with his wife and the card club gang. And of course most of all, he enjoyed the company of his 4 kids and their spouses, 6 grandkids and 7 great grands.
  10. #3 Sticking with the Grandpa Great theme, this is the next photo to present. I did the kaleidoscope for the background with a part of my daughter's wedding dress. I darkened it as much as I could be still not really that bold. But, it was a fun exercise to see another part of Corel Paintshop Pro. 🙂
  11. #2 Our special Military Man.
  12. I will dedicate this assignment to my father-in-law. We miss him everyday. He has taught us all many great lessons, was always so kind to everyone, thoughtful, generous and loving. He was a GREAT man and a GREAT father. We called him GRANDPA GREAT.
  13. Here is a Japanese Beetle. You can see what they do to the leaves of the raspberry plants. I've heard/read that they love flowers too, but they only pester my raspberry plants. I have found a few in my blueberry bushes too, but, thankfully so far only a handful of beetles on them.
  14. That is a pretty beetle. Kinda looks like a Japanese Beetles that I find in my raspberry bushes. They are destructive so gotta keep them under control. My husband found this moth when he went by it while mowing the lawn. I got a few pics of it snapped and then a bird came and snatched it away. Now that would have been a great photo.
  15. That is a very beautiful moth. Thanks for sharing it with us. We have the hummingbird moths around here and it too is pretty colorful.
