  1. Day 4 (I am a bit behind as I was away at the weekend) I selected some photos from a trip last spring to gardens near us, and the papers were a variety from cpjess. I have varied the shadow a little, and changed some font colour but I only have so much patience and time!!

  2. Here is my final project, hope you like it. Disappointingly tried to download some scrap book papers but they just came up as an image of the kit.

  5. Day 11 Project 5 Finally got this done. Computer or user error. The latter most likely the problem. File just would not open so therefore could not change file to a Jpeg.

  8. I didn't have anything specific in mind this evening to create. I randomly chose a photo from my trip home, created a layout/template, wordart, background paper, and used one of Carole's punches. Using vector shapes particularly for the circles not only gives nice clean lines, I'm able to do text on a path. Retaining the vectors, once I have duplicated and converted to rasters to colourize, texture etc.

  10. Although we have something similar in our neighboring city I have never been there and I don't know if it was a great succes or not. I don't see it mentioned anymore! But there is a new thing here called Yoga with puppies. The authorities are investigating because there is fear that the puppies don't get enough sleep! I definitively won't go there, poor puppies! Grownup cats oké, they do their own thing anyway.

  12. I needed a profile pic and finally found something I could use. Photos of me are rare. I decided to play some and did this. I used PSP with sprockets from marisa-lerin_134588_handy-people-gear, Harley from Harley and me from parents.

  14. With the scrap page, I used some pieces from Jessica Dunn's Curio Pantry. I started with the word Roses much smaller and decided to enlarge that word to balance the page. Jeni

  15. I like very simplistic layouts with my photo(s) to be the star of the show and that suited this project#1 very well. The papers, scatter and star are by Marissa Lerin (digitalscrapbook.com) and come from different kits. The postage stamp is done with my own script. The font is very aptly named Berlin, which I probably will use for this whole project and the other is Lucinda handwriting.

  16. Scrap Bootcamp Day 3 - Project #1 I had so much fun with this project. I tried all kinds of background papers for the vertical element behind the photo and I couldn't find anything I liked. I decided to make my own using Effects>Texture Effects>Blinds and choosing my colours from the photo.

  17. I like this exercise a lot and it is already 4 years after I did it for the first time as a total newbie. At that point I found it all very difficult and could just manage to make the sandwich and table in its most basic form. Today however I made a luxurious version to show how much I have learned in those years, but a rehearsal is always a good idea. The more you learn, the more basic things you tend to forget! I used my own cutlery, I had to polish it and I went shopping for some fresh lettuce and tomato's, onions I had plenty. No pickles and meat for me and I toasted the bread, made a cup of coffee and used my damast tablecloth, a napkin, a plate with strawberries and a little vase with some flowers. All the extra stuff comes out of my stash which has grown over the years considerably.

  18. P52 Week 10. Yay! We are in the double digits now. And I'm caught up here (waaay behind in Build A Kit). I used Lifted Photo script (Creation Cassel) and the color of Counting cards script looked quite nice once I put the background in (the outer frame and fonts is the last step I do). I had wondered about putting a shadow on the bigger font (Week Ten) and when I went to put that shadow on I still had the last shadow as a reverse shadow and it made the font pop a bit more so I left it like that. the background is an inverted gradient, then I used halftone (lines) effect and a bit of Add Noise. The font is aptly called Queen Victoria Vintage, likely from CF (there is a bunch in this font family, presumably each with their own glyphs, which seemed plentiful).

  19. Yes, we had a cat café, but it was in a rather inconvenient location and could only be reached by high concrete stairs in a built-up passage on the second floor. So not visible to walk-in customers. I was there once alone (found it as an advertisement in the regional newspaper) and once with a friend. They had eight cats, but they only came to us when the owner gave us treats for the cats to get them to come to us. The lack of customers and therefore money due to the lockdown ruined the owner's dream. The property owner now wants to start something new. The cats are now in the animal shelter and some have already been placed privately. Which is a shame. 😹
